I tried their Sunday Brunch. The food choices were expansive and vast. I wanted to check out the seafood. They had a very good crab dip, I wanted to try more but I was just too full to try everything because they had so much . Just $5.00 more you can have bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary. The service was great. The ambiance is so pretty. The weather was rainy but still lovely. I enjoyed myself.

The ambience was nice, and the customer service was attentive, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the food missed the mark for me. While the presentation was decent, the flavors fell flat. The steak lacked the bold, savory flavor you expect, and the imperial sauce was disappointing. The noticeable standout was the seafood risotto that accompanied the Chilean Sea-bass, but the sauce peppers did nothing to enhance the flavor of the dish. We also ordered the bacon-wrapped shrimp and scallops, which were cooked perfectly; however, the small dollop of lukewarm barbecue sauce felt like an afterthought. I found myself wondering why the dish wasn't broiled or cooked with the sauce to help lock in more flavor. Overall, I'd give this experience a solid 3.5 out of 5.

I recently dined at Yellowfin Steak and Fish House in Edgewater, MD. The atmosphere was nice, the food was generally flavorful, and both the host and our waiter, Jesús, were pleasant and kind. Unfortunately, I experienced a serious food allergy issue. I informed the waiter at the start that I am allergic to shrimp and ordered the Sea Bass & Scallops. After a few bites, my throat began itching, and I discovered a large piece of shrimp in the dish, it was in the risotto. The receipt later stated that I "did not like" the dish, which was inaccurate. I immediately raised the concern, and the waiter explained that he forgot to inform the kitchen and mentioned he was new. The manager did comp the meal, which I appreciated, but my concern was never about cost--I simply wanted to eat safely and enjoy my uncle's 73rd birthday. I reordered a fish with mashed potatoes and artichokes. By the time it arrived, the rest of the table was nearly finished eating, and the fish was slightly burnt. I chose not to send it back, though the flavor was good. We ordered three appetizers, a bowl of cream of crab soup, and three entrées total, and overall the food was tasty. With that being said, food allergies must always be taken seriously, as this could have been dangerous for someone with a more severe allergy. I recommend that new servers carefully write down orders, fully learn the menu--especially allergens--or be paired with experienced staff. While the food was good, this experience has made me hesitant to return. Additionally, our reservation was not found upon arrival the host told me something like they don't see it on OpenTable.

1/2 cream of crab and 1/2 Maryland crab soup

We have been debating coming here for a while and finally made our way to Yellowfin. We went for dinner and were thoroughly impressed with view of the water. The decor was a bit dated but again the picturesque view more than made up for it. We shared the 1/2 cream of crab and 1/2 Maryland crab soup, the ribeye which was accompanied by grilled asparagus and mashed red potatoes. The soup was one of the best we've ever had. It was so flavorful and had plenty of crab. The ribeye was supposed to medium rare but it came out a little blue so we sent it back to be cooked longer. There was a gravy served under my steak. It was not bad and was seasoned well. Our waiter Josh was apologetic and friendly. He was great! The asparagus was over cooked, stringy, and lacked seasoning. The potatoes were made well but were missing salt. For our cocktails we ordered the grapefruit crush and the purple haze martini. The crush needed more alcohol and the purple haze tasted amazing. We want to visit again soon to see what else Yellowfin has to offer and will update this review when we do.

I love finding myself in new spots and being happy with everything. I celebrated a wedding anniversary here, and we didn't want a fancy place but wanted quality food, and Yellowfin fits that bill. Right on the water, it gave a romantic ambiance. Service was 10/10. I wouldn't say I like it when I forget to write down our server name, but she was attentive and informative when asked questions and suggestions, which, by the way, we're spot on. We decided to try things we usually don't go for, and boy, oh boy, did it pay off! The oysters Rockefeller Chesapeake style were delicious! I am very picky about the cream of crab, and it was full of meat; you could taste the cherry, and very flavorful. The meals were equally well-seasoned and had nice portions. The lamb chops came with 6 chops; I haven't been served that many before. I added a crab cake to my meal. It wasn't the best I have had, but it was good and meaty. In all, it was an excellent experience.

We came when the dining room was closed but were able to still enjoy a window table in the bar area. Everything was great! Both fish and veggies within our entrees tasted fresh. Will be back for the full menu and dining room experience!

On the water with great views. Happy hour specials from 4-7 are worth a trip. The Brie plate was a small wedge bathed in thin honey with cheese encrusted bread for spreading. Unique. And fruit came with it. Bartenders were attentive and service was excellent.

The waterfront location is nice but the food is mediocre. I would have been better off going to Wendy's.

They're good but you only get 4. Stuffed with shrimp, scallop and crab with imperial sauce. As for the platter, the crab cake was delicious and the scallops a close second. You get 1 crab cakes, 2 scallops, 3 shrimp and a white flaky fish called orange roughy. The was the least seasoned fish I've had in a while. You'll at minimum need to add salt. It kind of ruined the platter for me but given the price, I ate everything lol. After finishing up I ordered some hush puppies intended for later but they barely made it into the box. I highly recommend giving them a try. They're moist with pieces of corn and come with a honey cinnamon whipped butter. A nice sweet snack or dessert even. Those were $8. What sucks is they don't do any side substitutions. The platter comes with a salad, potato or fries. I didn't want the side but couldn't sub for the hush puppies. We sat outside on the deck near the water and service was better than the last time. We made it right before the vending rush- Got there around 5pm. It was packed on our way out. Bonus we got to see baby jellyfish in the dirty water lol. Spoiler alert: I had massive gastro issues shortly after :(. Which is crazy bc when I inquired about the salad and cyclosporiasis they said they didn't have it in MD. Not saying they do but something there gave me severe bubble guts. :(

Wide open view towards the Chesapeake Bay makes it a great place to enjoy a sunny afternoon. We sat out on the lowest deck nearest to the water and thoroughly enjoyed the weather and the ambiance. Now to the food. Coconut Joe's is not to be trifled with on the food. While it is a casual restaurant, the food is sold, satisfying and very good. The cream of crab soup was among the best we have ever had. It is not sickeningly thick and that is a good thing! Don't get me wrong - it is thick just not thick like paste. The flavor is rich and robust and there is LOTS of crab meat in there. This soup is not to be missed! In addition, we had the coconut shrimp and these were huge shrimp, beautifully presented, prepared and cooked. Delicious! Is Coconut Joe's serving the highest level of cuisine ever? Certainly not. But it does a surprisingly good job at casual seafood. In the final analysis, Coconut Joe's gives you a relaxing atmosphere, with great service from friendly people and food that will make you smile. I recommend Coconut Joe's for all sorts of meals from quick afternoon snacks to birthday celebrations. I really love it here!
