For what it's worth (a bar, duh!) Acme Bar & Grill has solid bar food with a very laid back vibe. My friends and I went about fifteen minutes and couldn't decide what to order (so we ordered a ton, see photos). What were the showstoppers: wings, shrimp, pizza, quesadillas and crab balls. The wings are super crispy (fried hard) and flavorful, the pizza is simple but satisfying, and the quesadillas are cheesy and filling. I visited Acme for a friend's birthday. We did a little bar hopping and started off here. For starters, this place is loud on the weekend so if that's your thing, you're in for a good time. I ended up getting the cheesesteak egg rolls which were just okay. I would've liked a little more cheese in them and a different dipping sauce besides marinara. The service was attentive despite how busy it was. After my friend and I finished our appetizers and drinks, we left to meet up with friends at another spot. Dude at the bar berated me about not handing him my credit card (I did). I am not a big fan of wings but their Buffalo Garlic Parmesan wings are something different!!! Their tater tots are super crispy and crunchy and the sauce they come with is amazing! I personally love getting the cheesesteak rolls and dipping them in that special sauce! Try their beer towers or a classic Orange Crush! The staff is very friendly and attentive. Some nights they do covers and the food is a little bit more on the pricey side ($13 for 10 wings and no side). They also allow you to bring your dog if you're sitting outside! Do not go to Acme ever again! This bar is not a safe! My son was assaulted by a complete stranger in an unprovoked attack Friday, 11/24/2023. While in line for the bathroom, he was attacked by a guy who had just come out of the bathroom. My son was not looking and the guy grabbed his head and slammed it into a wall with an exposed screw leaving him in pain and bleeding profusely!! The bar showed no concern about his injuries, did not call for an ambulance or police, and threw him out onto the street! Was in town for the night. My 21 year old daughter and her friend made the mistake of coming to Acme Bar & Grill. The Neandertal bouncer destroyed my daughters license claiming it was fake. She left in tears! I went to talk to the bouncers and one told me he did it because it was fake. When I told him she is 21, he said too bad and to call the police if I had a problem. I'm not familiar with Annapolis and when I was coming out here, I really didn't expect anything much at all. I had a great time here. Sunday, 11/21/21, 1:30pm. My one and only interaction in this place was to walk in, ask the bartender if he could turn the channel on an unwatched TV to pick up an out of market football game. He turned around, asked his superior (I'm assuming bar manager?) if that would be ok. Boss (who wasn't doing anything, wasn't busy....at all) couldn't be bothered, and offhandedly responded "no, not now" without having the guts to look at us as he rendered his verdict, instead turning his back on us and futzing with something on the back bar. Suffice it to say I can't comment on food, drink or quality of the rest of the staff, as we turned around and walked out. If I were to offer advice for improvement to whoever owns this place, I would say "hire some managers who actually know how to manage and actually care as much as you do about the business they're representing". Heaven help the place if the "manager" behind the bar was actually the owner. If not, heaven help the owner, given a bit of a common theme in these reviews re: poor attitudes, if they can't fix their staffing problems. A shame that such a great location should be wasted. If you have out of state IDs definitely don't go. bartender charged me $12 for a $7 drink and while he went to get it, he made out with his girlfriend first. then my friends got drinks and he said "aren't you gonna tip me?". A friend and I had a nice event here on a random Wednesday night and I was told the wings are amazing, so I had to be the judge of that. The location is in s perfect spot because there are other bars on the strip. Parking isn't bad on the weekday and the bar itself wasn't crowded at all. The vibe was very chill, after my event I ordered wings and they were actually really good!! I orders the hot garlic Parmesan all wings. I loved that wasn't charged extra to order all flats either which is always a plus in my book. I enjoyed them that night and they were even better the next day for lunch. I'm not usually in the Annapolis area so I'm not sure if this would be my first choice, but at that moment I did enjoy the bar. The bouncer Austin was an absolute jerk. He would not let my friend and I in because he thought our real IDs were fake, stating that "there's absolutely no way" we were 24. We offered to provide alternative forms of ID and he was unwilling to look at them. The second bouncer said to change his mind/prove our IDs were real we needed police verification. I'd recommend this place to a friend based solely upon their wings. Hands down, best wings in Annapolis. I highly recommend the Memphis Gold. They're the perfect combo of sweet honey BBQ and spice. Don't use out of state IDs here! I used a valid Kansas ID to enter ACME and it was repeatedly bent nearly 180 degrees which has led to the eventual destruction of the license. As a valid drivers license, it had holographic imaging and other features delineating it as real. These methods could have been used as opposed to destroying government property. I now have to replace my drivers license, and I'm not going to replace it just to have it bent again so I can wait 30 minutes for a pissed off bartender to hand me a drink. read more

