    Paneer Tikka

Unapologetic Foods has once again knocked it out of the park -- love the ambiance and concept, especially the Pickle Cart and fresh Chaat. Every dish was delicious, especially the Paneer Tikka and Fish Curry. I can't wait to come back!

Snagged a reservation here during Fourth of July weekend and it did not disappoint! The food was insanely delicious, we had the curry leaf crab and the paneer - both 10/10. They also had different chutneys for us to try (which were good but not great), and a surprise dessert from the chef (also a 10/10). Would definitely come back to try more on the menu or their butter chicken experience !

I love what this restaurant and the group as a whole are trying to do, and I love that Indian food is getting more of a spotlight in New York. Unfortunately, I didn't love my experience here. Chutney Trio - cool concept. These are basically three shot sized drinks paired with some achaar on papad. The tamarind chutney is paired with a light and clarified-tasting drink, the mango gets a more intense and almost smoky drink, and the onion gets a boozy and slightly bitter drink. The first two pairings worked very well, especially the mango. The onion didn't land as perfectly, but wasn't bad. It's an expensive option at $32. For my entree, I had the subz dhungar biryani. The flavors are nice, with mild spice and some veggies and paneer paired with slightly smoky rice. I was hoping for something as memorable as the discontinued morel biryani from Dhamaka, but this biryani was just fine. Unfortunately not worth the $40 price tag. I also had the dal on the side, which was also pretty standard ($9). After tax and tip, my meal came to $103. It was simply too expensive. If you're vegetarian, I feel the price is unjustifiable for the decent, but unmemorable dishes. It seems the vegetarian dishes are secondary to the meat ones here. It's a nice and beautifully decorated space. I walked in and was seated at the bar after a 45 minute wait. Though I wouldn't do this, instead I'd recommend trying to get a reservation for the butter chicken experience to have a better chance at a special meal.

I thought the new menu would be more creative since this new location opened so I went to give it a try. But the portion for the sea bass was absurdly small for $42, it was only 6 small pieces of the filet. The biryani was also not particularly special and didn't have much gost in it either. The only dish that was really good was the braised short rib. The sauce was excellent and nicely seasoned with a little bit of spice and the short ribs fell apart with no effort which is how they should be for braising. Also, they're selling additional side dishes for $7 which sort of felt not worth it and the potato 1 I tried was just ok. I'm not sure when I'd go back again if it weren't for the short rib.

My friend was able to snag a reservation for us here! I arrived 5 minutes early but was seated immediately. I was excited to try this place out because I haven't really had much Indian food before. We ordered: - 1 BABY GOAT BIRYANI $46.00: I liked this a lot. Generous portion! We got side of yogurt too (sorry I don't know what's it's called). - 1 PANEER KHURCHAN $36.00: Our server said this was very popular. I liked the sauce a lot! It was kinda spicy but the yogurt helped balance it out. - 2 PARATHA $10.00: $5 for some pita is kinda overpriced in my opinion. - 1 CURRY LEAF CRAB $36.00: this was really good and one of my favorite things I ate all night. Our server said this sells out every night. Very flavorful and not spicy. - 1 Kulfi $7.50: I'm sorry but $7.50 for one tiny popsicle is criminal lol. Service was good and vibes overall were good. Prices were steep in my opinion, but I'm happy I got to experience elevated Indian food. Our server urged us to get more apps/starters but it was so much food and we both took home leftovers.

Butter chicken experience was cool! It is a lot of heavy food so very filling. It also comes with unlimited paratha, rice and black dal. Someone came around with the chaat options available, we tried both. One aloo chaat and one Chana chaat thing. Aloo chaat had kurkure on top and it was really good. The Chana one was basically just dry mixture. The aam sutra cocktail was amazing. Raita cocktail wasn't great. Lamb parcha app was actually my favorite. Really tender and flavorful. The tiger prawn was huge but ok. We picked the chili butter as the main butter type for butter chicken experience and you can choose a second butter for yourself. I didn't like the tomato pickly butter I picked for myself, the fenugreek butter was best and had the more traditional taste

Another incredible visit -- I'm still convinced this might be their best restaurant. Particular standouts were the lukhmi, curry leaf crab, pork fry (although too spicy for my wife), and the roti aur boti, which is one of the best dishes I've eaten this year.

