We had my in-laws 50th anniversary party here, as my wife and her family have been coming here for years, and multiple owners. So I'll start out with the hood in that is the friendliness of the staff. They make you feel at home and they are very welcoming. Definitely great service. The ambiance is what you expect from a pizza lounge. It's the basic set up of a bar with a lot of seating. Nothing bad and what you would expect. Now the food or the pizza and cheese bread we ordered were ok. I know I'm a bit of a pizza snob and I can be hard on pizza. The pizza we ordered was the pepperoni lovers and to be honest it did not have a ton of flavor and even my kids who love pizza were not all that impressed. The pizza lacked flavor outside of saltiness and pepperoni, it lacked sauce which can take a pepperoni pizza to the next level. I actually took the sauce, which was good from the cheese bread and put it on top. That made it better, but still average at best to below average. The cheese bread was the highlight and actually made me excited for the pizza. I'm glad we got it though as that sauce (that unlike most places is extra for the cheese bread) made the pizza better. Overall if my review was just about the pizza and cheese bread it would be a two star review. There is better pizza out there for better value at that. The service is superb and that is why it's a three. If I come back I will try things outside of pizza. read more

Not what it used to be. Been coming here for years and I have seen a steady decline in food quality. Spaghetti (ordered last month) watery, terrible taste, and the garlic bread is now different as well as it was soggy and gross. Ordered pizza this week. Crust has defintelty changed, horribly thin and sad! Old ingredients and sauce tastes like it was scraped from the bottom of a week old tub of sauce. Adagio's was always a hot spot for me growing up in New Brighton, big Friday night hang out, they have since moved just down the road but the pizza is still wonderful, there dough is very delicious along with their sauce and amount of sauce they use on their pizza's. They have broasted potatoes too with seasoned sour cream that are always a go to item on the menu. They have a meat raffle every Friday night. Tater tots were awesome and fresh, perfectly fried and hot. It took us over an hour to get our food so that paired with the below average dishes we ordered just made the experience not great. If you like "deep dish" pizza this is the best place I have found, I even like it more than any Chicago deep dishes that I have had, but that's me. The homemade dough, house made sauce and the fresh ground Italian sausage are what makes the pizza. Good pizza takes time and this one will be about 45 minutes to an hour wait but worth it! If dining in I order ahead due to impatient kids otherwise take out is great too. I have been dining here for almost 40 years and it still remains my families favorite place for pizza! Oh and if you sign up for StayLocalSaveBig monthly coupons it makes the price unbeatable! I paid $17.95 for the pizza pictured and it fed 4 of us. Our server was bubbly and friendly and very helpful with menu questions and suggestions. We ordered the garlic bread with cheese and was delicious! One piece was a little too brown on the end and server asked if we were ok with that or if we wanted a new order. The fact she even asked was great and we appreciated her attentiveness. It was only one piece and just one bite. All of our meals were delicious and the portions are huge. You won't leave hungry. The menu was recently changed to add even more sandwiches and new pizza options. It was also nice to see a summer special menu with food and drinks. The only thing we miss are the suckers and hard candies they used to bring with the bill! It brings me back to my childhood days when we used to get a sucker for the road. Just had pizza here...very disappointed in several areas. The crust to start with tasted like a saltless Saltine cracker with no taste. Missing the notes of honey or a good fermented crust. The watery toppings were hiding underneath the white barely cooked cheese. The crust also had a lot of burned remnants from other pizza's. The oven should have been swept prior to making the pizza. The pizza was soggy because the toppings were under the cheese so the moisture from veggies was trapped there and when the pizza was cot all the water drained into the crust making soggy pizza. Bummer I had high hopes for a pizza place my wife frequented as teenager. Won't be back :-( read more

I admit the veggie toppings were fresh, but the rest of the dish wasn't good. At home, I kept it warm in the oven and the (undercooked) bottom adhered to the cardboard. Philly cheese pizza: my favorite! I would highly recommend! I'm a fan of the Factory's shredded lettuce side salads and zesty pizza sauce! I remember coming here in high school, so this establishment has been around for over 20 years. I always select the build your own pizza so I get exactly what I want. Its a pretty chill environment with two sides. There's the quiet restaurant side, which was gearing up for a Texas hold'em tournament that Sunday night. Then there is the bar half with TVs, pull tabs and sometimes karaoke. Ordered Adagio's for the first time. We ordered a Hawaiian Breeze pizza 14" and a patty melt with fries. The pizza had a tasty, not overly seasoned sauce, very cheesy on a cracker-type, thin, crispy crust. Though tasty, little too pricey for a 2 topping thin crust pizza in my opinion (19.75). The patty melt was great, thick marbled rye bread, half pound burger, 2 types of cheese (American and swiss), grilled onions and the garlic and mushrooms were a welcome addition to what was otherwise a traditional patty melt. Well worth the 13.50 price tag. The pick up was easy, paid over the phone and carried out in the back entrance of the restaurant. read more

Why did I come back here? I have to bump these guys up to 3 stars. The pizza is awesome. But it took OVER AN HOUR to get it! And we were the only ones in the whole place ordering food. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. The fried ravioli was okay. But it took half an hour because - supposedly - they burned the first batch. Come on, they just have to deep fry the stuff. Not complicated. Our server was super nice and she had our drinks in a flash. So apparently, the area where these guys fall on their face is in the back kitchen. This is the kind of place where...when you walk in the front door...everyone turns to look at you to see if you're a regular. If you're looking for a good hole in the wall/dive pizza joint. Here is a great one! Great thin crust pizza with plenty of toppings and freshly made. I didn't have the best experience upon arrival. I wasn't greeted or even acknowledged. Luckily, I was meeting a group here, or else I wouldn't have been sure if I should seat myself or if I should wait to be seated. The restaurant was rather dark and was more busy around the bar. Upon sitting down, it took the waitress awhile to come take my drink order. I asked what they have and she only listed off what was on tap (which I was fine with cause I prefer tap beer). We ordered pizza as a group, pepperoni and the 'alm'. Pizza was made to order and good. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but still solid good pizza. It did take a while for them to make it, but it wasn't quite to the level of ridiculous. I can see myself coming back here if their pizzas are good. On to the nachos! OMFG! These nachos were amazing, even for takeout. Good ingredients and good chips, but what puts it over the top for me was the chips were swimming in the real cheese. These were spicy too and loaded with jalapenos. This is my favorite traditional pizza in the north burbs. They have standards and some unique ingredient pizzas. Inside you will find two sides, the bar and lounge or the dining room. Every time I order from Adagio's, they make a major mistake. My most recent order they missed a $7 soup (has happened at least twice now) and the breading on my chicken sandwich was burnt. No tomato slices either. Previous orders had broasted potatoes burned to a crisp, missing bread, missing croutons, bland chicken alfredo. Ordered a build my own burger with a dinner salad for take out. The burger was very dry to the point that it was difficult to swallow it. It was over cooked and extremely well done. I had ordered it medium to medium well.The "toasted" bun was actually burned. The dinner salad was a bunch of shredded lettuce dumped out of a bag with one cucumber slice. Very unappetizing. We'd heard great things about the pizza and we were anxious to try it since we were new to the neighborhood. We were very disappointed with our take out order. The crust was like a junior high science experiment, oddly shaped, tasteless and just horrible. Even my teenage grandson wouldn't eat it. Teenage boys eat anything.
