You can dress a pizza half and half.

What went well the other night for our local pizza outing...? Everything! Cold beer and water, fresh salad, live music , nummy original flavorful pizzas, perfect service and a neighborhood feel to the place. And extra pizza slices to take home. I'm a fan.

Cute place in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We were there around 4:30pm on a Friday. Was busy but we were seated right away. Fast and friendly service. Pizza fries were amazing and the pizzas were delicious! Love the specialty pizza options. The crust is super unique and the best way I can describe it is that it's like an amazing cracker. Cute bar, good drinks. Will for sure be back!

Half hot pepperoni half thai chicken

Had to run an errand in the area and were looking for something quick and easy for dinner. First note, which didn't impact my rating was that Google Maps initially sent us to the opposite side of the road in the business park area and not over by the shops. Just to be aware. The space was unassuming, but cute. Our server was definitely quick, but I felt almost rushed through everything and the tables weren't full/waiting, so I was a little pit off on how quick we were seemingly expected to get through. We tried a split pizza, with half the hot pepperoni special (not on the menu) and half the thai chicken. Both were seemingly good, but the Thai chicken was an overload of toppings. It was difficult to get a bite in without most of the toppings spilling off. Still very tasty! I liked that you could get a couple options and the pizzas were pretty large.

You can split the 15" into 2 pizzas, which we did into buffalo chicken and Celilla pizza. I got the gluten free crust with the gyro and chicken on it. The service was amazing the pizza was amazing. We have already gone back and it was just as amazing. And we are planning a party here so everyone can experience this. I struggled giving this review as I don't want it to get to busy. But you must check this out.

Thai chicken crunch

First time going here. Food was good - we got two personal pan size pizzas for two people (so we could try two flavors) which gave us several slices for leftovers. The Thai chicken crunch was great! The Italian farmer was good too - a little less flavorful but more hearty with all the veggies. It was really crowded with a few BIG groups so the service was less than ideal, but I'm guessing it's usually not so chaotic. Overall, pretty good pizza and would likely go again.

I've been frequenting Olive's in Excelsior for almost six years. If you read my review of that location, you'll know that it's my favorite pizza establishment in Minnesota. This new location lives up to...and in my opinion, exceeds the hype of their first location. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of other well-known and often over-crowded Edina spots, this unassuming strip mall location is ideal!! Ample parking, a open layout, plenty of tables, and a really fun bar makes this the perfect weeknight pizza place or date night establishment. Service is quick, friendly, and acts like they've known you forever. One of my biggest positives, was that the owner can be seen cleaning tables and sweeping every nook and cranny. This team cares about your experience at their shop! The best thing about the new location is that they finally offer cocktails! Fun, inventive menu of specialty cocktails or the OGs, whatever your preference. But don't worry, their HEAVY wine pours made the trip over from Excelsior too! We went with the specialty pizza this time around and it was delectable! BBQ pork, Cole slaw, and multiple BBQ sauces made for the perfect post-daydrinking pizza! :) Will be a monthly regular at this new spot!! Can't recommend enough!!

sorry for my half eaten posts from @olivesfreshedina BUT what better way to celebrate pi day than some good ole' love BOTH locations for entirely different reasons but one remains the same: QUALITY! do yourself a huge favor and order a hotty toddy from the 'secret menu' - you will not regret it. best item by far! speedy service, accommodating for groups, & the best place to order multiple menu items from to test and try! don't sleep on those Italian fries either.....

Caprese pizza and Oktoberfest special pizza

I'm a sucker for a brick oven pizza, and this has become a recent favorite! So many options and the perfect thin cracker crust is how I'd describe it. They are generous with the toppings and the prices are fair. Many great drink options with cider, wine, beer and also offer a nice happy hour. My hubby ordered the Oktoberfest special this last time, and it was one of the best pizzas we've had. Do yourself a favor, and try this place!

Gluten-free pizzas were very good, especially the caprese. And the glasses of wine are a REALLY good pour.

