Went there on a fairly non-busy night. Was immediately told "Sit anywhere on the deck". I said "can I sit in the dining area?" "No, it's closed". It was 7:30 pm.. they close at 9. This is a good example of why Yelp needs half stars. I wouldn't quite say this place gets 4 stars, but 3 seems low. Went for lunch and they were pretty busy. Great outdoor seating on the wrap-around porch, several televisions within viewing distance, friendly service, several good draft beer options. We ordered the grinder sub, pulled pork nachos, and the brisket chili dog. The grinder was very good, the nachos were fine, and the brisket chili dog was sort of forgettable. The fries were very good. Will return to try some other menu options. read more

Great food & pleasant atmosphere. I've gotten the Big Mac pizza twice & loved it both times.

Four stars because our appetizer of fried green beans came out after our pizza had been delivered. They were out of 10" dough for the all meat pizza. They were out of pulled pork and brisket for the pizzas as well. Now, the good stuff.. A cute little spot to grab a beer and some 'za. Nothing fancy, but hit the spot when we wanted to try something new. Bee alert. We went at the end of September and they lots of yellow jacket bees. They even had a designated bee killer. One landed in my beer. Food was good but bees were not. They claim the bees are seasonal but they had all the windows and garage doors open. Not sure why they wouldn't just close all the windows and doors to keep the bees out. read more

I k ow this cause sent a text right after getting our order taken .... Pizza is in their name, then BBQ. Brisket was really fatty, so made it scary each bite, nothing I hate more is spitting food into my paper towel. Sauces aren't very spicy and not the best. Went on a whim for someplace different. Good atmosphere, but service needs improvement. Drinks came out incorrect and the orders came out with items we asked to be not included. (No tomatoes for example). Asked for a refill of soda at 8:45, but they had already cleaned the machine. At 8:55 sharp they started closing the shades on the patio and pretty much wanted us out of there. Salads were pretty good, but they could have been more welcoming and attentive. read more

My wife and I thought we would stop by and try this place out as we have never been. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming staff in the open, casual dining atmosphere. You had a choice of sitting either in the restaurant or on the wraparound patio. We chose the patio as it was a nice evening. The menu was quite adequate and the food was wonderful. I ordered the brisket and found it to be very flavorful with just the right amount of fat to meat to make it very tasty. Our waitress was a young woman with a marvelous attitude. She was very customer centered and it showed. We were very pleased with the service and the food and intend on returning. Arrived with a party of 7 to support a local restaurant and couldn't be more disappointed. The hostess may have a thing or two to learn with common courtesy and communication. After waiting for 30+ minutes and having menus brought to us while waiting on the sidewalk we decided we would order a few drinks while waiting (Not sure why we decided to stay after watching the hostess talk poorly about us to the other staff while she was talking to the reserving party member). We went to order drinks and was told we weren't going to be served AT ALL and should consider the top floor of the VI. Considerate communication goes a long way and maybe a little hostess training too. Small town options are limited...probably should figure out how to step up service so locals don't skip the hometown options and head straight to Fort Wayne. read more

I can't wait to go back. The menu is very basic but the pizza was delicious. We ordered the Meat Me on the Patio pizza and Full Deck and both were delicious. The cheese was melted over top of everything so it didn't dry out the ingredients. Haven't had the barbecue but I will be back to try it and more pizza. read more

The Pizza is good. The patio itself is Awesome. Great place to drink a beer (in my opinion). The service is just ok (they're new). The BBQ was not good. The brisket and pulled pork was mushy. The BBQ sauce was decent though. We'll give it a second try down the road after they've had time to adapt and get better. If speaking with a friend, I would tell them to give it a shot but stick with the pizza. read more

Just had an amazing experience at The Patio. Very friendly and accommodating service and some of the best pizza in the industry. You have to try the BBQ Pit and Full Deck. The onion rings on the BBQ pit really set it off. The BBQ pork had tons of flavor but didn't over power the dish. The banana peppers on the Full Deck were not too spicy or overpowering. The last two times I ordered takeout from The Patio they lost my order. The first time, after paying, I stood and waited for 30 minutes and was told they lost my order and I had to wait another 15 for a new one. Then after waiting a few months to give them another chance, it happened AGAIN. I arrived five minutes after they said it would be ready, and it was obvious that it happened again. They asked me what size, crust, and toppings it was so they could "check on it" and I told them that if they lost my order again then don't worry about it because I would just leave. They assured me that it was in the oven as they were clearly rushing a new pizza right in front of me. Visited for lunch. Great lunch menu; variety at a reasonable price. My $5 chicken slider tasted great, also included green beans which were deliciously seasoned with bacon and onion. Waitresses were new but friendly. I like the decor and look of the building. Most seating is on the patio (probably no surprise there!). My friend's brisket sandwich looked delicious and filling too. We ordered BBQ smoked wings, brisket sandwich, and the JJ's sub. Wings were OK, little mushy inside, a bit overcooked, and drizzled with cold BBQ sauce. Brisket sandwich OK but not served with any BBQ sauce. JJ's sub is small cubed ham like you'd see in a breakfast omelette, raw peppers, and a tremendous amount of cheese. Waste of time and money! Ordered the Patio Mac which is mac & cheese, choice of meat, onion straws and garlic bread. I wish I had known that this was going to be piled together in a small dish for $11 (minus the garlic bread). Another person at my table ordered the same thing at the same time. My plate came out with cold onion straws. Actually the whole top of the plate was cold. (The other person's plate was hot.) Our waitress was indifferent when she was informed my dish was cold. She did ask if I wanted her to "fix it". I told her no. Once I got past the top layer of cold onion straws, the pulled pork inside was warm (what little meat there was). A manager or some fella in charge came out and asked if everything was ok; said he heard my plate was cold. I let him know that I had found the warm part. He seemed sincere and apologetic. I later asked our waitress where the garlic bread was. She said "oh sometimes they don't put it out" and then "do you want me to get some?". SERIOUSLY!?!? It's part of my meal. Small portion, crappy, rude waitress, hardly any seating, the facility is all open, so you get eaten by bugs. DON'T DO IT!! Save your money and go to McDonald's or anywhere else. read more

The Mac and cheese was a premium side, 3.50 for maybe half a cup in a little bowl and it was soggy and flavorless, like it had been soaking in a milk bath all day...
