They slithered out at 2am into an apartment complex , no signs posted and towed my Tesla !! Vermin

They appear to have an arrangement with the Admiral Walk Condominium Association that allows them to tow vehicles without cause and without providing any prior notice. After towing, they demand a $435 fee to release the vehicle. They demand payment in cash! To make everything more suspicious. They also file a lien to sell the vehicle on the same day it is towed, again without notifying the owner. This pattern of behavior suggests conduct that may violate consumer protection standards. The association denies receiving any profit from this arrangement, but that claim is difficult to accept given the frequency and manner in which these tows occur. The company's facility is located on an unmarked dirt road, hidden from public view, and its office is a deteriorated trailer that does not reflect a legitimate or safe business environment. Nothing about the location or their procedures inspires confidence. On November 9, 2025, my family's car was towed from our apartment complex in Sarasota -- less than 24 hours before I called to request information. When I spoke with the person on the phone, Tylor (the owner), he was extremely rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. I explained to him that I recently had a C-section, have a newborn baby at home, and that I'm struggling with postpartum depression, while my husband is the only one working. Instead of showing the slightest bit of empathy or professionalism, he mocked me, told me that I "didn't do my research," and even called me "stupid." That kind of behavior is disgusting and unacceptable, especially from someone running a business that serves the public. They are also charging $455 for a tow, claiming it's "legal in Sarasota," yet refused to provide any documentation or law that justifies that fee when I requested proof. This lack of transparency and compassion shows how shady and unpleasant this company truly is. I am formally reporting Action Towing and its owner Tylor to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and local authorities for further investigation. DO NOT USE ACTION TOWING - Unprofessional, Disrespectful, and Shady Absolutely horrible experience with Action Towing out of Sarasota, FL. I was parked in front of my own house because there were no available spots in my neighborhood--something completely out of my control. Less than an hour later, my truck was already being towed. To make it worse, I had a valid parking pass hanging clearly from my rearview mirror the entire time. Then came the sketchy part--he said if I paid him $100 through Zelle, he'd drop the truck. I was flustered in the moment and accidentally sent it through Venmo. He then called his wife (or whoever handles the payments), and she told him they don't have Venmo. That's funny--because if they don't have it, how did they know I had just paid them through it? That alone felt like a total scam. After I finally sent the money through Zelle as requested, he still kept trying to explain "the law" about not parking on the grass--completely ignoring the fact that I told him there were no open spots and that I had a valid parking pass. He clearly wasn't interested in hearing the truth or being fair. Once he dropped the truck (and I immediately moved it into an actual parking spot), he drove off without giving me any kind of receipt, documentation, or final explanation. This company is shady, aggressive, and shows zero professionalism. They're clearly just out trying to make money wherever they can, even if it means towing vehicles with valid permits and ignoring the circumstances.
