I have not dealt with many funeral homes but out of the 3 I have this one was by far the WORSE!…read moreThey were unorganized. The director was MEAN, RUDE and completely NON- EMPATHETIC! Every chance he got he wanted to argue with us about ANYTHING! To the point that even the lady that works with him had to tell him you did say that. I it upset him he couldn't charge us for that he decided to give me an extra transport charge that he NEVER not once mentioned until he couldn't charge was the other fee. In the end charging me 800 dollars in transportation fees. In between this and everything to follow I had to wait till after noon to do any business with them because the director don't answer the phones he just be mean to people in the background and the lady running things works at a daycare in the mornings. Then, we waited 2 weeks for the death certificate and it was a straight forward natural death. Come to find out( I heard the conversation with vital records) they hadn't requested the death certificates. Holding up the process with insurance, the cemetery and the other funeral home. I had been calling every other day asking for it. Finally we decided she would pay the fee to expedite getting the certificates (we paid for 5) and pay to overnight them to me since they were not in with my father when he was shipped. She was supposed to fax me a copy before she sent them off. Hours after they were picked up I got 3 cut off pictures of the death certificate and a picture of shipped partial letter that was arriving with my certificates 3days later. Obviously the other funeral home had to call her and get her to fax the copy of the certificate instead of the 3 cut off pictures. When the other director said you know we can't accept pictures in text she laughed and said yeah you're right. At this point we all were tired of dealing with them. It was a very horrible experience at one of the worse times in my life. I would NOT recommend this funeral home to anyone. Especially if you're looking for someone on their game with an empathetic heart. The director mean and appears to be very old. The lady running things is nice but appears to not know what is going on and ALL over the place. Not a good experience at all!!!!

Not only did Gerardo, get out of his vehicle to help us, he also dug up and washed the vase for us to put flowers at my grandparents grave. To do this, Gerardo had to walk to a water source that was farther away from the site because the water pipe near us was not working. He then brought over the clean vase and went to his truck to retrieve a brush so that he could clean the site. This was extremely helpful because we are from out of town and would have been disappointed if we were not able to see our grandparents. Thanks to Gerardo who came in a saved the day. Thank you Gerardo for your wonder service, your terrific smile and your beautiful spirit. It was truly appreciated. Regards, Shanda Arredondo and Karen Bannerman. Peace and love.

Most families facing the loss of a loved one turn to a funeral home for guidance, compassion, and…read moresupport during one of the most difficult times in their lives. If you find yourself in that position, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere rather than entrusting your family to Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home. I am the sibling of a loved one who passed away on June 4, 2026, and our family's experience was deeply disappointing. With the exception of the front desk receptionist and a few members of the Saturday staff, we encountered a lack of professionalism, attention to detail, and compassion throughout the process. Our family worked closely with the cemetery to coordinate final arrangements, yet from the beginning, Evergreen provided inaccurate information. Basic details, including birth and death dates, were transmitted with errors. The online obituary posted by Evergreen also contained numerous mistakes that contradicted the obituary we paid for and distributed at the funeral service. These errors included our loved one's affectionate family name, parentage, and even an incorrect date of death, listing June 2020 instead of June 2026. Such significant inaccuracies demonstrate a troubling lack of quality control and respect for the families they serve. In addition, a standing floral spray purchased through Evergreen's in-house flower shop three to four days before the viewing arrived late and did not meet the expectations of the order placed. Perhaps most disheartening was the demeanor of the funeral director's staff. Family members and friends were often spoken to as though they were an inconvenience, with little empathy, patience, or compassion shown during an already painful time. Losing a loved one is difficult enough without having to worry about preventable mistakes and poor customer service. I share our experience in the hope that other families will make an informed decision when choosing a funeral home. I would not recommend Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home for the care and support that grieving families deserve.

After working with Evergreen, and getting so much help from Vernon Smith, she was SO relieved with the arrangements and it was good to hear tranquility in her voice again. I highly recommend sending your loved ones here to help you honor their lives.
