Nice location. Plenty of parking. Lots of seating. Love the upgrades they made. The elderly lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our waitress was friendly but was very busy due to her having way too many tables by herself. The salad bar was way smaller than it looked on Facebook. Limited toppings. Would have liked to see pepperchinis, olives, and more cheese on the salad bar. I like pizza huts better. The wings were extra crispy and delicious, but the spicy parmesan garlic sauce was not good. Definitely want to try their peanut butter and jelly pizza.

Love the pizza! We enjoyed the Deluxe pizza as well as the Looney Toon CBR pizza! The brisket and the macaroni and cheese are also fantastic! Service has been great! If you do carry-out there's an entrance in the back for pickup.

We stopped in for lunch. I tried to keep an open mind- I really did. I was a frequent visitor to the OG Acme pre-pandemic. I loved it & hoped the new owners kept some of that. We ordered the appetizer wings with a cup of hot Buffalo sauce and a cup of garlic Parmesan. The wings were very crunchy. Like cremated. The Buffalo sauce tasted like Frank's red hot and the garlic Parmesan was literally melted butter with some parm settled on the bottom of the bowl. 3/10 I ordered the $9.50 Cobb salad. It was rather petite for nine bucks. It was romaine lettuce topped with chopped tomatoes, green onions, & hard boiled eggs. These ingredients were fine. The prob for me was the chicken breast, bacon & avocado. For a place that's bragging rights come from it's smoked & bbq'd meats, why would you choose to use purchased, Tyson-type chicken breast with the fake grill marks? Use the chicken breast off the smoker. No brained. Also the bacon is chewy bacon out of a bag. Again, fry it crispy yourself. The avocado consisted on 1.5 slivers. Meh. The chipotle ranch dressing definitely came from a bottle. All in all, just mediocre. 3/10 My boyfriend ordered the Acme burger medium with a side of fries. The burger is a thick patty with good amount of toppings. Too many onions. The burger was well done though. Nothing special here. 2/10

Best ribs in town. Anything coming off the smoker is amazing. Don't sleep on the tacos and sandwiches either.

Decent BBQ joint on North end of town…read more.. Dropped by Lucille's for the first time on Friday for a work lunch with the crew... Been meaning/wanting to try for a while, but have never got around to it. Ok experience, but there's some areas of attention needed. Pros: Friendly/quick service, outstanding brisket, excellent bbq sauces (I particularly liked the vinegar and spicy sauces), and large portions. Cons: Over-priced, average at best sides, extremely smoky in dining room, and dirty/run down restaurant. Overall our experience was good, but the smoke in the dining room was a real problem that actually had my eyes burning/watering while we were eating (it literally looked like an AARP Club Catholic Church bingo event, it was that smoky inside the restaurant), the food is stupid expensive ($35 lunch, one person), and the sides just weren't good (bland coleslaw and broccoli salad). The restaurant also needs a facelift and desperate deep clean... It had that dirty, grimy, sticky feel on the floors and tables (presumably from all the smoke in the dining room). I still consider Shigs n' Pit to be the far and wide the best BBQ in town, but Lucille's has the potential to be really good if they can make some adjustments, improvements, and clean the place up.

The wings were cooked perfectly, juicy, and packed with flavor. The seasoning had a great balance of spices, and the white sauce paired nicely without overpowering the wings. My wife ordered the two-meat plate with smoked turkey, pulled pork, apple pie baked beans, and the green chili mac and cheese. The apple pie baked beans were tasty, and the green chili mac and cheese had just enough kick to complement the BBQ. The smoked turkey was a little dry, and the pulled pork was slightly over-seasoned for our taste, but both were still enjoyable. The wings stole the show, and the sides definitely pulled their weight. A couple of small misses kept it from being a five-star meal, but the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere made up for a lot. If you're in Fort Wayne and craving BBQ, Shigs In Pit is absolutely worth adding to your list.

Mission BBQ (Coliseum Blvd) - another solid BBQ choice in Fort Wayne…read more Mission BBQ is one of the franchise BBQ choices in Fort Wayne in addition to several outstanding local places. Mission can be found on west Coliseum Blvd just west of Olive Garden. It's a little tricky to find drive to get into the large parking lot. There is lots of parking as this large store which accommodates many customers. Seating for large parties together may be difficult here. As you enter you make it to the cash register where you place and pick up your order. The menu is posted on a large board above the front counter. Mission has a large selection (see picture) of different meats and sides. Most items are ala carte unless you get a combo meal. I would suggest that their prices are comparable to those at other local BBQ places. Every entree comes with freshly baked corn bread. The decent size piece is moist and has a slightly sweet flavor. The luke warm bread is more cake like than a traditional corn meal taste. A pat of pre-packaged butter is also provided. This makes a nice complement to the coming meat. Mission provides six different BBQ sauces at the table (see pictures). They also provide vinegar and a more mustard based sauce. I tried three of these sauces. All had a nice flavor for you to consider. Here is a brief description of the different food items we had: -Smoked Chicken: very moist and tender, so tender that the meat literally fell off the bones; skin was nicely coated with a mild BBQ rub - only a slight amount of salt & spicy aftertaste; nice mild Smokey flavoring -Smoked Turkey: also very moist and tender; slight Smokey flavors -French Fries: nice thinly cut fry; coated with a heavy-salty BBQ rub; nicely crispy without being oily; definite bold BBQ rub flavoring -Baked Beans: much like you would expect, moderate sized bean bathed in a smooth BBQ sauce; BBQ sauce is slightly sweet with a mild BBQ taste - no after spice kick; small pieces of brisket added for extra enjoyment; very good side! -Cole Slaw: lite mayo base; two different cabbages plus carrot pieces; sesame seeds added to give it a nice mild-mayo taste Overall...Mission does a nice job of providing freshly made BBQ. The team was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and spacious. This is a challenge for a self seating area that has lots of customers. Here, you felt like you could relax, take your time and pace yourself.

Visiting places where I don't live, I always Yelp for reviews…read more I found this little carryout on the site and was really close, so I stopped by before hopping on the highway. There is no seating. Again, it's a teenie carryout with a drive-up window (not an actual drive-thru). I met the proprietor and his grandson. Both gentlemen were kind and friendly. I explained that I lived in another state and inquired about the menu. I learned that only a limited menu was available, and was offered to try both the turkey tips and the pork rib tips. They were good, but neither were smoked. I like smoked meats on the grill, and these seemed to be marinated in Italian dressing and baked. The meat didn't have a char taste. I decided on the pork with greens and potato salad. Again these items weren't as I am familiar with, as they didn't taste homemade with a depth of flavor. The meal was served with white bread. I would recommend folks giving Mr. Dunbar's cooking a try.

And I had the fish and chicken combo, I had perch as my choice of fish. It was my first time trying perch and I don't know if I liked it too much but I feel like it might've been over fried for my liking, it came with hot sauce which helped. It's worth giving a try for some Indiana BBQ, i'd be willing to come back and try some thing else!
