We have found OUR mechanics!!! Professional, thorough, courteous & comfortable waiting area We called ahead and Carlton gave me an estimate, advised us to just walk-in for a smog check and verified that the $50 credit for $25 would be the best Yelp deal for me (the check-in is for work over $200). When we pulled up, the repair staff was professional and directed us to the front. Carlton helped us at the desk, quoted us an hour wait but said he would let the techs know we were waiting there. My young child was with me and was excited to see Action Auto's play table and kid sized chairs in the waiting area. Carlton even gave my child a new, un-opened foam toy they had leftover from something. I think my smog check was finished in 20 or 30 minutes. I didn't really notice because the waiting area was comfortable and my child had things to play with. Carlton let us know they "do everything," so we will be back for work whenever we need it. I called and (not sure who I spoke to) was extremely helpful, friendly and let me know there was a discount coupon I could use if I decided to come in. When I did, I was greeted by Carlton he told me there was a 2hr wait because it was a busy day. He then assured me that he would do his best to get me out on half the time. So I decided to stay. I was there this morning for a smog check. It was walk in only and I was afraid that I'd have to wait a while. Lucky for me, I was seen right away. The gentlemen at the front desk were cool people. The gave me an estimate time for completion of smog check, they completed the job quicker. Awesome! During the short time I waited, I helped myself to a cappuccino. They also had a cute popcorn machine in the waiting area where customers could help themselves. Thats nice of them to offer that for their clients. Been a customer with these guys for several years now, and they've proven to be an honest bunch. They kept my old beaters running without bleeding me dry of cash like other shops have in the past, and now that I have a quality vehicle they've been taking good care of that too. Brett and Steve always let me know if the quoted price turned out to be cheaper. They let me know what needs to be fixed on my cars (with my beaters that would be a lengthy list lol) but they'd also let me know what the priorities were and give me all the info and let me decide how much I want to invest in keeping a car running. He was talking crap that adjusting coils are pita and charged me 140 compared to legit shops near anaheim area which do it for 80. I said okay since they were going to do alignment the same day. You know what? Screw you guys. I didnt pay 290 for you guys to over tighten my freaking springs so that it damages my coilovers and overpressure my shocks. Also you guys told me my popping noise is from my car being lowered and sway bar amd endlinks havin nowhere to go. Thats where i smelled your BS and never went back. You cant do a simple alignment and adjustment, when other shops charge cheaper and is not rude to customers. Ill let all my community know, and trust me I know more people than you think. You guys underestimated my knowledge and if you guys arent aware of any of the things i am telling you , you guys really need to fire that stupid employee who worked on my car. From the moment I called and spoke with Carlton, I felt so comfortable with the entire process. We had very little money and we were quoted lower prices elsewhere, but we chose this place because of the integrity and kindness from start to finish. We figured a few extra dollars was worth it and it definitely was. I had other mechanics treat me with little respect. One of the other places I called had the nerve to ask if my husband was home so he could talk because apparently women have no business taking about cars. I came here to get my car smogged after reading so many great Yelp reviews. The Yelpers did not disappoint. Five star Service from the moment I entered their doors. I was greeted warmly with a big smile and the guy guessed immediately I was there for smog because he saw my DMV paperwork. He said the wait was not bad and he could take me right away. The waiting area was definitely one of the better waiting areas I have ever sat in. Relatively clean/neutral smell (faint smell of rubber from the new tires on display, but it was not overpowering.) They had some light Christmas decorations, fresh coffee brewing, a flavored coffee machine, and some popcorn to snack on. Several clean and comfy couches to hang out on. My smog was done in under 45 minutes, and using the Yelp check-in offer (purchase $50 voucher for $25), I only had to pay 20 cents cash after redeeming the voucher! Very painless experience. Figured I'd get there just after 8am on Saturday and be one of their first customers. When I walked in 3 people were already waiting for their service to be completed. Good sign. 3 staff members were working behind the front desk so there was no wait to get started. While I waited for my smog check there was fresh coffee, doughnuts, and popcorn. The waiting room also has 4 comfortable leather couches. The estimated wait was an hour but it was done in about 20 minutes or less. Carlton went over some of the stuff that was seen during the service like brake pads, an oil leak, and wiper blades. Another reviewer gave a negative review for all of this extra information, but I appreciated it. There was no sell at all to do any other service than what I came for. I was very impressed by this place. I came in for a smog check and oil change. They honored an online coupon for each, so it ended up being a very good price. There are two clean, comfortable areas to wait inside. It was super clean, and they had free popcorn and coffee while you wait. They gave me a rundown on all the things that should, at some point be done to my car, and spent time answering my questions. But they never pushed me to do any service then and there. Only before writing this review did I realize it wasn't where I was referred (oops), but oh well ~ I'm happy. I needed a smog for a pre 1996 vehicle and I had no trouble at all in getting it done. Without an appointment, I found the wait to be cool. The interaction I had with both Guest Relations reps was friendly, respectful and informative. I called before coming in to check that I could use the deals on Yelp on my smog check, and Tristan was very helpful in explaining which offer I should use to get the best deal. I ended up paying on $25 for the smog, including certificate. I loved the waiting area with coffee/popcorn! In total, it took about 30 minutes from the time I walked in until they called me back over to the counter to pay. What really made it a 5-star location for me was that they also did a general checkup on my car for no extra charge. The gentleman helping me tried to explain everything that they recommended I get checked out, but when he could tell I was pretty confused by the auto lingo, he had someone type it all out for me so that I could let my husband know! They even offered to top off my oil before leaving since I was in dire need of an oil change.
