NAGALAND PORK FRY WAS AMAZING. Everything was good but MAN that is one of those dishes you want to eat every single day until your sick of it so that way you can finally get it off your mind. LOVED this place and can't wait to return.

Amazing all around experience. Managed to snag a Sunday reservation using the "notify me" option on Resy. Had a drink at the bar prior to being seated the Samurai's Patiala (old fashioned) was top tier. For food we started with the Jackfruit Lukmi, Bhatti di murgh, prawn reachado. Each of these dishes were delicious and we'd order again. For entrees, (and we overdid it) we ordered the lamb shank korma and the wagyu bihari kebab. The lamb korma was so tender and the sauce was amazing. The bihari kebab was likewise super moist, juicy and had the right amount of heat. Overall a fantastic meal and would highly recommend. Service was also top tier!

the thing about adda is that their apps are better than their mains, the apps truly blew me away but the mains were disappointing, so i would say fill your plate up with a lot of first courses! the food: crab & prawns were my favorite for their savory and complex flavors. the paneer was a little on the blander side. mains we got the chicken mappas and goat biryani, the mappas was good but nothing special and the biryani potion was quite large! the space: bigger than you'd expect with a large back room. the service: good!

Was hearing about this Butter Chicken experience all over IG , so decided to check it out. Come to find out , that's a separate reservation and they only do 2 of those per night. It's okay , it happens and false advertising. But no Butter Chicken on the menu was crazy , only way to get butter chicken is through the experience blew my mind , I was over this place. I took a friend for her bday and she loves butter chicken, this was truly mind blowing. Indian Restaurant not serving butter chicken ?! We tried other dishes the food was great , on the spicier side. Highlight was the dessert sad to say. The kulfi were amazing.

Adda delivers one of the more refined Indian dining experiences in NYC without losing the bold flavors that make Indian food so memorable. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal. One of the highlights was the tableside chaat service, which added a fun, interactive touch while showcasing fresh, vibrant flavors. The food was solid across the board. Adda strikes a decent balance between elevated dining and comforting regional Indian cuisine.

Snagged a reservation here during Fourth of July weekend and it did not disappoint! The food was insanely delicious, we had the curry leaf crab and the paneer - both 10/10. They also had different chutneys for us to try (which were good but not great), and a surprise dessert from the chef (also a 10/10). Would definitely come back to try more on the menu or their butter chicken experience !

I love what this restaurant and the group as a whole are trying to do, and I love that Indian food is getting more of a spotlight in New York. Unfortunately, I didn't love my experience here. Chutney Trio - cool concept. These are basically three shot sized drinks paired with some achaar on papad. The tamarind chutney is paired with a light and clarified-tasting drink, the mango gets a more intense and almost smoky drink, and the onion gets a boozy and slightly bitter drink. The first two pairings worked very well, especially the mango. The onion didn't land as perfectly, but wasn't bad. It's an expensive option at $32. For my entree, I had the subz dhungar biryani. The flavors are nice, with mild spice and some veggies and paneer paired with slightly smoky rice. I was hoping for something as memorable as the discontinued morel biryani from Dhamaka, but this biryani was just fine. Unfortunately not worth the $40 price tag. I also had the dal on the side, which was also pretty standard ($9). After tax and tip, my meal came to $103. It was simply too expensive. If you're vegetarian, I feel the price is unjustifiable for the decent, but unmemorable dishes. It seems the vegetarian dishes are secondary to the meat ones here. It's a nice and beautifully decorated space. I walked in and was seated at the bar after a 45 minute wait. Though I wouldn't do this, instead I'd recommend trying to get a reservation for the butter chicken experience to have a better chance at a special meal.

Unapologetic Foods has once again knocked it out of the park -- love the ambiance and concept, especially the Pickle Cart and fresh Chaat. Every dish was delicious, especially the Paneer Tikka and Fish Curry. I can't wait to come back!

Adda Restaurant is wonderful looking with fixtures made from natural materials and I actually loved the decor of the...restroom! And the service was stupendous! Between having custom made dishes right in front of you to our extremely knowledgeable and wonderful server, Adda gets an A+ on ambiance and decor. Now with regards to the food, I felt that more choices should have been available. Me, my daughter, Muff and my sister, Luch ordered the Prawn Recheado, Lamb Parcha, Nagaland Pork Fry and a dish made tableside. The prawns were HUGE! Seriously, a person could have eaten just one Prawn and some rice and they would have been completely satisfied with their meal. Additionally, the lamb in the Lamb Parcha was delicious and succulent. Served with little fluffy bread slices, they were quite tasty. With regards to the Nagaland pork dish, I was significantly warned about the spiciness of the dish and I didn't have a problem with the level of spiciness. I had a problem with the variety of spices used in the dish. (I know that folks are going to question that assertion, especially in an Indian restaurant, but hear me. ) Everything came out overwhelming vinegery and tart. I tasted the heat and sourness in the dish and not much else. I was disappointed with the dish and the overall lack of selections. I'll definitely try the restaurant again, but next time we're going for Butter Chicken Experience.

Butter chicken experience was cool! It is a lot of heavy food so very filling. It also comes with unlimited paratha, rice and black dal. Someone came around with the chaat options available, we tried both. One aloo chaat and one Chana chaat thing. Aloo chaat had kurkure on top and it was really good. The Chana one was basically just dry mixture. The aam sutra cocktail was amazing. Raita cocktail wasn't great. Lamb parcha app was actually my favorite. Really tender and flavorful. The tiger prawn was huge but ok. We picked the chili butter as the main butter type for butter chicken experience and you can choose a second butter for yourself. I didn't like the tomato pickly butter I picked for myself, the fenugreek butter was best and had the more traditional taste

I thought the new menu would be more creative since this new location opened so I went to give it a try. But the portion for the sea bass was absurdly small for $42, it was only 6 small pieces of the filet. The biryani was also not particularly special and didn't have much gost in it either. The only dish that was really good was the braised short rib. The sauce was excellent and nicely seasoned with a little bit of spice and the short ribs fell apart with no effort which is how they should be for braising. Also, they're selling additional side dishes for $7 which sort of felt not worth it and the potato 1 I tried was just ok. I'm not sure when I'd go back again if it weren't for the short rib.

