The clam strips were really good. I ended up going back a second time this vacation. The service when busy is awful and disorganized. 10 different young adults all running around aimlessly. Still wasn't a bad experience but your waiting extremely long for just about everything from water to napkins. The prices were fair and the location is situated looking over the water. The insides a bit out dated but does have old cape charm. My first visit the place was essentially dead and the two girls working were absolutely fantastic. The Sandbar was our favorite stop while on vacation in Dennis. The staff were friendly and recommended we grab a beer inside during our short wait for a spot outside. We got quick service at the bar despite it being a full house, and our wait was much quicker than expected. We got the spicy Hawaiian pizza with GF crust and me and my husband agreed that it was one of the better gluten-free pizzas we've had. We arrived around 6:45 on Friday night, waited about 30 minutes. Grabbed a couple of drinks at the bar and enjoyed them outside! Atmosphere was great! Food was solid. We ordered 1) the buffalo chicken fried sandwich with ranch, and it came with fries, and 2) Caesar salad with Carolina gold boneless wings. Overall decent, the Caesar salad was very good. Great food, great atmosphere but disappointed in the service, mainly by the manager. Waitresses were pleasant. But policies for guests should be consistent! Very disappointing experience. I heard this restaurant was dog friendly. We went for dinner/drinks and noted there was a dog there. The following night, we went and brought our golden retriever and we're turned down as soon as we got there. The manager who we spoke to said they had not allowed dogs due to an incident several months back. When I asked why they allowed dogs the day prior, no one could give me an answer and said "rules are rules." We had to leave our golden retriever in our running car because it was 80 degrees. Meanwhile, another guest had brought in her dog and snuck it under her table. That waitress had clearly seen the dog. It started at the valet parking. There was no visible sign saying valet parking when you entered directly in front of you, the sign was all the way to the left side and anyone entering would have difficulty seeing it unless they were approached by a valet attendant that was attentive, , so we proceeded to pull into the parking lot to park when the valet attendant was sitting in a car next to us and said we need to leave the keys in the car. It was valet parking only was. He told me to leave my key in the car which I proceeded to do. My wife and I went into the restaurant to be seated and sat there for about 10 minutes but my wife had a strange feeling about our car being unattended. We went outside and found both valet attendants sitting on the tailgate of a pickup truck doing nothing. I went to my car and found it still running with the doors unlocked as if they didn't want to bother with me. I proceeded to get in my car and leave. Anyone could have entered my car and drove away with it. I feel the valet is very negligent and arrogant as well. I will never come back to this place again. We ate outside so I can't comment about the cleanliness of the establishment. The outside area is cute with picnic tables and umbrellas. Very nice few with a great feel of old Cape Cod! The drinks were fine, not bad and not spectacular, but they were good. My chicken sandwich was a little over done, but not too bad. My friend loved her fish tacos! We also ordered a lobster salad. Far too expensive for what you got! You can go other places and get a lot more as they say, "bang for your buck." Good location bad service The view is nice however the teens running the place are inattentive to the guest. We waited a very long time for our food, never received/asked for refills on our drinks. Fountain drinks tasted odd and the food was meh for the prices. We didn't get utensils to eat with when our food arrived and when we did they were community forks that everyone prior to us touched. Lastly, the servers were unfriendly and socialized among themselves. Hopefully you have a better experience if you choose to come here. read more

Well, it's near the water. I think most restaurants by the water believe they can get away with crappy food and overpriced drinks... this is one of them. Giving this place a 3 for the food and the view. The view from the outside dining area it was very pretty. As other reviewer's said, the place is quite filthy Especially outdoors as you enter the restaurant. Just outside the entryway of this marsh side restaurant were hundreds of cigarette butts and at least six empty drink cups just laying in the gardens and sitting on the lawn. The wait staff was very friendly and the food was really pretty good. I had a veggie burger which was pretty average except that it was served with a nice pepper and onion topping which added a lot of step two and otherwise don't veggie burger. Coleslaw was quite good.
