I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was very busy, but a little bit frustrating that they were out of both the nachos & Philly cheesesteak. I'm guessing they may have been understaffed as well because our server was very inattentive. The chicken avocado sub was delicious though! But Our brisket chili dogs were extremely overcooked and dry.

This is a good example of why Yelp needs half stars. I wouldn't quite say this place gets 4 stars, but 3 seems low. Went for lunch and they were pretty busy. Great outdoor seating on the wrap-around porch, several televisions within viewing distance, friendly service, several good draft beer options. We ordered the grinder sub, pulled pork nachos, and the brisket chili dog. The grinder was very good, the nachos were fine, and the brisket chili dog was sort of forgettable. The fries were very good. Will return to try some other menu options.

    All meats..tasty!

Four stars because our appetizer of fried green beans came out after our pizza had been delivered. They were out of 10" dough for the all meat pizza. They were out of pulled pork and brisket for the pizzas as well. Now, the good stuff.. A cute little spot to grab a beer and some 'za. Nothing fancy, but hit the spot when we wanted to try something new. If you live in Fort Wayne and looming for some good food in an open air experience, jump in the car and head to Roanoke!

Brisket sandwiches are a bit fatty.

If stars were for being a fun clean heated porch spot on the corner, this spot would be spot on. I saw lots of pizzas go out the door to go, so next visit pizza it is. Pizza is in their name, then BBQ. Brisket was really fatty, so made it scary each bite, nothing I hate more is spitting food into my paper towel. Sauces aren't very spicy and not the best. No vinegar or mustard sauces found here. You can bring the dog and enjoy a beer on the adorable porch! Worthy of a revisit.

This place rocks. I had the brisket pizza. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. And then my dessert was someone of a surprise. My waitress said just to trust her....oh my. Good stuff, you won't be disappointed !!

Meat Me at the Patio pizza and The Full Deck pizza. Super delicious

Excellent outer layer and very tender. Also had ribs on the platter. They were dynamite. Sides were beans and slaw. The sides are huge. This place is excellent and I'd highly recommend.

Decent BBQ joint on North end of town…read more.. Dropped by Lucille's for the first time on Friday for a work lunch with the crew... Been meaning/wanting to try for a while, but have never got around to it. Ok experience, but there's some areas of attention needed. Pros: Friendly/quick service, outstanding brisket, excellent bbq sauces (I particularly liked the vinegar and spicy sauces), and large portions. Cons: Over-priced, average at best sides, extremely smoky in dining room, and dirty/run down restaurant. Overall our experience was good, but the smoke in the dining room was a real problem that actually had my eyes burning/watering while we were eating (it literally looked like an AARP Club Catholic Church bingo event, it was that smoky inside the restaurant), the food is stupid expensive ($35 lunch, one person), and the sides just weren't good (bland coleslaw and broccoli salad). The restaurant also needs a facelift and desperate deep clean... It had that dirty, grimy, sticky feel on the floors and tables (presumably from all the smoke in the dining room). I still consider Shigs n' Pit to be the far and wide the best BBQ in town, but Lucille's has the potential to be really good if they can make some adjustments, improvements, and clean the place up.

Everything here is made from scratch, from the smoky, tender meats to the rich, satisfying sides--and you can taste the difference. Their unique smoking process brings out deep, layered flavors that set them apart from your average BBQ joint. The Big Hungry sandwich lives up to its name, combining brisket, cheese, mayo, pulled pork, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce into one unforgettable bite. It's a messy, meaty masterpiece that showcases the best of what they do. Sides like the creamy Mac N Cheese, hearty Bacon Baked Beans, and the indulgent Loaded Baked Potato Salad are clearly made with the same attention to detail and scratch-made care. From the creative combos to the quality ingredients and unmistakable smokehouse flavor, Big Hungry BBQ is a standout. Whether you're going for a Mac N Cheese Boat or a full 3 Meat Platter, you're guaranteed a meal that's both comforting and crave-worthy. Also, this little family business is very affordable considering bbq and catering prices these days. They are such a sweet family. We can't wait eat again!

I am shocked that a small Midwest town in Indiana near the Ohio border had such phenomenal BBQ!…read more I have made 2 visits and both of them have been exceptional! My first visit, I chose the Barnyard Burner Burger special. It came with pulled pork, spicy BBQ sauce, and cheese. But what was amazing about the burger was how soft, fresh, and smoky the hamburger meat was! I hadn't had a burger like this in years! I even liked it more than the BBQ, which if you follow my Yelp...that is very high praise! This week, I had the pulled pork and brisket with potato salad and beans. All phenomenal! The pulled pork is perfectly tender and smoky! I liked the pork more than the brisket but the brisket is 4 stars on its own. The potato salad has a lightly sweet mustard base to it with some eggs and relish mixed in. I enjoyed the beans more than the potato salad as the beans were in some kind of sweet and smoky conglomeration made in the back with brown sugar as a key ingredient. There are 4 sauces and I usually try to rank sauces, but I couldn't do it with these. They are all worthy on their own merit. The four sauces and a brief description are: Classic - mildly sweet tomato with a little pepper Sweet and Smoky - very sweet with a smoky taste and ketchup base Tangy - part vinegar, part tomato, all tangy Sue Tang - spicy mild to medium BBQ sauce, tomato base The one downside and it's common being a Southerner in the Mid-West is there is usually no sweet tea and if there is, it isn't sweet enough. They told me their tea maker was broke but there is a Kroger that has Milo's Sweet Tea that I have been allowed to carry in both times. Make a trip to Bluffton for Yergy's BBQ or Burgers. They are only open Thursday-Sunday.
