I used Action Carpet to replace the carpet in my entire home. I was a bit intimidated with the process as I had never replaced carpet before. I went into the store and the sales associates were kind and helpful. I wanted the most pet friendly product which they helped me find right away. Incredibly, Nacho installed the carpet in a single day! He started early and stayed until the job was done, I believe till around 6:30 PM. He is an incredibly hard worker and extremely skilled. The job was literally perfect! There was a problem a few months later involving several stains due to my dog (the worst kind) and a stain product I should not have used on the carpet (this was my fault, clearly). Kany (the owner) worked out a very generous solution that made me very happy. I have had the carpet since June of 2023 and it is absolutely amazing. Great quality- so sof-t and the cushion underneath is a huge difference over what was there previously. The dog has since vomited a bright red color onto the carpet (of course) and I followed Kany's directions to use strictly water and a cloth over and over until all the color was absorbed up and it worked! I cannot say enough amazing things about this company. The quality of product and value for your money are unprecedented in my experience. And though I have not replaced carpet before, I have had several types of flooring installed by other companies and no one compares to Action Carpet & Floor Decor! On construction projects I typically wait 1 year before writing a review just in case, but It's obvious to me my hardwood (Hickory) floor install will outlast me ;) These guys are great, from the ownership down through the sales rep to the friendly installer. The quote process was thorough and prices are fair given the good quality. I opted for a less expensive glue (to save a buck) but Kany threw in the top shelf higher quality glue during install, at no extra charge. He really cares about the end product and sustainability. We just had our carpet and bathroom floor from Action Carpet. We worked with Charlie, he is great, knows his business inside out and gave us great tips and suggestions. He is very patient and gives a lot attentions to details. He puts in his time to design the cutting pattern of the carpet to give customer the savings. We highly recommend this place, and Charlie. This review is a little late since we had our new carpet installed couple months ago. But I can't not share my 5 star experience with Kany. I first called the store on a Sat. and had the pleasure of speaking with Kany the owner. Since I had already picked out the carpet I wanted (with help of designer friend), I just wanted to know about pricing, installation time frame etc. Couple of other stores I called wouldn't give me any info without me going into the store. Kany didn't hesitate, was very courteous and helpful, and didn't try to "sell" me anything. So of course I stopped by the store soon after, Kany showed me some other samples that were comparable to the brand I had already fell in love with. Again, no pressure sales talk, just very helpful information. Once my carpet was ordered, Kany kept me updated on the production and delivery schedules. There was a delay and Kany was very apologetic even though it was due to the manufacturer in NC, not him and he upgraded my padding as a courtesy. It was a big job so I was nervous when he told me his crew of 3 would be able to install in 1 day, which included furniture moving. And wow, I was so impressed, those 3 guys worked non stop all day and well into the evening and got it done! We love the new carpet - thank you Kany & crew! read more

What a wonderful experience! Sent an email on a Sunday and Melanie got right back to us! Four days later our seller for our new home graciously allowed us back to measure and Chris came. We then went to the showroom and within minutes all the measurements were on Melanie's iPad all color coded by room. We selected carpet and vinyl wood-like flooring and Melanie looked like a magician when she quickly calculated how much we would need, availability and installation dates. VERY impressed with this company's timeliness, professionalism and service. All this was accomplished with us in another city! These guys deserve the amazing reviews they get. I was in the middle of remodeling when I decided to change out my carpets. The people doing the cabinets had to cut pieces of it since the new ones didn't exactly fit the old footprint. I interviewed a few companies and chose Action Carpet because they are customer focused. They let me compare samples from several places, explaining the bizarre naming conventions of Mohawk, and ensured that I got the higher quality at a good price. An upgraded pad was included in the price, and so was furniture moving and stairs. Baseboards were not, but they noted this upfront and wrote up a separate order for it, so it was not mixed up into the quote, enabling me to compare apples to apples. The estimator, Anthony, was detailed with the diagram he drew. My house has a lot of odd angles and many rounded corners. He planned each strip of carpet, where it would be cut, and where we could use the "waste" pieces, like wrapping the stairs or in a coat closet. Kany, the boss, was very accomodating to my changing remodeling schedule. He made sure the carpet I ordered was available and then stored it when the schedule got delayed. When installation day came, he called me to make sure everything was on target. The installers were hardworking and diligent. Unfortunately, a storm was coming and they could not cut carpet in the garage because the space was taken by other projects. So they cut outside and preplanned all their cuts for the first day when it wasn't raining, working late to make it happen. The next day, they wrapped stairs and finished all the inside work. I truly had no worries with the coordination and everything looks great. They cleaned up, vacuumed, collected the remnants, and gave me a few for mats. We truly had hardly anything leftover, so the estimator saved us money by not overbuying material. read more