We visited nyc for a weekend trip and had a reservation for Adda Ridge from the entry it felt like a cozy non pretentious place! Special and huge shout out to our server - Swayam! Swayam, you rock! His suggestions and attitude make him stand out as a server! Now on to the food Lamb parcha 4/5 and spicy Kofta 5/5 and pretty spicy Raita - so rich and creamy 5/5 Cocktails - please reduce the size of your ice cubes and give people more to drink. It felt like the cocktail was gone in two sips! Kulfi was in the house as I couldn't handle the spice lol we loved its presentation and mawa flavor I want to go back again to check out other menu items

Before I talk about how amazing the food was, I want to mention the AMAZING staff. Everyone was so kind, so friendly, and beyond welcoming. It has been one of the most special and enjoyable experiences I've ever had dining at a restaurant. Everyone there deserves a shoutout and it made the restaurant such a warm and cozy place to be. The vibes are so good and the decor is so cute. The food was so delicious and I would definitely go back for more. I will name just some of my favorites but the whole menu was so good. 1. Butter chicken experience (20/10) if you can snag a reservation (opens at 9 am) then it is so enjoyable. They explain all the steps, the food is made in front of you and you get to experience the whole process with choices that you make. The chef was amazing and kind and the food was so delicious. The prices were also so good because it came with unlimited daal, rice and parota. 2. Small apps are walked around and you can choose one of those for a low cost. 3. Paneer with grilled pineapple was a great way to start, grilled perfectly and the paneer is so smooth and it comes with a delicious sauce 4. Kulfi that is dipped at the table is such a refreshing way to end dinner Overall, this place is amazing and if I lived closer I would be there everyday.

Couldn't get a reservation at Semma for our New York trip, but managed to score one at Adda and it did not disappoint! It was super chilly when we visited, but the restaurant was nice and warm. The food was packed with flavor and the chaat was also a 10/10. Love the lamb parcha so much!

Really delicious Indian food. Goat biryani & paneer khurchan was the perfect amount of food for two people. Lovely atmosphere as well

We were fortunate enough to score a Butter Chicken Experience reservation and dined on a recent Saturday evening. Adda is a nicely appointed restaurant with a lively and inviting vibe. The service throughout our meal from the sous chef was truly impeccable. He took the time to explain each stage of the cooking process and answered our questions. I wasn't sure if the Butter Chicken Experience would be enough food, but I would say that for many it would be enough. They offered to bring more rice and bread complimentary which was nice. Lamb parcha ($25)- the lamb was tender and sliced, it was cooked in a saffron-cashew sauce and topped with lamb butter. The flatbread had a nice char. Butter chicken experience ($42 per person)- the butter chicken experience was a fun table side event. They ask what wood you'd like the chicken smoked with, what spice level you'd like, then offer you three flavored butters to cook the chicken with and then prepare the sauce and finish the chicken for you to watch. I will say that this butter chicken had a different flavor profile than most butter chicken dishes I've had in NYC. It was more spiced and flavorful. It wasn't my favorite, to be honest, but the experience was something special and worthwhile. I really enjoyed the daal and bread. I look forward to returning to Adda to try other menu items!

Adda was the best meal I've had in New York in a long time. We had the stewed lamb, the chicken kofta, the paneer, the bheja, the prawn, the chaat, as well as a couple drinks. Everything was truly, without exception, amazing. The paneer was definitely the best I've ever had - it was clear it was made in-house. The prawn was delicious as well. Truly there were no misses whatsoever. I definitely plan on returning, huge fan!

So Annapurna Bhavan had my curiosity before I even walked in. The ambience was good. They don't take reservations, but we were seated as soon as we walked in. Sadly, the food didn't quite deliver. THE GOOD The dosas were well-made and honestly the highlight of the meal. Crispy, properly thin, no complaints there. THE NOT-SO-GOOD Ordered a Rose Milk. Got a rose lassi. These are two completely different things -- rose milk is a light, chilled milk drink; lassi is a yogurt-based beverage. Not a small mix-up if you know South Indian cuisine. The dahi vada was a letdown. It hadn't been soaked in yogurt nearly long enough -- the vadas were still firm, which defeats the whole purpose of the dish. Authentic dahi vada should be pillowy soft. A lot of the menu leans heavily Americanized. The oothappam topped with cheese and jalapeño is a prime example -- it's more Tex-Mex than Tamil Nadu. Fusion is fine, but don't call it traditional. BOTTOM LINE If you're in the neighborhood and craving something South Indian-adjacent, it's convenient and the dosas will do the job. But if you're someone who grew up eating this food and wants the real thing -- you'll probably leave a little disappointed. The location is great; the authenticity needs work.

After an hour of waiting for our food, the three tables around us who arrived after us already got their food and were nearly done with their meal. Before leaving, we confront the owner about the inconsistencies in his story, but he just double downs on his lie, alleging that we don't understand how a restaurant is run. For some reason, he even started to yell at the busgirl who was trying to get him to apologize? In addition to holding us hostage for an hour and continued lying, he tries to make the racist point that Indian food is more sophisticated and takes longer to prepare than other types of Asian food. I feel there are certain standards in the NYC service industry given the competition, and this was a confusing and unacceptable experience. The food was admittedly good, but not good enough for them to have the attitude they had.