I've been here once before for the Yelp Makers Bar Crawl. So we decided to come back again after the Polar Bear Plunge. My wife enjoyed the wings and I decided on a cheeseburger with the crab dip . Wow that was the best cheeseburger I ever had. Me and my wife both enjoyed there crab chowder soup. I forgot that this establishment was more of a sports bar. So I really wish the service reflected the food. If I was rating based on food this place would get 5 stars. The service was absolutely awful! Everything took too long from drinks to getting the check. Food: I got the buffalo chicken wrap and it was amazing! The chicken was great and their homemade hot sauce was a perfect compliment. I also got a $2 draught lager on happy hour and it was actually a normal size drink for a great happy hour price. I also recommend the crab dip appetizer and the crab cake was actual lump crab meat. Amazing! Service: Let me preface this by saying I am a server. This was the first time I have ever negated to leave a tip because I am a very forgiving customer since I understand the struggle. I also get that our server was helping behind the bar. However, we made it clear we were in a rush, but still waited just under a half an hour to get our check while our waitress took shots behind the bar with her bar customers and a fellow bartender while we sat there with empty plates waiting to pay. Decided to go back to this place after i was introduced to their Memphis bbq wings during the Yelp Makers Mark beer crawl. The seating is fairly comfortable and definitely would be great for a large group. After I looked over the menu, I decided to get 10 wings (fairly priced at $7.00 and i wanted to see if they could duplicate the awesomeness I had the day before) and the Grilled chicken club. My fiance ordered wings and the crab chowder soup. The wings were not as awesome as they were yesterday because they were not as crispy as they were the day before :(. The opportunity to redeem themselves will come again because I will specifically ask them to make them on the crispier side. I know they are capable of crisping something because the chicken club came out and was beautiful except the super crisp and ultimately inedible bacon on the sandwich. After punishing the fries and debating on bringing the unacceptable state o my sandwich I decided to wave down a server. She noted it looked crispy and would get me some bacon. Soon after our waitress came over said "burned bacon huh? I'll take care of that" and within 5 minutes she appeared again with a new sandwich and fries. I was definitely impressed. The food here is very good! We stopped in for a drink and appetizers on our bar hopping tour of the area. I decided to get the club sandwich(triple decker) with onion rings and fore went the appetizer. I was very happy with my decision. The club was delicious! Fresh tomatoes, perfectly toasted bread, good turkey meat and very good bacon The setting in Acme is that of a dive bar with some class lol There are a few booths, some tables and ample bar space. They have a decent selection of drafts as well. I went with the Sam Adams Summer Ale The service here was very fast and friendly. At least our waitress was anyway. In all, I'd say definitely stop by for a pint and some food. They have a great selection and I will definitely return to try their chicken wings. If i could give a zero i would LOL this asshole in acme well these assholes decided to play music off an ipad with no EQ which means it sounded obnoxiously loud and it was hurting my friend and my own ears. So i kindly asked i guess the manager could he turn it down he told me "no, not happening this girl just paid us $1000 to play this". Now i don't know if this belligerently drunk woman paid that amount or not, although i doubt it. I just found it rude that i am asking them to turn it down a couple notches and money made them treat me like shit..money they probably wont even get lmao. So they start saying things like give me $1000 and ill turn it down. I basically said when i come back with hearing loss make sure you have that 1k. Then the bartender decided to turn the ipad music up. Luckily for them i am in therapy and working on my reactivity but the right person would have thrown a drink right in that mans face. As you can see he is posing for the photo so its only right i share with you all. If you like trash quality ipad music, overpriced drinks, childish drunk bartenders and a tiny ass venue, acme is your place. Now i will say the bouncers outside were very kind and enjoyable. But i think whats going on inside is a lot more important. And this little place has the nerve to charge sometimes which is why i typically never go, but it was open on christmas eve and free for whatever reason. What a delicious treat for lunch. I had two different appetizers. Corn and Crab fritters, crispy, with delicious Remolaude dipping sauce and deviled eggs with 4 deep fried oysters on top drizzled with a nice spicy garlic cayenne hot housemade sauce. Very fun bar! Went with a group of 6 on a Friday around 7pm and ordered Orange Crush's and a beer tower. Service was prompt and the drinks were reasonably priced. By 10-11ish they cleared tables for a dancefloor and it quickly changed into a younger crowd with loud music (true for most of the bars nearby.) We still had a blast! read more

On October 7,2020 A group of us decided to try your facility for lunch as 4 of us had never been there. When we arrived we walked in and asked if we could be seated outside. We where seated on the right hand side long table bench. While we were seated and just placed our order for drinks and food when another party was sitting at the long table on the left hand side. The party had a dog with them and placed the dog on the table top where u place your food the dog is just walking all on top the table. The dog then uses the restroom on the table. The waitress Hailey/Heather can't remember off hand come back outside the restaurant and goes over to this same table doesn't tell them to take the dog off table or anything and begins to pet the dog. When we asked her to please come to our table to let her know that we no longer wanted to eat due to the scene we just witnessed especially during these times of covid and sanitation the waiter became very combative and rude and loud and nasty to us as patrons of the establishment. As we are getting up to leave table she then goes back to the other table to tell them why we where getting up to leave and then when another party of my group asked for a manger she still was being nasty and rude. So my party told her don't worry we are really good friends of Ms.Crabtree. The waitress states "So". This is unacceptable behavior. Female bartenders go the extra mile to be catty to other females. I mean...I got it girls, you gotta dress extra risqué and be fully engaged with the carefree / usually drunken opposite sex to get your tips, but no need to give the stink eye and weak drinks to female customers. This is not the 1850s; we make our own money too...and despite the fact that my husband is the one handing you the card for our drinks, did you ever look at whose name is actually on the debit card? Sexist much? On another note, the male bartenders are on point. They're personable and will go the extra mile to make recommendations, if you can't make up your mind. They serve Red Bob with their Grey Goose, which is kind of a knock-off Red Bull :-( Nonetheless, we'll probably come back...but definitely not our first choice.