Action Carpet did an excellent job of installing our flooring, both luxury vinyl plank and carpet. I was skeptical of a smaller store doing a better job than the larger retailers I had been comparing. I had estimates from both Home Depot and Costco, and believe it or not, both were higher with less quality products. Kany and Chris were able to explain things to me and lead me in the right direction without trying to sell me a particular product. The main manufacturers, Mohawk and Shaw apparently make most of all the carpet and vinyl plank with different names and it becomes hard to compare with different retailers. The store displays and lay-out is helpful and nobody at Home Depot seems to have the same level of knowledge, the Costco rep was knowledgeable but not price competitive even with the shop card offered. The real stand-out was an installer named Nacho, who single-handedly moved our furniture, tore out our old carpet and did all the installation, this in the heatwave that is currently going on, without breaking a sweat, he is superhuman. The vinyl plank had a couple items that were quickly fixed by a different crew. I would highly recommend them. read more

Generally I like to root for a company to make a comeback when it fails in some way and I was rooting for Action Carpet to do just that. Unfortunately in this case they managed to fall flat on their face. Kany contacted me soon after my 1 star review (yes it took a 1 star review) and admitted his company dropped the ball and he would do whatever he could to fix it. He continued to apologize and said he would do whatever he could to fix it. He than said even more times that he apologized and would do whatever he could do to fix it. You are probably getting the gist of things here. All he did was talk. He and his company already came to my home some time ago and they knew the size of the space, they knew the tile I wanted and they knew I wanted it done ASAP. His constant calls and constant communication after this without actually ordering any material, providing specific dates on when it was going to happen, or anything else indicating some actual traction on getting this done pretty much left me with NO confidence in his ability to do the job. I decided this was NOT going to work and the relationship ended. I would once again STRONGLY advise anyone else thinking about working with this company to use caution. As a side note, the company I decided to go with instead actually purchased the tile on their dime, did a quality job and it only took them a week after giving them a green light to start the install. On top of that they charged me even less than Kany's "heavily discounted apology" price. read more

After several overestimates on my little 200sq ft rug-to-tile project, I am very pleased that I went with Action Carpet for prompt service, professionalism and a fair price. Melanie went out of her way to work with me to ensure that my questions were answered clearly and promptly. She was honest about her estimate and, in fact, stood out with her insights as to how to get the best results for my needs. She pointed out details that two other estimators didn't bother to mention (like the need for demolition!), to get the pattern just right the first time. The owner, Kani, even called me personally to make sure that I understood that slight variations, for example, may occur with the new tile due to the different dye lots when tiles are manufactured at different times and even within the same tile/grout number. Honestly, you'd have to know where the old tile was to really look for any difference whatsoever and since the transition was seamless, no one can tell. Yay! We had Action Carpet replace all of the carpet in the house, including 1 bathroom, all rooms, halls, and stairs. They had a quick turn-around time. We were able to get an estimate within days of first contact, then they were ready to install just a few days later. Everyone in the store was very nice and easy to talk to and deal with. Dave helped me in the store and was very helpful in advising which carpet to go with. The installers seemed nice and easy to work with, didn't talk with them much, stayed out of the way. The downside is that they scratched a couple of (freshly painted) walls while moving furniture around. Fortunately, I was having the painters come by again anyways, so they were able to touch up the spots. Kenny did call me to apologize about this and offered to have a painter come by to fix this. I didn't need it, since I already had my painter come by, but it was a very appreciated gesture. I had been shopping at Big Box retailers for new carpet that came as close as possible to the color of my current worn out carpet since I loved the color and type of carpet I had. However, my particular color range was currently not in fashion and very difficult to find. Shawn at Action Carpet was very helpful in finding me some options to consider and best of all the pricing was clear and straight forward. This was so different from my experience at the large retail stores like Lowe's and Home Depot where I could not get focused, qualified help from an associate in the carpet area and the prices were not clear and the choices confusing. I had made several trips to these stores previously without being able to enlist qualified help and finding any options for carpet choices that met my need. I was also pleased about the price I ended up paying which seemed much more reasonable than other estimates I'd received.
