I recently scheduled regular maintenance and, upon inspection by the tech, I was told the system had numerous issues requiring further investigation (costly testing and repair). The tech recommended that I replace the entire system. He had his service manager respond and he concurred. I was quoted $12,000 for a new system. I decided to get a second opinion. A tech from Air Pro Master came out and replaced 2 pounds of Freon. He said the system was running just fine! I'm glad I got a second opinion! read more

These scammers took forever to fix our AC last year. We have them on camera calling their supervisor telling them they need an extra day because they ordered the wrong part. No explanation to us and no apology or anything for the inconvenience. The next winter our heater breaks. They tell us the entire unit needs to be replaced for $14,000! We get a second opinion and that company tells us ACLV took a fuse from our heater and rewired it to fix the AC which would've only cost $300. My neighbor who has 1 elderly long haired Alaskan Mallamute mix & 3 cats had ACLV install her Lennox A/C & Heating heat pump unit 3 yrs ago & she's had to call ACLV out 10 times to repair the unit. The Lennox parts warranty is still good but the ACLV labor warranty ended the end of June. The A/C unit went out again 1 month ago (free on leak and bad compressor). ACLV is now telling her that the parts are still under warranty & that they will charge her over $1,300 for labor to replace the compressor and free on leak. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! What ACLV should have done a long, long time ago after the 3rd repair call is have Lennox exchange the defected unit they installed for a brand new unit!! Now she's without an A/C. Thank God she was able to get friends to help supply her with a portable unit & 2 window units (bedroom and living room). I WILL NEVER USE NOR REFER ACLV FOR ANYTHING!! Had a problem with our AC breaker kept popping and figure there had to be a short or something that was being overworked to make it keep tripping. Since this was during our heatwave (100+) here in Las Vegas, I needed to get this taken care of ASAP. Despite the fact that we had service through a Home Warranty Company who couldn't say when they would come out, only that I would be contacted within 24-48 hours to schedule a time slot when they can come out (even if this could be a week or two!). The good thing was I had ACLV as my contact for AC issues and had called them earlier in the morning and spoke with Lucy who was absolutely wonderful. She listened to my concerns with my AC and my concern with the Home Warranty. She gathered all my information and assured me that they would be able to get someone out the same day to look at the system, and if I chosed not to used them then I would only be charged a nominal service fee for coming out. After four hours of dealing with the home warranty, I decided not to use their service and had ACLV send someone out to check out the AC system. When I'd called back ACLV, Lucy still remembered me and had my info and said that someone would be out between 4-6 pm. Sure enough, my doorbell rang and Joe was there as promised. The only problem was I thought I was going to get a text message with a photo of the driver and when I could expect them which is the only thing that didn't happen (which was not a problem), as I was happy to see him. Well, it turned out that the capacitor had gone bad which was not a surprise to me since I did my research with AC awhile back when my daughter had a problem with her AC not working. Upon inspection, Joe tested other things and made some suggestions on what he would replace and do to make sure that the unit doesn't fail again. We agreed to do just what was necessary to get the AC working at this time, however we will be contacting them back later to schedule the other things that Joe had mentioned. Joe was very thorough to make sure that everything was working and also checked to make sure that it was blowing cold and within specs. The bottom line is despite the fact that my day did not start out too well, but it did end on a positive note. There was nothing wrong with my AC or furnace, but my house is 14 years old and didn't want to have something break when it was 115 degrees outside, so I decided to replace everything now. I had 5 different companies come into my home to give me a quote. ACLV was my last appointment. I'm so glad I called. Not only did they beat everyone's price, they destroyed them! I'm not talking a few hundred dollars, I'm talking thousands and thousands of dollars less. They arrived on time, protected my floors and installed (2) 2.5 ton Lennox AC units and a new furnace in 8 hours. They cleaned everything up, showed me how to operate the new thermostats and left my house cleaner than when they arrived. I was really dreading writing this review but here we are. We had this company install