So everything around the convention center usually closes at five for some odd reason and after a long day, I just wanted a relaxing spot experience while this is not your typical spa. This is a nail salon with a back room that has Massage. The owner was nice enough to squeeze me in and move some things around for a last-minute massage before closing. Yelp says they close at five Google says they close at seven supposedly they close at 6:30 which means I could get a 5:30 PM Massage for an hour, which is what I really needed because my back was acting up. I was so grateful they could squeeze me in. I walked in and was treated like an old friend rather than a random customer. I was offered coffee, tea or mimosas. I received a wonderful massage from a very enthusiastic young masseuse. who did everything in her power to try to help my spots and relieve my pain. I won't be returning. My full experience is below... The owner/nail tech was cool, but I didn't like the attitude of the receptionist. 1 hour before the appointment I got a call from the shop asking me if I could come in 30 minutes later than my appointment time, which I didn't mind. Sometimes techs get behind and I purposely don't schedule anything around nail appointments for this reason. One of my biggest grievances was that the gift card system is misleading (I was only able to apply 1/2 of it to my service). Please note: If you want to use a gift card, try to talk to someone, BEFORE scheduling the appointment. I unfortunately wasn't able to connect with someone before scheduling even after more than one attempt to call the business number, with no answer each attempt. I decided to proceed with the appointment anyway, so that's on me. The amount I was charged was inconsistent with the website (charged $85 for a full set hard gel, but the website says $80)--photo attached. I could have been pressed, at payment, over the $5 discrepancy but I just paid and got out of there. It's just the principle. ***As a business owner myself I understand the uptick in prices over time, but the inconsistency from the price on the website needs to be corrected. Lastly, my set looks old after only 3 days. Got them done NYE, writing this review on 1/3/23--photo attached. The best part of the experience was the brief conversation with the owner while she was doing my nails...but that's not enough for me to return. I respect and understand that others have had good experiences but I unfortunately did not. EDIT (1/8/23): I am updating my review after the owner of Adara Spa personally reached out to me not long after my review. She clarified and validated my main concerns. I paid a 50% deposit to hold my massage appointment time via phone and the rest was due after the service. When I arrived to Adara Spa, a staff member confirmed my appointment and personally walked me next door to where the massage therapy takes place. My masseuse was kind and professional and made sure to ask about which spots might need special attention or might have sensitivity and need to be avoided. She used appropriate pressure and was adequately communicative during the service. At the end I felt very relaxed! I would visit here again and would suggest it for others too! Instead of the business owner professionally contacting me to resolve, she decides to provide a breakdown for me via this app attempting to save face or make it as if there was no error on her part. The overall package of my bill was $183. I provided a 50% deposit and paid the remaining $106. There was no need to discuss the bill further because I was supposed to be charged $106 however MY BANK CARD WAS CHARGED $166!! Very unprofessional resolve of issue! read more

Oh I LOVE Adara! I go for highlights, haircuts, eyebrow tinting and eyebrow waxing. Selena does an amazing job on my hair and she is absolutely meticulous! Sunny is sooo nice (the owner) and it's relaxing hanging out in a smaller salon. My husband actually goes to the same salon for services and loves it as well. So highly recommend for both ladies and men. The only negative I have is that the type of manicure they provide does not adhere well to my nails so I cannot recommend that service just based on personal experience. read more

Just enjoyed a fabulous facial by Leah! She truly did listen to my concerns and offer advice on what I should do with my skin dilemma. What I'm most pleased with is her knowledge, my skin can sometimes overwhelm estheticians, her calm manor and RESTRAINT to not over do it my first session let know she's a tenured service provider. I would highly recommend her and I had a sample of her massage skills which are fierce so I will be back with my bf to get some massages first of the year! From the mimosa offered upon arrival to the masseuse asking a lot of questions & doing a fabulous job, this was a great experience. All though the services were good. I truly enjoyed Rosa, my nails look great. The massage and facial were ok. However, I must be very honest, I was expecting a DAY SPA... the relaxing quite atmosphere, the room where you sit, sip green tea as you wait for your services, in comfy rob and slippers... Instead, Adara Spa is a Nail Salon that offers massages, facials, and other services. I was greeted by the owner's dog (who brings their dog to place that offers public services). I don't do dogs and listen to the dog bark while getting my massage was not relaxing. I needed to reschedule my appt and ASKED if they had time on the day I needed but was willing to keep my original appt... I was there would not an issue, three phone calls, many text messages and about 3 changes, they finally got me scheduled. Granted they claim they were trying to accommodate me however, I ASKED but was willing to keep my original schedule. Jay was nice and tried to make sure my visit was nice but I left Adara more stressed than I was when I arrived... Last thing... I paid a deposit when I set the appointment, however, when I was checking out, they had no record of my deposit. My credit card was on file but no deposit... I refused to pay more than the balance owed... Later I received a phone asking me provide proof that I paid the deposit. ..smh... Worst experience ever... However if Rosa ever goes anywhere else to do nails, I would go to her. read more

My husband now (fiance then) found this for me and surprised me with a facial with Leah. She was AMAZING!! She is very friendly, makes you comfortable, listens to you which is just SUPER! She also gives great recommendations base don your skin type. I did both the love your skin and O2 facial. It was a lovely soothing experience. First time here for a couples massage, facial, mani, pedi. Had specifically requested a swedish massage via online paperwork, and reiterated request of a VERY gentle massage (even less than swedish) upon start of massage. Having arthritis the last thing I wanted was elbows and forearms used on me. She told me this was her version of a swedish massage. It was mostly elbows and forearms and so was not relaxing in the least, especially when she tried to move my arm so hand would rest on my back, as my shoulder is sensitive and this was not what I requested to her. My friend had same experience of massage that was just to rough. Facial was fine and relaxing. Mani pedi was fine/standard as well. My gel manicure lasted 6 days before 2 nails chipped & broke. The staff and owner are the bright spot here and would be thrilled to attend a first night event at the salon. They truly are a delight! read more

Really poor experience. I booked on class pack and after driving to the other side of town they said they didn't have a reservation. I had only booked a 30 minutes massage and they offered a 60 minute massage if I came back the next week which I why I didn't just cancel. I arrived less than 10 minutes late, yet somehow my massage was only 40 minutes. When I arrived they suggested I use the restroom and change but I had no notice my massage would be shortened. When I expressed this issue to the massage therapist she did nothing to help. I contacted the manager and she said they schedule an extra 15 minutes for changing and consultation time, but my appointment started at 1:15 and it ended at 2:15 on the dot even if I had been there on time my massage would not have been 60 minutes with changing and consultation time. The massage therapist was just okay and seemed annoyed if I asked her to change pressure. The spa did not exude luxury at all. It was just okay. They are way overpriced for the lackluster experience. I don't typically write reviews, but save your money! Not worth it at all. The parking situation also sucks. read more
