I was happy to learn that I could have a tech come out the very next day. Shannon came to my home the following day and introduced himself, asked about my concerns, looked at the project and came up with a diagnosis. In 2015, we purchased a Hayden Home in South Nampa. Action Garage Door was the sub-contractor for the home's garage door. During our warranty period we had four positive interactions. The first was a "user error". The technician just needed to provide Genie opener training to a prior Lift-Master user. The second was a binding door. The Technician adjusted the opener and lubricated the door. The third was when the door suddenly stopped working. I cancelled the service call when the opener started working normally twenty-four hours later. . The fourth was when the Genie opener apparently shorted out. There were no lights or signal codes. The Action Technician installed a new opener. I think that Action does a very good job with Garage Door repairs. Going forward, we will use them again for maintenance and repairs. read more

Had always used a competitor in past, just bought a new house in meridian & one opener had issues ; Actions sticker was on wall & they originally installed openers so i called them. Excellent receptionest, actually had knowledge & pleasant personality. Brandon was exceptional also; on time ,very knowledgible,prices were very reasonable, very comforting when so many service related companies are using "flat rate" price gouging ! Turnsout i have obsolete openers that will most likely need replacing, i will definately call action to do this. Rarely provide reviews unless they are good but my experience is broad and would not want others to encounters these situations. Have a 12 year old home and spent $400 + on the garage door opener--have another home same age and spent $60 on a preventative call. Have replaced the opener and that took three tries as the motion lights were not connected to the wall the first time and my door was being opened by neighbors due to programming glitch. Now the door came down on my car and then I couldn't get it to close all the way. I called their emergency number and the serviceman kept advising me that it would probably cost $100 even though I had a year's warranty still in place. I finally advised that I would figure it out--he called back to apologize and said he was 'grouchy because he had been woken up'. It was 10:00 pm or at the latest 10:30 but not all that late. I advised him that I wouldn't use them again. I called the office on Monday and they were quick to advise that it didn't sound like their opener and they would likely be charging me for the service call. It is really a safety risk and luckily I don't have small children but still don't want that heavy door coming down on anyone or anything. Vote of no confidence for Action Doors. They don't seem to care too much. read more