two brand new Goodman units in our house in March of 2020. Since then they have been back 12 times due to problems. Yes 12 times. Everything from the installers putting boards in backwards to the newest problem the compressor going. It's been almost a week now without air in the bedrooms. Forget the fact that the home is occupied by two 70 something year olds. Now this time is what really bothered me. Friday they sent a tech out that couldn't figure out the problem. I'll be back tomorrow. Ok. Now he diagnoses the compressor for a third time and that's the problem. Oh by the way we have no compressors. WHAT!!!! How are you a reputable ac company and have no compressors. Here comes the best part. We call the office today and they say sorry we are backed up. Really lady. It's 110 degrees out. She says it's the nature of the beast. No lady it's not. Maybe it's your company that doesn't know what they are doing. 12 times you've come to this house. Update to a review posted 3 months ago. Just had the AC system serviced, not by ACLV. (Remember the ACLV tech said my heating and cooling system was a mess and needed to be replaced for a price tag of 15 to 20 thousand dollars) To be fair, had the AC checked today and the AC was fine. Only one part needed to be replaced, capacitor. The tech from the company I called for 2nd opinion, showed me the results in writing. End result, the heating and cooling system didn't need to be replaced. In good conscience, ican't recommend ACLV. read more

After my original rooftop A/C unit worked hard for a full 21 years I decided that it was time to let her retire. After calling 6-7 other A/C companies it turned out that ACLV was the only one that would come out to give me an estimate and not charge me for it. Only one other company would come out, and they wanted to charge me for the estimate. One company that only accepts cash turned out to be the highest estimate Everyone else was more than happy to quote prices over the phone but wouldn't come out to give an estimate. Will from ACLV showed up for the estimate as scheduled. Early even. I can't tell you how much that means to me. I absolutely HATE being kept waiting especially when I am spending this amount of money. After taking some measurements and checking my old unit and the size of my air returns we sat down to take a look at the pricing. Everything was all laid out by manufacturer and SEER ratings with the complete installed prices. Yes, I said it. The complete installed prices. My old unit qualified for a rebate from the utility company if I upgraded to a higher SEER unit from the base 13 SEER unit. Will even explained to me that it really only made sense to upgrade to the higher priced unit if I was staying in the home. Not to bother with the increased price if I was going to be selling within the next 5 years. Honesty? An A/C company? Color me confused..... I am staying in the house for the foreseeable future so I opted for the higher priced higher SEER unit. A Trane. ACLV is taking care of my rebate. I have to do nothing but appreciate the reduction in price. No rebate to wait for. It is taken care of. ACLV was the least expensive of all the companies I contacted. They were also the only ones willing to give an in person estimate without charging. Basically, no surprises. Straight forward. Paid exactly what I was quoted. No hard/up selling. He explained that they were looking to expand to the Reno area and would like a to meet with us to offer a bid on the project (AC installation). My husband who works late got up early to meet him and BJ didn't show up or call, nothing. I called the company an hour after he was supposed to arrive and the person who answered the phone was very polite and took all my information assuring me BJ would call soon with a reasonable explanation. I understand things happen, I have certainly had a flat tire or gotten the wrong date for an appointment. I purchased my air conditioner and furnace from ACLV two years ago and have been very satisfied with their professionalism, expertise and outstanding customer service. This afternoon, Joel came to my home to perform my six-month maintenance to make sure that my AC unit is operating at peak performance prior to the summer months. He arrived at my home within the promised time frame and explained exactly what service he would be providing. He was extremely courteous, went right to work, and completed all the maintenance checks within an hour. Based on the positive experiences that I have had with ACLV, I will purchase their annual maintenance contract upon their next visit which will include heating, cooling and plumbing. Bought a unit from ACLV and had the unit installed. A few months in, we started using our heater and noticed that the unit was dripping water onto our roof. Enough water to cause a puddle on the concrete. Had 3 techs come out. One said nothing was wrong, second tried to level the unit, and third said nothing is wrong with it. That it's ok for it to drip on the roof, as long as it's not dripping inside the home. That it is just condensation. I guess the pvc pipe that is supposed to drain the condensation isn't working or installed properly. It is not ok for the water to drip on my roof. They also tried to level the unit using rubber pieces taped together with electrical tape. I asked if we can get a new stand installed to properly level the unit, employee said it's up to the people in charge and that he would send them pictures. We paid thousands of dollars to have our unit installed properly, and sadly it was not. I have a video but I can't upload on here. I do not recommend them. read more