My friend was able to snag a reservation for us here! I arrived 5 minutes early but was seated immediately. I was excited to try this place out because I haven't really had much Indian food before. We ordered: - 1 BABY GOAT BIRYANI $46.00: I liked this a lot. Generous portion! We got side of yogurt too (sorry I don't know what's it's called). - 1 PANEER KHURCHAN $36.00: Our server said this was very popular. I liked the sauce a lot! It was kinda spicy but the yogurt helped balance it out. - 2 PARATHA $10.00: $5 for some pita is kinda overpriced in my opinion. - 1 CURRY LEAF CRAB $36.00: this was really good and one of my favorite things I ate all night. Our server said this sells out every night. Very flavorful and not spicy. - 1 Kulfi $7.50: I'm sorry but $7.50 for one tiny popsicle is criminal lol. Service was good and vibes overall were good. Prices were steep in my opinion, but I'm happy I got to experience elevated Indian food. Our server urged us to get more apps/starters but it was so much food and we both took home leftovers.

We visited nyc for a weekend trip and had a reservation for Adda Ridge from the entry it felt like a cozy non pretentious place! Special and huge shout out to our server - Swayam! Swayam, you rock! His suggestions and attitude make him stand out as a server! Now on to the food Lamb parcha 4/5 and spicy Kofta 5/5 and pretty spicy Raita - so rich and creamy 5/5 Cocktails - please reduce the size of your ice cubes and give people more to drink. It felt like the cocktail was gone in two sips! Kulfi was in the house as I couldn't handle the spice lol we loved its presentation and mawa flavor I want to go back again to check out other menu items

However, sometimes you just take a chance and pray it lives up to the hype. Having a short period of time before our show at Radio City Music Hall, two of us shared a quick bite here after a few snacks on the nearby street fair. Just one order of Chicken Tikka Marsala, Garlic Naan, and a Mango Lassi. I'm actually not a big fan of Chicken Tikka Marsala because it's often too sweet and creamy for me. Though the chicken was overcooked, I did find this version quite differernt, in a good way. It had depth, and definitely a lot of heat, even on the medium level, the spiciness was very noticeable. My dining partner would have died without that Mango Lassi, which was yummy. Lmao On the other hand, the Garlic Naan was horrible. Instead of being a pillowy soft bread with some chew, it was stiff and cardboard-ish. This is one of the worst versions I had in NYC. Not sure how this major blunder can be overlooked. Naan is such an important part of Indian food culture, I can't believe they haven't realize that they need to fix this matter. Btw, service was efficient, almost too efficient that it felt rushed. One minute after we were seated, we were asked if ready to order. Again, we were asked literally one minute later. Then, just as we were finishing our meal, and while I'm still chewing my final bite of food, the bus boy cane to take our plates away. I was technically done, but would have like to have had a minute. Finally, without asking about desserts, another server came by with our check as if to say, "Please pay and make room for the next guests." I know we wanted a quick meal, but never thought we would be in and out of a situation down restaurant in less than 30 minutes. Hahaha Anyway, I live in Queens where we have same quality Indian restaurants at a much lower price point. Portions are bigger too. For me, this is an attempt at finding a gem that everyone seems to suggest. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to return to an Indian restaurant knowing they can't properly make naan.

Because of its location, it may appear unassuming and underrated, but the food is bold, spicy, flavorful, and packed full of rich cultural elegance. On my first visit, I was able to try a few different dishes, both veg and non-veg, as well as one of their signature cocktails. We ordered to start the Kale Pakora Chaat (fried kale, tamarind chutney, with a sweet yogurt) and it was perfectly crispy, flaky, and delicious. Next, for main dish we ordered the Paneer Methi (fried paneer in a fenugreek and tomato blend) and I honestly can never complain when it comes to any paneer dish and I have to say this one was absolutely no exception. The paneer was so soft and tasty with the sauce and other spices that I couldn't help but feel like I was eating a home cooked meal. Lastly, I ordered the Shami kebab because I wanted to try a non veg dish. This item consists of lamb, minced and blackened, paired with a green chili sauce with mint. I have to say this was a complete miss for me; the lamb was so dry and mealy I couldn't finish it at all, on top of that it had too many spices and was a bit salty in my opinion so I needed a lot of water. I would seriously consider altering this dish before keeping it on the menu in its current state or removing it completely. If you're thinking of ordering this, I wouldn't recommend it as I'm sure they have other protein dishes on their menu that are far better. I'm looking forward to trying some of the others the next time I go. Lastly for cocktails, we ordered the Monsoon wedding (Indian gin, lychee, curry leaf, and lime). I thought the cocktail was alright, it didn't stand out too much to me as it was a fairly decent lychee drink that had a slightly muted flavor. I've noticed that Indian restaraunts often struggle to make good cocktails because too often they rely on mixing things that shouldn't really be mixed and adding unnecessary ingredients. Overall though, the time spent there was worth it and I appreciate that it's relatively easier to get a reservation here than at some of the other Indian spots in New York currently. Based on my experience, Dhamaka should be considered highly rated on that list.
