I was not emotionally or financially prepared to have to make final arrangements for my mom. I had no help at all from my family and had to handle things all by myself. After researching online, it seemed that aCremation was what I could afford, but I was worried about hidden costs. I decided to email them for a price quote and I received it immediately. It was clearly worded and left the next steps up to me, which I especially appreciated because I felt absolutely no pressure. I actually was able to handle things much better emotionally because of the buffer of online communication. It was easier for me to sign authorization and release forms rather than discuss with someone, although that option was available if I had wanted to. I received a email with all the information I needed, answers to all my anticipated questions. Thoughtfully, they included small cards with aCremation's phone number to keep in my wallet so I could notify them when they were needed. Once I gave the release forms and one of the wallet cards to the hospice, I felt a weight come off me. I was so relieved that I had everything in place. With that all taken care of, I was able to just focus on loving and caring for my mom in her last few days. When that final day came, I was prepared as best as I could be but I still was devastated. The hospice staff took over everything and I was free to go home and grieve. They contacted aCremation for me. I got an email approximately eight hours later to ask me to proof the information for the documents and make any corrections. Turned out that I did have one name spelling mistake and the correction was taken care of with no fuss. E-signatures were simple and convenient for the final approvals. I received two more emails from aCremation in subsequent weeks: one when the cremation actually was completed, and the other when the death certificates were ready. I was given the option to pick up one or both at the same time if I chose. I was not rushed at all to pick up anything, and the wording of the emails was very compassionate and understanding. At no point did anyone from aCremation call me and intrude on my grief, which I very much appreciate. When I arrived at their office to pick up my mom's remains a few weeks later, I was not prepared to be so overwhelmed with emotion and was surprised that I started to cry. The receptionist was so kind and gently handed me a tissue. When she gave me the remains, which were in a heavy cardboard box, she asked if I needed anything else or had any questions. I asked what seemed like a foolish question, how were the remains packaged inside? I had purchased a vase with a lid but I wasn't sure how the contents were packaged. I asked if it was difficult to open the box and how should I put the ashes inside my vase? The young lady compassionately asked if she could take care of that for me. I gratefully accepted. She took my mom's ashes and the vase into their back office to transfer them. She brought them both back to me all taken care of, in such a tender and respectful way. I can't express enough how much I appreciated the professionalism from the aCremation staff during every part of this experience. I definitely recommend them. It is so hard to go through the death of a loved one, and I genuinely am grateful for how easy it was to contact aCremation and make arrangements for my mom without feeling pressured or pursued at one of the most vulnerable times of my life. read more

It is 2:30 am. My father passed away at 10:30. I spoke with this company at 11:10 and paid in full over the phone. We are 20 minutes away at T-boone Pickens Hospice. They said they would arrive within an hour. I have called 3 times, each time being assured they would call back with an eta. Nothing. Two years tomorrow to the day my father died. We paid for extra death certificates and my mom wanted photos of my fathers tattoos all which we expected to receive when we picked up his ashes. They were unprofessional and this was very upsetting for my mother who had already lost so much. They were phenomenal up until we paid that is. Do not recommend! read more

This is my second time within two years using aCremation. Both times they have been kind and patient while I collected the information and made arrangements. aCremations cared for both my brothers, the last of whom lived in Weatherford Tx. Because this area has no functioning ME office to receive the dead, I was forced to quickly choose a mortuary in town-one that had, as it turns out, a crematory. A no frills, no casket cremation is $2100! When I declined their services they charged me $275 to remove my brothers body and drive two miles down the road. Of course aCremations has a very affordable charge. Plus to retrieve my brother seventy one miles a way was only $40. FORTY DOLLARS FOR SEVENTY ONE MILES AS OPPOSED TO $275 FOR A TWO MILE TRIP! In a very difficult season when my dad became ill, we were not expecting to have to use aCremation so soon. We had researched quite a bit and came across this company on Yelp. All recommends were great, and after speaking with Judy on a couple of occasions, we decided this would be a good plan to have in place for the future. Sadly, we lost my dad a couple of months ago and in the midst of the shock of it all, we called aCremation. They were kind, professional, and very helpful. They took care of everything and sent a team out to my dad's hospital. The team that arrived was very comforting to my family, especially my mother, which was a blessing. They were extremely professional, timely, and the process of receiving my Dad's remains and death certificate was all taken care of exactly as they said in the time they stated. Although we were not ready to use them, this team was there when we needed them and we highly recommend this company if you're looking for a viable option for your loved one's passing at an affordable, fair price. So sent the documents to a family member. Would not accept answers. Had to call back. Send us her photo ID. Can't no internet, smartphone, computer!! Absolute idiots!! Then the lady says "well, I see you are just down the street from us, why don't you come in and sign here" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? A full week of heartburn and then they decide to be helpful. This morning my partners mother passed away. We set up arrangements with acremation months ago because she was on hospice. We called to have someone pick her up from our home (where she departed) and they told us they have no one working today so we would need to find a facility to hold her for a couple of days!!!! This place should not be in business!! People pass away 365 days a year! If your not prepared for that as a funeral facility then maybe it's time to close your doors! read more

We lost a family member, and based on the Yelp reviews, I requested an electronic quote from aCremation. So far so good. Then I called today. Vanessa answered right away, but we were disconnected. Maybe a red flag. I called right back, waited much longer to talk to someone (red flag), and when she took my info she said Vanessa would call me back. I asked when, and she said she didn't know. This was the most awful experience with a cremation "service" I could imagine. There was NO service here. My grandparents set up plans with this company several months ago. Today (Saturday), the hospice nurse and my grandmother were told this company would be unable to pick up my grandfather until MONDAY. When asked why, the first excuse to come out was the winter storm experienced this past week - but that is not a valid excuse given the roads have been cleared. Only THEN did they proceed to say their storage was full. When asked what we should do, they told us we should try contacting a different funeral home but refused to recommend any or contact any themselves to check around. The best they could do is "sorry". There is no excuse for their lack of accommodation in this situation. We promptly removed my grandmother from their registration as we will not be using this company in the future. We will be actively recommending our friends and family avoid this company due to such poor integrity. read more

The staff at this company are exceptional, with a special shout out to Judy. Equal parts cremation service, grief counselor, and social worker. My sister's death was unexpected, and we live out of state. We are forever grateful that the staff was patient with and responsive to us, and helped us to get the remains in time to bring them to the funeral outside the U.S. We also appreciated that no one ever attempted to leverage our grief to up sell us on an expensive add-on. They were the cheapest cremation service in the DFW area, so I picked them. They were a great choice; kind, compassionate, made sure that we were comfortable with them taking the body, and took the time to make sure we understood exactly what cremation looked like, and how the body would be properly cared for. If you want a funeral home funeral, these people are not the ones for you. But since we wanted just a memorial service, and to spread the ashes later when we could, they were the absolute right fit. I just have to encourage other families that need this service for your loved one. I had to make this decision for my mom unexpectedly Judy was a Godsend she was my very compassionate. Everyone i spoke with were so helpful. They are professional and they did amazing service. I was not sure wht i needed to do but when i called them i was encouraged and they took the uneasiness i was feeling and did all the work. I had never selected a cremation provider and was worried that using the lowest-cost provider might be inviting trouble. They could not have been any better! We had a basic cremation, no urn, no extras, and everything went smoothly, quickly and without surprises. Each step of the way, the office sent me an email to let me know what was happening and what the next step would be, even when there was no need for input from me.
