We told them in advance that we would have a lot of people, but they didn't take the time to clean the over flow area. I had to start moving stuff out the way to clear it. They have a dusty piano with extension cords all over the floor presenting tripping danger, I also had to push all those out of the way as best as I could. WE HAD TO BRING OUR OWN TELEVISION TO PLAY A VIDEO OF PHOTOS because the TV they have which is small is also too outdated to connect a phone or play a chip. CRAZY! I sent the lady who was helping us 5 photos of my mom so they could get a good idea of what she looked like (she's barely wearing any make up in any or none at all) and they put so much make up on her red lip stick and wing tipped eyeliner! They curled her hair up even though she never wore her hair like that. I had to TRY to fix it with hair spray and blow drier, I couldn't believe it. I'm glad it was closed casket or it would have been SO EMBARRASSING to let family and friends see her. They made her forehead round even though hers was flat with a square hairline- it even seemed like they shaped her hair line by shaving her hairs off. Her mouth was huge and sticking out because they made her lips so large. She didn't look anything like herself- she reminded me of my old neighbor Mr Montgomery!! We had to bring all our own tables to put coffee out for our family and friends. We had told them we would have a big group and had asked if we could put chairs and tables for coffee on the outside patio area and were told we could, but they didn't even take the time to sweep out there. How embarrassing! I give this place a ZERO! the nicest person here was the man who stayed until closing, I don't remember his name but he was also handsome and kind.

Observing gravesites overgrown with weeds and trash to the point where most of the property looks like a cornfield just goes to show you what the city of Carson management thinks of your tax dollars & deceased loved ones. The masoleum? If you are looking for a loved one's marker, expect it to be completely rusted over. No work done in terms of basic maintenance whatsoever. The only decent part of Lincoln in 2024 is that the road is devoid of potholes (for now). If it was up to me, I would exhume the several graves that contain my deceased loved ones, and bury them in my own backyard. At least their remains would be highly respected as opposed to resting in complete sh*t as opposed to peace. City of Carson management, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves for neglecting this cemetery that you have the nerve to call sacred ground. I sincerely hope that karma treats every single one of you in the appropriate manner that you deserve when either any of you or family members depart these earthly bonds. Highly recommend anyone that wants to bury a loved one here to seek somewhere else.

Sadly, the owner is said to have had 3 strokes a few years back and is completely incapacitated; consequently, he can no longer run the cemetery and there is no one to take his place. There is a Facebook group under the (Families of Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Carson, CA) comprised of loved ones of the interred and volunteers that have been clearing and cutting the grass and keeping the gates open from 8:30a to 5:00pm. They are appealing to local and state legislature for help. Please visit and join them.

We typically have not complained much as the crew at Forest Lawn has shown due diligence. But yesterday's trip was a bit of a shock. The site was all dried up and weeds are sprouting. No green grass and looking around find that it is looking all dried up everywhere. I know it is Spring and rainfall isn't up to normal. But what will it look like when summer is here?? Oh, I found Hearing Aids belonging to "Dave" (labeled), so I took it to the office. Forest Lawn can do better with watering the lawns and getting rid of weeds.

NEVER allowing us to see him until the funeral. The earliest they could allow service was 4 weeks out! When we saw him for service, his body was already deteriorated. Barely a nose, face was drawn in like he was NOT embalmed and stored properly! On the day of service at their location, Veronica tells my family an hour before our service she has a Dr appt. She LEAVES and never returns. The maintenance man is also the makeup man and he couldn't help us with Bluetooth access, passwords, etc. NOT ONE PERSON was present to assist us!!! It was a do it yourself funeral. No structure, the ppl there to mourn him had to work to ensure everything. Doors just open, casket just open the entire time. When I asked Miguel to change the music his playlist said "black funeral" The service was in afternoon and my loved one SMELLED . I told the maintenance man who dressed my grandfather at 10am and didn't keep him cool. He was still in chapel at 7pm despite me complaining. He basically explained after we leave he will put him up...I'm concerned. The maintenance man Miguel said this was the last time we would see him, even though he was being buried the next day. TERRIBLE. He was unrecognizable, not stored or cared for. First loved one we've had to bury and it was a TERRIBLE TRAUMATIC experience. Oh and all of this cost over 12K FOR WHATTTTTT! To play in our faces with the patriarch of our family. He lived in this city for over 60 years this is. We show back up the next day for burial procession. The smell is SOOOO bad my Uncle spits up. We get to site and my family wants to see him again. Miguel says no I speak directly with cemetery they say ok. We open it, touch my grandfather and he's NOT COLD! He stayed in the chapel ALL NIGHT! This was a nightmare.
