Terrible body shop. I've lived in the area for all my life, always heard good things about them but it's false. They might have been good years ago but now they are not. Got hit took my car to their shop took a month to get it back between them and my insurance company they couldn't get my car fixed in a timely manner, pathetic. Then when I got it back it looked like crap after everyone from acme and progressive told me it would be like it was before I got hit. I looked like a child did the work.So I complained and they redid the job just as poorly. Looked ok for about a week then I could see all Kinds of white showing through on my black car. Couple weeks later rust where it had just been repaired. I wouldn't t recommend my worst enemy go here. read more

I don't even know where to begin. My brand new car was rear ended on July 19th and sent to Acme after it was appraised. Not only did they take great care of my car, they took great care of me and worked perfectly in sync with my insurance company. The office staff was amazing as was everyone who worked on my car. I got my car back , LOOKING FLAWLESS and the very next day got hit while parked , on what was already a difficult week for me. To say that the owners and office staff have gone out of their way to take care of my car and also show me compassion, is an understatement. I'm not always the most trusting person and I can say without a doubt that I trust them implicitly with my vehicle and my own best interests. Sure, they're a business and they've made a decent amount of money due to my bad luck recently, but they have not once taken advantage of me or handled my concerns with anything other than respect and courtesy. Everyone involved at Acme is a hard worker and I honestly wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else , should I ever have the horrible luck of needing their services again. read more

I was happy with the work I had done here. I had my rear bumper replaced here after a minor collision. The quality of work was good: the new bumper looks great, and Acme did a great job cleaning up the car afterwards. Looked as good as new. They were timely: estimated it would take two days, and I got my car back two days later. They also didn't try to sell me any additional repairs, which was nice. Only downside was customer service, which was mediocre. A reviewer below said it seems like they've gotten really busy and stopped caring - I got the same impression in their shop. They had to book the repair two weeks out and didn't call me when my car was finished. They also commented about my car being "filthy" when I brought it in, which caught me off guard. (My car was covered in salt from driving in the Massachusetts winter.) In any case, I'd recommend them for their work. read more

My cousin is service manager at a large local dealership and recommended Acme when I was in need of some body work. I'm glad he did. The estimate was reasonable, turnaround was quick, the work looks great, and the office staff was helpful. Highly recommended. Oh yeah, and they washed and vacuumed the car too! It's unfortunate you can't give negative stars. Don't always go to a auto repair shop just because they have been "in business for x amount of years". I only chose this auto shop because of the "car ez" program through my insurance company. Let's just say NEVER AGAIN. After first seeing them to "get it fixed", the lady at the front desk tried to charge me an extra $243 to my total bill. Which I then had to contact my insurance agent about and go back into the shop to see why I was over charged. The receptionist (come to find out the owners daughter) then proceeded to argue and tell me what she charged me was correct. It wasn't, and thankfully the owner did give me back the difference in money (the only thing he did right). Further, they not only dinged up, scratched, and left paint runs on my "fixed bumper", but later found out how they glued things back on instead of properly repairing, AND used a broken piece from a wooden paint stick to try and shim my parts back together. I brought to two other auto body shops for their input and advice and both were absolutely baffled. One of which I paid out of pocket to have him take my car apart and look at. I also have never encountered a business owner with such AWFUL bedside manners. Downright terrible, please save yourself the headache. They only bandaid the problem and make it "look nice" from the outside but boyyyy I can only imagine what the deep interiors of past cars look like. Acme sounds like acne for a reason....YOU DONT WANT THEM. read more

Snake oil salemen. I brought my wife's crossover down to them a few weeks back after she hit the garage doorframe, and was told that the front quarter panel needed to be replaced, the foglight cover needed to be replaced, and several hours of labor to complete the work. In total, the estimate was over $1000. I was shocked but assumed they were the "professionals" and new best. I wanted to verify the price, so I brought it to another autobody shop. I was told that all it needed was a good buffing and it would look as good as new. Low and behold, the car was back in my garage, and looked good as new - and for a lot less than $1000!!! Avoid them, clearly they think they can scam people. read more

First time I've needed auto body work since I moved to Leominster. Acme was one of two preferred auto body shops in town and they were close so I gave them a try. Staff was helpful and friendly and didn't seem to get too irritated when I called to check on the status of my work. I basically had a rear panel (near my gas cap) ordered, replaced and painted. It took a little over a week which seemed like a long time to me but was right in line with some work friends and family had done at other places and the work looks great. No doubt, 5 stars. This is my second time using them for body repairs on my BMW X5. I have to say, one of the most honest shops around. Especially driving a foreign car, many shops will try to get you on repair prices! The shop only had my car for two days, as promised. Other shops fall short in turn around times. What was a headache for me, because it was a hit and run accident turned into an easy, smooth fix and another great experience! These guys know what they are doing, and take care of you! read more

If anyone is deciding whether to use Acme Auto Body, please take it from me and go somewhere ELSE. I took my vehicle there in October 2017, they needed to take the door off to replace it, and when I got it back a week later, the door hinges didn't line up. Took it back the following business day, and one of the guys said he "worked" on it as much as he could. They were still not aligned. So then he said he would have to order TWO new hinges. Three weeks goes by and I heard nothing from them until I called up my insurance company to contact them. He told me bring the vehicle down but just looked at it and then said come back next week. Meanwhile, my door is still not shutting properly and probably damaged the latching system by now. Another week goes by, and now he has the part and it's painted and tells me to bring it down for half the day only to find they still did not do it right! Then one of the mechanics tried to "fix" it right there in the parking lot! And asked ME for assistance! Sure enough something broke! And they didn't even take responsibility for it. I have to take it to someone else now to correct their error. If they can't put the doors back on correctly, they shouldn't say they can. Nor should they ask their customer to do their work for them! I would NEVER go back to them nor recommend them. Please seek real auto body professionals... they don't exist at Acme Auto Body. read more

I would recommend this place to anyone who is involved in an accident. I was cut off by a Ford f250 and I drive a small Hyundai accent. My front end was gone. I had called Salvadore Auto Body in Gardner since I been to them before. They were extremely rude and told me my car couldn't be repaired for at least 2 months. So My insurance agent called Acme Auto Body and they towed my car that day to their building and began fixing it. It took about 3 weeks to get my car back, but there was a lot of damage. My car came back to me and my front end turned out beautiful. Only thing that was wrong was one of my headlights was out, but it just wasn't connected right. Easy fix. Plus every time I called to check in on my car and when I had to go there to drop of paperwork they were extremely friendly. I'll definitely be back. read more

I've used Acme three times over the last 10 years. The first two times were great. The most recent, not so much. I got the feeling that they were busy enough and just didn't care as much anymore. It took a couple return trips to get the rattles out and get a paint issue fixed. I think next time I'll try someplace else. read more

I brought my suv to be worked on. I talked to the owner's son who name is Steve. I was told it would be done in a week. Well the work took two weeks and the screen to my radio was damaged. I brought it back right away and he refuse to take ownership to the damage of my radio. It is funny how he knew how it could be broken but refuse to take responsibility for what was done. What a hack job. I thought I was taking my car to a professional place. Well they ARE NOT!! Keep your car and your radio away from Steve. He likes to break them. read more
