I came here to get a replacement lock for my trunk. A new lock at the dealership would have been 80 bucks. I got a lock here for 50 bucks. The lock they gave me was broken. When I got it home and tried to put it on the main piece of the mechanism was busted off. They charge a restocking fee for a return and 2 trips to san jose cost me 20 bucks in gas. Was looking for replacement air bags for Honda, list price for new was about $600 each for driver/passenger air bag and $600 for control module. Went to an auto body shop that quoted $300 each for air bag and $200 for control module. Was able to get both air bags and control module for $350.00. EBay sells the same for between $200.00 to $400.00. I figured this was safer and the parts were from local Honda's that were total. On EBay, I did not want to chance getting parts from cars that may have been flooded. read more

It was sad to see all the dead hondas because from years of seeing cars personified it makes you feel sorry for them (i.e. the movie Brave Little Toaster). On another note, Hector has worked there for 20 years and was really fast at fixing my wiper transmission. It is cool cause they have all the parts there and since he dismantles the cars day after day he knows all the hondas' nooks and cranies! I really thought I could do it myself because I watched a video on youtube but then I knocked some sense into myself and realized it would take more time than it was worth to get the part, get some tools out, figure out what goes where and put it back together again. Instead, leave it to pros! Fast! One-stop shop! I feel like other places sometimes poke around the car to figure it out but these guys know what they're doing. Never thought I'd be reviewing an auto dismantler on Yelp, but I feel compelled to type up a review, after the great experience I had here yesterday. I had a 1992 Honda Accord in working condition, but needed numerous repairs and wouldn't pass the smog check. Hence, I just wanted to get the vehicle off my hands. I figured with the numerous repairs needed, the effort to sell it on the private market wasn't worth my time, as I'm often strapped for time during the work week, and often leave town during the weekends. I called over a dozen dismantlers in the span of a few days, before finding Honda Only Auto Dismantlers on Yelp. They offered the best price for my Honda (and yes, they stuck to their initial price offer when I showed up), but more importantly, the customer service was excellent. Meena, in particular, was extremely friendly, accommodating, and made the whole process of transferring the vehicle to them, quick and easy. For those of you who are looking for used Honda parts, they have quite a large inventory, and everything appeared to be well organized. Family and I were looking to get air bags for a 2009 Honda Civic. My brother was able to get a price from Armando for $450 for the driver and passenger air bag with the computer module. That was on Monday. Today, Thursday, I called to make sure the parts were still there before I drive all the way from Modesto CA!!!! And Armando said the parts would be $550 and that the previous quote he gave my brother was an estimate. It's all bait and switch. Needless to say I would be taking my business someplace else. *YOU EVEN LIEING ON YELP?!?!?* You said that you told my brother an "estimated"amount and that the final amount was indeed $550. If it was an error on your part then you should've said so. Besides you should honor the original price since that was your mistake but I can see from the reviews that I'm not the first nor the last that your going to be bumping up prices on. read more

Disappointed with the service, they quoted me one price over the phone for an engine, when I got there, they bumped up the price $50, saying they need it to charge a core charge. I was to get the $50 core charge when I returned the old engine. I returned the old engine and they refuse to give me the core deposit back, stating they never agreed to such thing. They refused to give my deposit back, and for that I will never shop here again. Be careful when making any transactions here, since they tend to be sneaky, hope this helps. read more