To be honest I'm late with this review. This past May when we turned our AC on for the first time there was no joy. This was after going through Hell the summer before when our home warranty company sent out the worst ac/heating unit there can possibly be(no names just be advised that Russian is the primary language). We have 2 older dogs and 1 is diabetic so the stress form the heat really wasn't good for either. Anyway, after an entire freaking month of excuses and re-do's, and $1200 out of pocket, our AC was working. One year later, go to turn it on for the first time and ....NO JOY! Blowing nice warm air. Call the same rude, incompetent co that did such a fine job the prior year and was told , no warranty have to pay. Ha...NOT going thru that again. Our AC was 23 years old so we decided to go with a new system. So we called around for some estimates, ACLV being one of them. My initial contact was with Daryl, (he's no longer there) and he was great. It was a Sunday and he had no problem spending the time expaining everything and answering all of our questions. Long story short we went with ACLV and glad we did. Not only did they get out the day after we said do it they also included a Fall checkup and a Spring/Summer check. The installation was perfect and awesome. And everything works better than it ever did when brand new. Yeah I know technology has advanced this past quarter century but still....When we called to get out Fall maintenance done Laura was awesome. Sorry I don't know the tech they sent but the wife said he was very professional and took the time to make sure everything was running properly. Yes we recommend this company, the price, quality and professionalism is just as it should be. You can't go wrong and 2 of my friends used them after hearing our story and are just as pleased. TIME IS MONEY I'm going to do something I've never done: I'm creating my feedback at the half-point of my AC installation. Here is my feedback thus far: Why did I take the morning off from work? I was scheduled for a 10:00 a.m. installation. Knowing that time could be modified, I allotted for 90-minute wait time. Having waited for someone, anyone, from the company to contact me with an estimated time of arrival, I called after 11:30 a.m. inquiring about today's 10:00 a.m. start time that has come and gone. I was informed by Gerald he was unaware of what happened. I was given an estimated start time of 3:00 p.m. There's is nothing worse for me as the paying consumer to have to call a company to inquire about feedback that should have been provided to me when an issue arises. Maybe I should become the customer service representative? What I do know is as the director of my HOA and my husband working for a home improvement store, referrals go a long, long way. There are quite a number of sub-division residents needing to be compliant with the upcoming (January 2020) laws regarding freon (ultimately resulting in many needing new AC systems). I shall provide those here with my feedback and concerns. As I mentioned, I'm providing this feedback at what is the midpoint of my service (or the lack thereof). Run...do not walk...away from this place. After reading several positive reviews and have a recommendation from a neighbor I chose ACLV to install a heat pump unit on my roof, this was in 2016. Three months after install the unit started leaking, it has broken down every year since installation. ACLV NEVER reported the issues with the unit to LENNOX. So LENNOX even though the unit had broken down 7 times in three years they would not help me because ACLV never reported the issues. Not during this time the unit had already been REBUILT twice, I had to call LENNOX tech services myself and put them in touch with the ACLV repair tech to walk them through the rebuild. Also, at some point after this, not sure LENNOX dropped ACLV from their preferred provider plan. So after the rebuild when the unit broke down again ACLV had the nerve to want to charge me $1500 to repair it. The "MANAGER" showed up at my house all pretending to care and acting like he was some kind of HVAC tech wearing dress shoes, he couldn't even get on the roof to inspect the unit. I asked him to help me with