Butter Lamb (House Specialty) Shahi Chicken Korma (House Speciality) Goan Fish Curry

Absolutely incredible experience. The food was some of the best I've ever had, the atmosphere was very chill, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants, but this one is probably my favorite. I will come back to this place again and again.

The food, the portions and the staff here are amazing!! We got a few dishes to share and we had a good amount of leftovers. We got the giant samosa, the rara bhuna lamb, the aloo saag, roti and a side of rice. The lamb dish was not my favorite but everything else was delicious. What I would say tho is that they charge $9 for the side of rice which I feel is a rip off.

My wife and I came here as we were craving Indian food for a date night. We came on time and were immediately seated on the street which had a cool vibe. The place was not too packed so we were able to place our order quickly with our friendly server. We ordered 2 giant vegetarian samosas, rara bhuna lamb, aloo saag, roti and a side of rice. The lamb dish was covered with delicious spices and sauce which was unique and tasty. Our favorite dish was the aloo saag which is potatoes and spinach. We thought everything was great but the prices for spinach/potatoes ($21) and rice ($9) were so pricey!

We've been looking for a new casual, small spot to get authentic Indian food. I stumbled across this place on Yelp and my fellow reviewers did not lead me astray!! Staff were warm and friendly and full of recommendations based on our preferences. We ordered mostly house specialties: the Methi Paneer Malai Toast, Dal Frontier, Rajasthani Goat Curry, Garlic Shrimp Bhuna, along with some garlic naan. Everything was delicious, complex and so flavorful! Thick, rich sauces and quality proteins. Honestly, I hardly ever order shrimp out without it coming recommended by someone I trust...but after listening to the owner talk about the restaurants commitment to quality ingredients, I decided to take a chance. No regrets about anything we ordered. I just wish we had come with a larger group to try more! We did find the ambiance a little strange. They had projectors with solar systems on the ceilings. I also agree with another reviewer about the napkin and silverware situation. Both are in desperate need of an upgrade. But the food and service outshine any negatives. Highly recommend giving them a try!! Oh, they do charge a credit card fee. It wasn't advertised anywhere that I saw and I would've preferred to know beforehand. I wasn't too surprised given it appears that's what everyone is doing.

This has quickly become one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the city. The food is delicious and the restaurant has a cool ambiance with the projected visuals on the ceiling. Bhel puri - full of flavor from the different chutneys and crunchy texture from sev, nuts, and the other mix-ins. Paneer tikka - standard, but still good. Methi Malai toast - kind of blew my mind. The paneer is in large, grilled slabs (the "toast"), and the sauce is creamy and fragrant from the fenugreek leaves. This dish was super unique, and I really enjoyed it. Bhindi masala - another hit. There was a subtle tartness (maybe from dried mango?) that stacked on top of the tomato to give the dish a complex flavor. The okra was cooked to perfection - not overly soft even though it wasn't fried. Dal frontier - hearty and a nice compromise between black dal and yellow dal. Butter chicken - I didn't try this dish, but my family loved it. Mint paratha - crispy, flaky, and subtle mint flavor. This was great with any of the dishes. Butter naan - fluffy and not dry in the least bit. Mango lassi - really delicious. There was a distinct taste of fresh yogurt, even though the drink came from a can. The can itself is nice, transparent to show the orange color of the drink through. Masala chai - also quite good. The meal came to about $200 with tax and tip. This would ordinarily be expensive for four adults and one small child, but we definitely ordered way too much - we ended up with three dishes and some naan in leftovers. Definitely give this place a try.

This place is tiny but so cozy!! Service is attentive but not meddlesome. Prices are reasonable. Portions are large. Most importantly the food is delicious!! We got the cauliflower appetizer, the lamb chops, garden salad and the first lamb entree. Also got a basket of pappadum. The salad was very fresh and big enough for two. The dressing was a tad sweet for my taste. Both lamb dishes were to die for and the portions were large. The cauliflower was so yummy- reminded me of a sweet and sour dish. we will definitely be back!!!!

    Spinach Chaat, Paneer Chili Dry

So very tasty! I really loved the apps, the chili paneer had just the right amount of spice. The spinach chaat was crunchy and topped perfectly with yogurt and tamarind chutney. Good portion sizes.

My friend has a new found interest in Indian food which was perfect for me since I have been craving Indian food. We wanted something authentic so of course we turned to Yelp and which eventually led us to Red Onion. The restaurant was small and quaint. Most of the tables were for 1-4 people but we did see one large table towards the back for larger parties. The menu was a lot bigger than we were expecting and we saw a lot of items that we've never heard of before. So we decided to order one familiar dish- chicken tikki masala and one new dish- chicken xacuti. Both of them were delicious. I loved the xacuti but my friends loved the tikki masala. My favorite dish of the night was the samosa chat. It was like a deconstructed samosa with chickpeas and potatoes. The two entrees were quite spicy so remember to take that into consideration. We also in ordered the onion nan and garlic nan. The onion nan was more soft and pillowy whilst the garlic nana was more crispy and fragrant. Can't go wrong with either. I'm already making arrangements to come again!

A solid spot for Indian eats that cured my cravings -- it's a relatively small restaurant, so we had to wait ~10 min for a walk-in seat... but it was worth the wait. The tikkas were great, Salmon portion was very large and Paneer was well-spiced. The Malai Methi Paneer was fire, super unique and my favorite dish. I'll definitely be back!

Garlic Naan, Onion Naan, Mango Lassi, Butter Lamb (House Specialty), Rara Bhuna Goat (House Speciality)

Everything about this place was amazing, from the service, to the ambiance, to the food! Delicious complex flavors. They even gave us complimentary mango lassi, SO good!

They've passed that torch to their sister restaurant, Adda. Not only has their menu changed, but so has the staff. And it doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, but in this case, it was. We were recently served by someone who admitted himself that he's only been there for a week. No big deal. Except our first dish took 30 minutes to arrive. Meanwhile the folks to the left and right of us kept getting their food and they ordered after us. When we were done with our first and only dish, I asked our waiter where the rest of the food was, only to find out he didn't fire any of it because he was waiting for us to completely finish. The service was not good. And the food is not nearly as fun and delicious as it used to be. I don't know if I'll be coming back to Dhamaka anymore.