wow, after dealing with honda heaven I thought based on reviews these guys would be better. The lady on the phone was by far the worst customer service person I have encountered in a long time. Maybe you saw my complaints about honda heaven, well this place seems to be about the same. When I asked about a lower control arm she replied I have an aftermarket one for $125. I said oh wow (didn't laugh this time cause it was 1st time evert dealing with them so trying to be a courteous as possible) that's quite a bit more than I'm seeing them online where they're $60-$80 each. Her response, well you don't know what brand your getting online or with me or if they have bushings... I had to cut her off there (I'm experienced enough with cars and the internet to know the difference between decent aftermarket and cheap ass knock off after market parts) and say, no I've already checked and they all come with bushings and are not cheap knock offs. Her attitude which was already going down hill went worse and she even tried to cover it up by saying I'm not trying to be a jackoff . I then asked ok, well what brand is your control arm then. She just ignored this and said it doesn't matter if found it cheaper online I should just buy it there and some other things about her cost bla bla. I responded by starting to ask again what brand and to tell her I wanted to find a local seller to get the part asap, at which point she cut me off, started in again about her price and that she has to eat and pay rent as well (I can only assume after that comment I was talking with one of the owners). My response was ok that fine and I understand that, but I'm a customer calling in asking questions and what you said has nothing to do with customer service, to which she started some flustered angry response, coldn't finish it and hung up. I can only assume this is a person of low intelligence and when presented with someone who wouldn't rise to their bait and lower themselves to her level and yell back she simply hung up. based on the other reviews, this was not the experience I expected. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Went to the store today and apparebtly they are under new ownership. as you can tell from the reviews, about 2 years ago is when they took over. The old owner was very nice to work with and very knowledgeable and really wanted to help. My experience today was less that satisfactory. For one, the guy, Armando i believe, doesn't know a DAMN thing about Honda's. Pretty silly for someone that ones a shop called Hondas Only to know nothing about them. His dad probably bought the business so that Armando can say "he has a job" but he is completely useless!! Honda's are not that hard to learn, so if he has been there for at least 2 years, he should at least have an idea on honda series motors. Place is great to find parts. I needed 2 crossmember bolts for my Acura. Called the dealers and both places didn't have any and were on backorder. One of them recommended me to this place. Called and spoke with Meena. Told her what I needed, when I went there and showed her the bolt I needed. We walked to to areas in the shop to find the bolts. The absolute worst experience I have ever had selling a car. I would give them negative stars if allowed. We has an old Honda that we had owned since new. It drove fine but engine was a little rough and probably would not pass smog. It was not worth much and we didn't want to spend the time or money to fix it and try and sell it. Was going to give it to Charity but decided to see if they wanted to buy it. They sent their "Nephew" out to look at the car over the weekend. He really wanted it and agreed to buy it and as we requested, change the title to Honda's only before taking possession of the car and he would go to the DMV on Monday and take care of it. I explained we had too many problems in the past selling our old cars as people would never title them in their name and we ended up getting notices for unpaid parking tickets, registration fees, Etc. Fortunately we always to the liability release but still had to prove it to whatever company/authority was going after us. He said no problem, "we do this all the time". He paid, I signed over the title and did a bill of sale. The next day I get a call from one of the owners, Meena is her name. I explained to her we are all good to go, just have your nephew Simon stop by with the title change from the DMV and get the car. This is when things got ugly. She started screaming and yelling at me, calling me a fraud and threatening to file charges of theft of the car she paid for and has the title for. She said they never change the title as they are a dismantler. I even offered to take the car back and give her the money back. I really didn't care as I would just call a local charity to pick it up. She said that's not how it works and then said, "I don't care what Simon said, he is an idiot and on medication" and I have a title and no car in the yard and I want the car!!!!!! Started calling me a scam artist! Maybe I don't even own the car and threaten to file charges again. Blah Blah Blah. This went on for about 5-10 minutes of her freaking out and yelling no matter how many time I tried to explain to her what Simon, who I assumed (Incorrectly it seems) represented your business would do before picking up the car. It was quite pathetic really. Looking back, Simon obviously had no authority to be signing for the business and committed fraud buy signing the DMV paperwork and Bill of sale. Not a good experience. I wanted a starter for my 89 Honda Civic. The guy there gave me a starter that was labeled 91 CRX for $50. The part online would have been around $80, but I did not want to wait, since the car had trouble starting. I asked him a couple of times if he was sure this part would do and he said yes. Then I go to the mechanic's and leave the car to be fixed, then I get a call back saying the starter does not physically fit there. I ended up buying a starter from the mechanic for $110. When the car was fixed and I compared the starter they took out of the car with the starter they had sold me, it was obvious the size was different, the one they had given me was quite larger. I brought the starter back for a refund, they supposedly gave me store credit even though it was clearly their fault and a refund was in order. Were rather rude on top of that, although I must admit I was pissed off myself. Next time I 'll try one of the other yards in the area. read more

I currently bought a car of my very own, No more sharing with siblings. lol My 2000 civic needed a little more than a little work. I was reffered to Hondas Only by a good friend of mine who told me how wonderdful their experience was, being a little skeptical of this I had to check out these "cheap prices"-- worried that by cheap,they meant dinged and dented. So i made a trip a to see for myself. The costomer service was amazing, the employees gave wonderful tips, products and installtion of some parts. I have been back over and over to thier shop for any car parts or pieces i have needed. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING!! I had lost my keys a while back and had to buy a new ignition, not only did they sell me an ignition, but i had to buy new door lock and trunk lock. They only charged me $75.00 for the ignition and gave me the door lock for free and only $10.00 for the trunk lock and installed everything for me for $45.00.I am normally feel pushed around by shops and that I'm not getting my bang for my buck,. This place is wonderful! I highly recommend trying this place out or just stopping by and see if they have something for you. read more
