I appreciate that it wasn't overloaded with burger fixin's... just the necessities. The smash burger sauce was unique and made the burger feel a little more special. It was really juicy, and it had a good meat-bread ratio. Unfortunately, what makes this burger a little lackluster is the lack of texture. It's almost too greasy, and (especially from a smash style burger) I expect some gristle. The regular crinkle fries were pretty standard- well salted though. The sweet potato fries were actually pretty good as far as the sides. This is the kind of restaurant where the sides are priced separately from already $12 burgers. So, it's impossible to get a basic burger meal for less than $16-$20 depending on your side and drink. The highlight of the night was the chicken tenders actually. It's just really good fried chicken- especially paired with the Canyons Sauce. Additionally, the milkshakes were pretty great actually. The vanilla and chocolate shakes are... yum! These were super thick (but drinkable through a straw) milkshakes. Service was a quick order taking process, but a pretty slow delivery. The food is fine, and a little pricy. Given it is in a main downtown area with high foot traffic, I'd say it's worth a try if you are looking for something specific in the area.
