We went around 7:30, after the happy hour crowd had cleared out, and there was plenty of seating available. We were seated at a table by the window, and the marina view at sunset was great. We started with drinks, a dozen oysters, and half a dozen clams on the half shell. The oysters and clams were smaller than we expected, but they were fresh and delicious. The drinks were good and definitely heavy pours, which we appreciated. Next, we had the PEI Mussels with saffron cream sauce. Most of the mussels were really good, although a few were overcooked. We also tried the Golden Miso Sablefish with wasabi mashed potatoes and charred baby bok choy. The fish was okay but a little bland when eaten by itself. I think it was intended to be eaten with the wasabi mashed potatoes, which helped give it more flavor. We do not normally order fries, but the truffle fries looked good, so we decided to try them. They were crunchy, well seasoned, and delicious. We ended up eating the entire order. The inside of the restaurant was nice, and most of the dining area was quiet enough for us to have a conversation without raising our voices. The bar area seemed livelier, but it did not make the rest of the restaurant feel loud. Overall, we had a very good dinner. The view, drinks, oysters, clams, and truffle fries were the highlights. What a horrible experience at Yellowfins on 7/25/2026. I made reservations for six people for my girlfriend's birthday and the food came out warm. We had to send two meals back and they comped us for one. The food took forever to come out, due to a party downstairs. Two of us ordered salad and it came out with the meal. The waitress said I'm sorry I thought that's what you wanted!!!! Then a server spilled a beer on my friend's head getting it off the tray after delivering two drinks. They gave her 20% off-big deal! The steak lacked the bold, savory flavor you expect, and the imperial sauce was disappointing. The noticeable standout was the seafood risotto that accompanied the Chilean Sea-bass, but the sauce peppers did nothing to enhance the flavor of the dish. We also ordered the bacon-wrapped shrimp and scallops, which were cooked perfectly; however, the small dollop of lukewarm barbecue sauce felt like an afterthought. I've been dining at Yellowfin for Sunday brunch for many years, until today. It seems Sunday Brunch has been discontinued thanks to new management. I wonder why? The new menu has no breakfast options, and the two dish's I ordered were subpar. I had sushi and the calamari. The sushi was ok, but the calamari was not good at all. It was overcooked, old grease, and the dipping sauce was way too spicy. I understand change, but I think you dropped the ball on this one. I recently dined at Yellowfin Steak and Fish House in Edgewater, MD. The atmosphere was nice, the food was generally flavorful, and both the host and our waiter, Jesús, were pleasant and kind. Unfortunately, I experienced a serious food allergy issue. I informed the waiter at the start that I am allergic to shrimp and ordered the Sea Bass & Scallops. After a few bites, my throat began itching, and I discovered a large piece of shrimp in the dish, it was in the risotto. The receipt later stated that I "did not like" the dish, which was inaccurate. I immediately raised the concern, and the waiter explained that he forgot to inform the kitchen and mentioned he was new. The manager did comp the meal, which I appreciated, but my concern was never about cost--I simply wanted to eat safely and enjoy my uncle's 73rd birthday. I reordered a fish with mashed potatoes and artichokes. By the time it arrived, the rest of the table was nearly finished eating, and the fish was slightly burnt. I chose not to send it back, though the flavor was good. We ordered three appetizers, a bowl of cream of crab soup, and three entrées total, and overall the food was tasty. With that being said, food allergies must always be taken seriously, as this could have been dangerous for someone with a more severe allergy. I recommend that new servers carefully write down orders, fully learn the menu--especially allergens--or be paired with experienced staff. While the food was good, this experience has made me hesitant to return. We have been debating coming here for a while and finally made our way to Yellowfin. We went for dinner and were thoroughly impressed with view of the water. The decor was a bit dated but again the picturesque view more than made up for it. We shared the 1/2 cream of crab and 1/2 Maryland crab soup, the ribeye which was accompanied by grilled asparagus and mashed red potatoes. The soup was one of the best we've ever had. It was so flavorful and had plenty of