LENNOX and he said" he would try", but only to never return a single phone call again. I had to fight with them for another 8 months to try and get copies of all the repairs they did and the photos they took to which I have still never received. After 4 other companies came and gave me estimates, most would only replace they unit as NONE wanted to be a part of the "ACLV DRAMA" as on tech put it. My only choice was to let ACLV do the repair for $1500 but LENNOX refused to give the parts to ACLV or repair the unit. If ACLV has just done the right thing from the beginning and taken ownership of the problems and contacted LENNOX like they were required to do under the warranty that unit would have been replaced. But they didn't. They didn't do their job, they didn't take care other client, they didn't live up to the responsibility of being a preferred provider. Basically they are just not good at their job. An HVAC unit is a lot of money to invest in your home and to trust with a company that doesn't care about you or the work. Eventually I had the unit replaced with a new company. read more

Thursday, February 10 about 9 PM my hot water heater has gone out and my family has just arrived from out of state. I called a CLV and a young lady by the name of Joe Eda answered the phone who is so nice so professional understanding she said that she would be in the office the next day Friday morning and will give me a call at 7:30 AM to let me know what time the crew could come out and replace my hot water heater. Do you want to call me exactly at 7:30 Friday morning let me know that the guys would be on their way they would have to stop and get a hot water heater apparently there's a shortage of hot water heaters in the city so they came by and started draining the hot water heater and said they were going to a warehouse to get a hot water heater the guys came back there was two they came back had a hot water heater I was so excited with family being in town they did an excellent job very professional and Joetta and the whole crew deserve five stars thank you so much best service I've had read more

Had an appointment with these guys today to estimate replacing some ductwork in my attic and adding 2 vents. Had initially called ACLV which merged to form this new company : fetch a tech. Get a text at 11:10am that technician is en route , be here in 22 minutes. At 11:52am, no technician Jason S. had arrived. I texted them because their tracker showed he was just coming from the southwest side of town to summerlin . They said he was 12 minutes away. At 12:34pm, still no sign of him. I text them again asking where is this guy coming from , L.A.? Shouldn't take this long especially after you tell me he's on his way an hour and 20 minutes ago. I decide to go grab something to eat around the corner . As I drive up the sidesteeet , I see the Fetch a Tech wrapped pick up truck with their tech parked halfway up the block and the driver - the tech id been waiting on sitting there looking down in his lap as though he's watching something on his phone or texting. Id been waiting an hour and half for his "arrival" per their tracker by this time . I called them and said no thanks , not dealing with your business . Unprofessional and a waste of time. read more

David came out to fix the 6 connections to our bathroom sinks that had become corroded because of Vegas water. Also to put a new drain and stopper in the guest bath. These were on an inspection list as We are selling the condo. He was very talkative and then came up with an estimate of $1100 to which we stupidly agreed. Now know it was way out of line! He knew we needed our fireplace fixed so proceeded to tear it apart and say he was going to find out what was wrong and call the next day to let us know and give us an estimate. Now, this is a plumber not a Fireplace expert. Next day I get a phone call from him giving us an estimate for a new thermocouple and switch for $1000-$1500 plus labor! At that point, we knew we were being gouged. I told him no and we proceeded to hire Mariah who found the missing part under the fireplace, changed the switch and had it working in 25 minutes for $120! So you can see what a rip off ACLV was! Stay far away from this company, total rip off. Fireplace Fix saved us at least $1800 because we do not know what labor would have been! ACLV totally ripped us off and did not get a chance to do it again. For fireplace needs call Fireplace Fix! They are awesome! Would have given ACLV zero stars if possible! read more