We made a reservation on both occasions but didn't have to make it too much in advance so it's always worth checking on. Service is always spectacular with a huge attention to detail and really customized spiels about the menu. The things I've recently tried for drinks have included the spritz del ambratta, the fiore, and a sparkling red from their wine selection. I find myself going back to the Fiore and would recommend that most although their wine is a solid selection as well. In my opinion, the best starter combination is the focaccia plus the lemony beans. The focaccia is solid and it's so good to dip in the mixture that the beans are doused in. The Caesar was decent as well but you can't miss with that other combo. Then, of course, the mains. If you love creamy pasta, do yourself a favor and get the cavatelli. One of my favorite dishes I've had there; I kept almost comparing it to an adult Mac and cheese. Great for sharing if creamy pastas are a bit too rich for your liking. The lasagna is always a close second and you can't go wrong with it. My friend adored the pickle pizza and I thought it was solid too although I would still probably get the cavatelli or lasagna if you are between that and the pizza. Another great shareable. The saffron spaghetti was decent with some really good bite from the noodles and the taste of saffron really coming through, but I would probably get those other dishes before I would order that. On the first occasion, I was there we were celebrating two of my friends' 30th birthdays and H&S did such a good job of celebrating and making them feel special plus they brought out French silk pie cannolis for us plus glasses of sparkling wine, so I would highly recommend this place as a celebratory dinner. I hope it becomes a big mainstay in twin cities/twin cities adjacent cuisine.

Super cute place!…read more Food, drinks ambiance all perfection- service was great too very attentive at the right time. In the end though my dinner date and I were told basically to speed it up for the next patrons coming in. He said we had 15 minutes. So by 645p we had to be done ‍. We were left speechless. I ordered an affogato and slammed it to be done by 6:45. We would have loved more but were not able to .

There was a special for 2 that included three courses for $145. We made reservations at arrived at 7:30. Packed dining room which was great to see since this was our first time. We also had to bring our infant with us, and the wait staff didn't greet us until 7:45. Not ideal, but they were busy. Only three waiters for a packed dining room. They also had no direction or host greeting diners. Finally they took us to our table, which hadn't been bussed. So they made us wait an additional 10 minutes while they got it cleaned off. What's the point of a reservation if you're not guaranteeing me a clean table at the time of arrival? We were sat down and the couple next to us wished us good luck as they said they were waiting for their food nearly an hour. Yikes. It took the wait staff another 10 minutes to bring us water and menus. Luckily we had looked online so we knew all three course what to order. I also asked for a drink menu and ordered a martini. As I looked around at other diner's experiences, the wait staff looked so confused and were bringing random food to all the tables to figure out what went where. This is the basics of running a dining room. If you can't remember or properly communicate together, write it down with table numbers. It's that easy. The couple next to us finally got their first course which looked no better than what you could get at HyVee, and literally one minute later they were trying to push their entree's on them as well. Absolutely ridiculous. How dare you make diners wait so long to get food, and then try to rush them when it's finally ready. That couple got up and left. We got our first course which the potstickers tasted almost like the ones from Trader Joe's. Makes me question if Chef Mike(Microwave) was involved in the cooking that evening. My scalloped potatoes were unseasoned and bland. Then the staff brings me over a beer, which I had completely forgot about my martini. Definitely did not order a beer. We weren't done with our 1st course and the same waitress pushed our entrees on us, but at this point, we just wanted to eat what was edible and leave. We ordered our Filet Mignon medium rare, and let me tell you, that steak was still mooing. Completely raw, cold in the middle, and likely unsafe to eat. The waiter finally brought my martini which had melted from sitting at the pass too long, and I asked to leave and pay for only my appetizers. The only good thing that came from this experience was the waiter being understanding and even agreed that the night was a disaster and expensed our meal. We took off at 8:30p, and got home, put our son to bed, and while my wife was doing that, I made a romantic dinner at home. Moral of the story here, if you can't run a competent kitchen with a competent staff, turn your restaurant into a buffet or close. At this point you'd find a better Steak at Texas Roadhouse by a country mile. Hope my experience can be used for training and team management, as well as save other diners from that complete sh*tshow.