crab. The ribeye was supposed to medium rare but it came out a little blue so we sent it back to be cooked longer. There was a gravy served under my steak. It was not bad and was seasoned well. Our waiter Josh was apologetic and friendly. He was great! The asparagus was over cooked, stringy, and lacked seasoning. The potatoes were made well but were missing salt. For our cocktails we ordered the grapefruit crush and the purple haze martini. The crush needed more alcohol and the purple haze tasted amazing. Came here for Sunday brunch for Father's Day. Wasn't horribly busy but the tables are so close together that people couldn't get thru for the buffet. We had to keep getting up so people could by. Crazy. They also kept running out of food. No serving utensils for condiments & food on the buffet. Ran out of Tomahawk steak. I love finding myself in new spots and being happy with everything. I celebrated a wedding anniversary here, and we didn't want a fancy place but wanted quality food, and Yellowfin fits that bill. Right on the water, it gave a romantic ambiance. Service was 10/10. I wouldn't say I like it when I forget to write down our server name, but she was attentive and informative when asked questions and suggestions, which, by the way, we're spot on. We decided to try things we usually don't go for, and boy, oh boy, did it pay off! The oysters Rockefeller Chesapeake style were delicious! I am very picky about the cream of crab, and it was full of meat; you could taste the cherry, and very flavorful. The meals were equally well-seasoned and had nice portions. The lamb chops came with 6 chops; I haven't been served that many before. I added a crab cake to my meal. It wasn't the best I have had, but it was good and meaty. They have a huge bar area with pink Florescent lighting, the dining area is huge and they have a downstairs for private parties as well. Our waitress Kiah was amazing. The food: Pleaseeeee get the crab cake egg rolls and the oyster Rockefeller appetizers. The rolls were bomb(although they weren't at hot as I would have liked). They were huge, flavorful and packed with crabmeat. The oysters were filled with perfection. They come with bacon crumbles which was an added bonus to the flavor. The entrees were the lamb lollipops and salmon Oscar. The lamb was really tender and they gave you atleast 8/9 lollipops. Definitely worth the money. The sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes were really good. The portion was hugeeeeee so I had plenty to take home. The salmon dish was really good and flavorful. Also we had the lobster mac. They have an entree or appetizer size. The app was more than enough. It was really good but could have used more lobster. The drinks: The old fashion was so strong according to my friend. I was so disappointed this time we went for Sunday brunch. We've been for our anniversary several years before so we were excited about going again this year! The prices went up while the quality of food went down . Some things on the brunch were excellent-the sushi was superb! The endless Bloody Mary's were terrific too-but the scrambled eggs had a strange lumpy feel, the sausage was tasteless and the hash browns were bland. Our server was wonderful! The beef carpaccio seemed like it was the leftover prime rib from Sunday brunch that they just cut thin. It certainly wasn't raw beef. Sad. I received an email from them advertising a special pre-fix Valentine's Day special that ran through the weekend. The email also advertised Chef Edry's New Features as well as a few other weekly specials. We decided to celebrate a few days after the holiday to try to get away from the crowd. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We had a great table with a wonderful sunset view. Our server was very polite and attentive. We came in planning on going with the special menu, but I also wanted to order an appetizer off of Chef Edry's new menu. When I tried to do so I was informed that menu wasn't available and hadn't been for quite awhile. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. If that menu is no longer available, it needs to be removed from the website and email blast. Things happen and I wasn't going to let that ruin the experience. We started off with the chargrilled oysters. They were pretty good and adequate size for an appetizer. Tasty, but nothing exceptional. The second course was the Hearts of Romaine salad. This was a total disappointment. The lettuce looked extremely old and was starting to turn brown. It gave the impression that it was the end of the week and they were going to serve it vs wasting it. It was a very small portion even for a side salad. It had roughly four pecans a couple of strawberries with a sprinkle of goat cheese. It was served tossed in a vinaigrette. The taste wasn't bad, but this salad had definitely seen better days. Took a few bites and left the rest. I got the Surf and Turf and absolute chef's kiss! Everything was prepared perfectly. Temp on my steak was spot on. It came with a filet, lobster tail, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I'm allergic to asparagus and I was able to substitute for the spinach. Great presentation and something I'd absolutely order again. For the final dessert course I got the strawberry crème brûlée. Just ok. It was lukewarm and the consistency of the custard was a little lumpy and I didn't get any strawberry flavor. There were fresh sliced strawberries on the plate, not sure if that's why they called it "strawberry...". The main course was amazing, but everything else was really just ok. We had chicken wings in Thai sauce on the advice of the server. The wing segments were well seasoned and moist. Clearly she gave good advice. We hosted our daughter's bridal shower there today. We were in the downstairs dining area. It was a 10 out of 10. Diana the Yellow Fin event manager was so incredibly organized and a real pleasure to work with. All the servicing staff were amazing. This might be my new favorite seafood restaurant. We found this place on Google after going to Mayo Beach Park. While looking at the menu, we had a really hard time deciding what to order so we looked at what was being brought out to other tables and everything looked AMAZING so it was still hard to decide. My fiance saw the Thai Shrimp egg rolls so we ordered that and I had a craving for sushi so I ordered the Maryland roll. The Thai Shrimp was good. Maybe 3.5 outta 5 stars. The sushi was 4 outta 5. I ordered the mac n cheese for my daughter and it was sooo good! So creamy and cheesy. I couldn't keep off her plate. I didn't have a big appetite so I ordered the mini crab cakes from the appetizer menu as my main dish and they were delicious! My fiance got the crab cake sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries. Primary food issues: * Eggs were turning green under the heating plate * french toast was hard * french fries were cold * the buffalo wings were soggy * the mac and cheese... disgusting I could go on, but i'll stop there. -There was no sanitizer at the self serve buffet. Nor was there hand sanitizer on the tables. We booked our anniversary dinner at Yellowfin at 7:00 tonight, 10/12. We arrived shortly before our reservation time and were told that the restaurant/kitchen had closed early (supposedly because of the weather, but it was only lightly raining). Another employee came out and told us there were no reservations for 7:00 p.m. I showed him my reservation in the Open Table app, but he said there was nothing in their system. While we were talking to him, another couple who also had a 7:00 p.m. reservation walked in. Neither of us had gotten a phone call, text, or email to notify us that the reservation had been canceled. The second employee gave us and the other couple business cards with a note on the back for free appetizers and drinks on our next visit, but that does not make up for the 1/2-hour drive in the rain and ruining our anniversary dinner. Very disappointing, especially since this is one of our favorite restaurants and where we had our rehearsal dinner. read more

It was a party of 5, so we ordered a few appetizers and our main courses. The service was a bit lackluster and seemed rushed. Not sure why, because it wasn't a full restaurant, nor were we a fussy table. For appetizers we had the crab dip and the chicken wings. Neither impressed me. For my entree, I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta and it was just okay. Nothing extraordinary about it, just okay. I probably wouldn't order it again IF (and that's a big IF) I ever decided to visit this restaurant again in the future. Before we could finish our food, we were asked if we wanted boxes. Then we were asked if we wanted the check. Normally, servers ask if you want dessert, especially if you've expressed a birthday is being celebrated. We were able to order dessert and I did have a very delicious chocolate torte (highlight of my meal) and the visit at Yellowfin. Everyone else seemed to like their meals, but again, this is my personal preference that I just wasn't impressed. You'll have to of course try it for yourself to see what you think. The view was almost worth all the hiccups we encountered. Then again, we could've had a lovely view of the water in downtown Annapolis with better food and better service at another restaurant, so yeah, there's that.