They were 1 hour and 10 minutes late for their appointment, even though I was clear with the tech when he called that I had to be at work. So he made me late for work. Quoted a price that was $4000 higher than other estimates I've received for the same/similar service and product. Tried to tell me their "cost" to replace AC unit on roof was $2000 more than other companies and they wouldn't even make any money off that. I don't recommend this company at all. *Update in response to owner's reply.* The tech called me and said he would be here between 9am-11am. He had a 2 hour window and he was an hour and ten minutes late for that. I would have never agreed to a time any later because I had to go to work. But that's not the only issue. I got a verbal estimate for $8500, and a written estimate for $7900 which is literally double what other companies have estimated. The biggest issue here is the inflated price, which I think consumers should be aware of. I have no reason to speak to the owner about anything. My tenant said the AC wasn't cooling as well as it did before, so after seeing positive reviews on yelp I called these guys. A guy came out to the condo and didn't bother to call me and let me know what the problem was or what it'll take to fix it until I asked my tenant if they ever showed up. That's when the technician finally contacted me and, starting with a bunch of excuses as to why he didn't call me from the job, told me I need to replace the AC unit and that it'll cost me $4,600!!! And another $2,000 for the outside unit, to save on the "bundle" and insure it works well! He said he'll email me the inspection breakdown the next morning, but it took 6 days and 3 phone calls to the office to receive it! I found this behavior unprofessional and wanted a second opinion. I found another company on here with hundreds of great reviews whose busy owner took the time to return my call. He sent me a guy who located and fixed the problem in 20 minutes! And it cost me $300 instead of 4,600!!! The only reason I didn't give ACLV 1 star is because their technician showed up and the girls in the office have good phone manner. read more

Robert came out that afternoon to check it out, we ultimately decided to replace it and our 20yr. 4 ton unit, he gave told us the cost and we had both air/heat units were installed Friday. I needed a fireplace inspection done and although this is not a regular request, they made it happen, and very affordable. Juan stopped by a exactly the right time, it so happened my hot water tank decided to burst a few minutes before he showed up. He was ringing the bell , I had a dog having a fit, someone on the phone ..... craziness all around !!!!!!! He instantly jumped into action , went into garage and turned the water off . I have used this company for years and have been highly satisfied. Everyone I have encountered over the years from Chantel in the office to all the workers have been friendly and professional. Today Aiden came out on a maintenance check. He took pictures and video of my ducts, unit , etc. so he could show me what was happening with my system. Once we determined I needed work done he called his manager Brent, who stopped by my house 15 minutes later on his way home. I explained that I was recently retired and on a fixed income. Brent was able to provide me with with many different payment options to pick from. My experience is they are fast and reliable and I highly recommend them. Just a brief review of the Lennox 5-ton heating and air conditioning system that was recently installed in my home on 4/12/18: 1. The quote process could be enhanced to provide timely response as promised to customer. Equipment delivered vs. quoted were slightly altered at the very last minute. 2. ACLV offered a very competitive pricing against other bids I received. 3. The installation was done within the same day without any issues. I am very particulate when it comes to floor covering, so this process could be enhanced. Only the stair cases leading to the second floor were covered in the morning, until someone came by in the afternoon to completely cover the rest of the entry way to the staircases. 4. The final drywall touch-up, as part of the package provided by ACLV, is a plus to wrap up the installation. It is quite inconvenient that I have to search for a painter to finish this work after the installation by ACLV. 5. My overall experience with ACLV is a plus for this project read more

I am having a difficult time understanding who these 1 star reviews are talking about because that is NOT the ACLV that I've been working with. I used them last year to do a general inspection of the 12 year old Bryant unit in our vacation condo (which we get to use not nearly often enough). The technician gave me some valid advice on how to make the unit not struggle so hard in the desert heat. He was right. I followed his advice and the unit did work less hard to keep up with demands. This year - and only God knows why - I called another company to diagnose/evaluate why my system seemed to be cycling on and off continually. I won't name the other firm since I don't want to get sued, but the name is hard to spell. I was told that the fan motor was failing and causing serious damage to the compressor. I shelled out nearly $1200 for a new fan and capacitors on