The restaurant is tucked away in the Aquarius Condo building, and not obvious to the public unless you live in the building. Friendly service and pleasant outdoor seating. We enjoyed our evening despite the inedible food. We started off with high hopes when we were served warm, crusty bread. We came at 11 am and were the only patrons in the restaurant. A couple of ladies were setting up for a baby shower in the dining room which made it a little weird but we stuck it out. We ordered the chicken parm and fettuccine Alfredo and I must say there was nothing to write home about. I had to put salt and pepper on my pasta 4 times to get any flavor at all. The sauce for the parm was bland as well. Our lunch with 2 glasses of wine was $73 which seemed pricey for the lack of quality. Our server was good. He was attentive. Service was amazing. I was traveling with 3 toddlers. They put their order in and had the kids eating right away. For anyone with kids can understand how important this is. Discovered this place Friday night while looking for good Italian food in East Hollywood (slim pickings for that here). Had never been to Acqua Bistro or even heard of it, but the reviews were great so I figured I'd give it a shot. Acqua Bistro is located inside a condo south of the Hollywood Broadwalk, on the pool level. A family run business (we met several family members who were tending to our table), apparently the owner moved into this building after retiring (having owned other successful places) and then decided to open this place in the building. The indoor seating is small but lovely. Tastefully decorated, a beautiful little bistro. 2 walls are full windows with a nice open view outside. You can also sit outside under an overhang on the pool deck. That looked pretty nice as well but we sat inside. Service was attentive but not intrusive (of note, one of the helpers is a little quirky and different--I'm hoping guests are understanding of his differences and are patient with him). No complaints about the service-We were never wanting for anything. With only one exception, the food was absolutely incredible. The bread was fresh and warm, crispy outside and soft inside, and so good with salted butter. We shared the meatball appetizer: 2 good-sized meatballs, fresh ricotta on the side and a delicious marinara that apparently is the owner's signature sauce (or one of them). Perfect. All entrées come with soup or salad-when does that happen at a nice place anymore? The Caesars were perfectly sized and freaking delicious. Big Caesar salad fans over here and we were pleased. Entrees: fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp (divine), veal Saltimbocca (even more divine), and clams posillipo. This last item was the only disappointment of the night. The clams were tasty and fresh but the entire dish was simply too salty. Disappointing. We drank an underpriced bottle of wine that was great--they didn't double/triple the retail price of it-I almost wonder if this was a mistake, actually. Shared a tiramisu that was fabulous. Dinner for 3 about $150 pre-tip, a bargain considering it included 3 entrees, 1 app, 2 salads and a soup, a dessert and a bottle of wine in an elegant venue with great service. Despite the salty clam dish, the place earns a full 5 stars from me. Can't wait to return. read more

OK this place was FANTASTIC! I cannot rave about them more. It was literally 10/10 on everything. The vibes were great and the place was popping amongst many Italian customers, so you knew it was going to be good. We got a glass of Malbec to start and the bread that they gave was amazinggg. It was fresh out of the oven and perfectly crispy on the outside/a pillow on the inside. All of their entrees come with either a soup or salad, so we got to try the Ceasar Salad and Minestrone soup. Both were good, but not the highlight of the night. My friend and I shared the Shrimp Scampi and the Eggplant Parmigiana. Both of them were delicious! The shrimp was super fresh and cut in a beautiful way. The noodles were the perfect texture and flavor. The eggplant had great flavor and the perfect balance of sauce/cheese. For dessert, we got their Cheesecake (different from a typical American cheesecake) and Tiramisu. The cheesecake was like a light and fluffy cake that wasn't too sweet and the tiramisu was perfect. Overall, such a great experience here and one of the highlights of my trip!! read more

The spot is definitely not what I expected but it's doable. As I left one of my other reviews, the facial expressions and body language of the waitress we had were horrible. We were unaware this place was inside of the hotel so that had a lot to do with it. There was not much on the menu so we just dealt with what there was but with her not understanding us, she should've change the way she approached us about what we meant. I was given a generous portion of a taste wine so that was the good. it's on the pool deck, which you have to leave your glass drinks if you want to walk over to see the view. I would've left her a Better tip as I usually do but her attitude the whole time just sucked. ‍ read more

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. My family tried the pappardelle bolognese, the fettuccine alfredo and the lobster ravioli. All were great choices, but the lobster ravioli was the clear winner. It had a delicate flavor with a hint of brandy. Service was good. The staff was attentive. The Caesar salad tasted amazing. Unfortunately when my Turkey club came they forgot to skip the Mayo. Our waiter apologized that he forgot and said he would fix it. He returned with the same sandwich after the rest of my group had finished eating. They had poorly attempting to whip off the Mayo and haphazardly reassembling the same sandwich. This place is a hidden gem. It is tucked back in a condo complex, and they have a large sign out front, but the entrance was hard to find as a walker since it's hidden up a steep driveway. To be clear--the Lobster Ravioli was five stars! The calamari and shrimp was good. Although, I didn't care for the fried oysters. However, their cocktail sauce is next level good! Here's my gripe: I found this place on Google while vacationing in the area. After seeing such wonderful reviews...I was excited to try it out! I arrived before 5:00 hoping to grab a meal and a bottle of wine. No luck--I was stopped immediately and asked if I had a reservation. My reply was no but I was not aware that reservations are required as there is no website. Her response was that I should have called. The food was great but the customer service is lacking horribly! The more I watched--it almost seemed like a private dining club. If that's the case--perhaps they should take ownership on platforms such as this. I just don't think that this place is well managed. They were ill equipped for order that I had to get as takeout. They asked that I sit outside in the lobby while I waited on the food. However, there were several empty tables inside and outside. They had no salt/pepper packets and no forks. I was given a spoon and a knife for ravioli, a seafood platter and a salad. WTH?!. ---it was just unreal that a restaurant at this price point would be so poorly run. I wouldn't be able to return here--I don't care how good the food is. read more

After reading so many positive reviews we gave this small family run restaurant a try. We arrived 8:45 pm on March 14 and got excellent motherly service. The fettuccine Alfredo tasted like the noodles were hand made that day. The sauce was rich and the chicken I added was cooked perfectly. It was good enough we are going back again tonight March 16th. My wife is getting the Alfredo and I may try something different. Highly recommended. Even though we were there until a few minutes past closing we were never pressured to hurry and leave. read more

This restaurant is a bit hidden from Ocean Drive, but it's worth looking for. The previous evening we ate at our hotel's casual restaurant and our food took forever and was cold and boring. At Acqua Bistro, for a similar total price, we had a delicious meal of shrimp scampi, thick-cut pork chop, with sides and dessert. It's was so much better! The staff is kind and very accommodating. Overall super impressed with this restaurant! It is family owned and definitely feels like it. The atmosphere is beautiful (in a great building and right on the beach). The bread they give you is delicious! Flaky/crunchy on the outside and soft and warm in the inside. I started with their Cesar salad (I'm super particular about Cesar salads) and it was delicious!! Generous portion and fresh ingredients. I then had the lobster ravioli... quite possibly the BEST I've ever heard. The raviolis are stuffed with lobster I mean STUFFED and the pink brandy sauce that goes on top was perfect. The service was great too. Definitely go if you haven't! read more

Best AUTHENTIC Italian you will find in Hollywood or surrounding area. The red sauce is so cooked down that it's brown but still with a bold sweet tomato flavor. The ricotta is house made and so fresh. The fish and shell fish are same day sea fresh and the pastas are hand / house made when ordered. The staff from the owner to the servers are all super.