the spot. A supervisor was called in who told me the system was in imminent danger of total failure and kindly offered to replace the entire outdoor compressor system for around 8 grand. After nearly choking I called Mike at ACLV and got an appointment for a four hour window THE NEXT DAY! I was happy as a pig since I was sure I'd have to wait a few days. Their guy shows up at just after 8 AM and after a whole lot of research finds that a loose thermostat connection was the problem. Talk about going above and beyond. Mike knew that I had been primed and was ready to be convinced that the system needed to be replaced - and I probably would have done so if they pushed me. DONT BE FOOLED! Especially women! I called ACLV because my AC was slightly cold but flooding each time it shut off which was a real concern. Daniel arrived with not much experience as he stated and said I have a possible freon leak which causes it to not get very cold and then leaks freon causing ice blocks and when AC shuts off, it then melts causing these floods. This seemed like common sense to me so I agreed. Daniel called his boss whom wanted to sell me an entire new AC unit. I did what Daniel recommended , which was to fill freon and see if it lasts and doesn't flood. I paid 250.00 for freon and asked Daniel what he may think was the cheapest route if I do have a leak. He recommended a "search freon leak and fix". After one week of floods and freon all leaked out again I made another call, Corey arrived well experienced and said an additional 850.00 needs to be collected and I need the "search and leak fix job" as this will find cause and KEEP AIR COLD AND STOP LEAKS! (Focusing on floods) I paid the additional 850 dollars for the "search leak fix "and Corey found the source and installed the part a few days later as the part was on order. Problem solved as per Corey. Two weeks later I'm in floods each time my AC shuts off! I called ACLV (I'm in a flood) Caesar arrived the next day. Caesar looks over my AC and said I need to give them 1500.00 to repair a hole as it's leaking from a PVC pipe or pay 3-7 thousand for a whole new unit. I replied that I paid 850 for a "SEARCH LEAK AND FIX " two weeks prior and that means ACLV was to find this problem and FIX IT " with that 850 dollars I gave from their quote and not charge me again stating it's LEAKING from a hole somewhere else!! THAT IS WHAT THE SEARCH LEAK AND FIX WAS FOR AT 850!!! I asked Caesar to call his boss. He refused so I telephoned asking for the boss and a man named Todd replied to me " At least I have cold air and I should either pay the couple thousand to them to stop this leak or go somewhere else and hung up!" I was mortified and livid! It's been 3days of me trying to call them to fix this leak as THAT WAS WHAT I PAID 850 FOR! All calls are ignored. I'm a female-single mother with a child in 110 degrees in Vegas and they took advantage of that as I felt like a target against 3 men with my AC in their hands that I knew nothing about these machines. I still have towels and buckets in my hallway after I paid the 850 to correct this!! (The floods) I'm broke and live in a place that was passed to me by family so all expenses are on me. Our a /c unit was pretty old it was the original from 1988 on our roof. However because the previous owners had a home warranty almost every part inside was replaced over and over again. Anyways in the middle of summer the air conditioner stopped feeling cool again and the house was in the 80s. With a new baby, a toddler, and dogs this was not going to fly. I looked online dreading getting a new unit. I saw a 4900.00 price for a 5 ton roof unit by aclv. My husband called and asked if this was the total bottom line price. The woman said yes. He said with crane and taxes? Again she said yes but said it was the basic unit and no upgrades and without a new thermostat. We had an employee come out. He told us the coolant was leaking and then gave us a quote for the unit. It was 600.00 more than the website and phone for the same product so be aware of that. The worker said he hates their advertising because that isn't the price when he gets to houses he has to tell people otherwise. This was the only upsetting or odd thing to me. Most businesses would stand by an advertised price. Anyways we still went with this company because the employee was nice and confident and said he could have a new Ac in that day or the next morning the latest. The next morning they came out. My husband was a little disappointed the install was done by different employees because he was under the impression it was going to be the same guy who we met with and called us to schedule all of this. The install was done pretty quick, within an couple of hours maybe. They also include a warranty for a year I believe it is and the product has a good warranty. It's nice to have a/c again and I would recommend this company in the end. read more
