Six friends and I had lunch at Adela's today. We all loved it! The building is roomy, clean and well appointed. The food was amazing! Everything was fresh and delicious. They have a huge menu with most lunches $6.50 or under. We were seated immediately and treated like royalty by our server and the manager! I can't wait to return to Adela's! read more

Worst place to go get a bite. The service sucks came here Thursday after 6pm. Got checked in at 7:10pm it's 7:52 the waiter still has not brought us water nor chips. Five other families that came in after us got seated and got served all of their beverages and chips while I'm still waiting over 30 min for some water. Very bad service for a place that is new to Lancaster to be surprised to wait 25 minutes for water. Very disappointed and will never return left a very nasty taste. Not to mention very hot and all 6 fans are off. No AC no fans you'll be sweating while eating or in my case just waiting. Owner change the way you do things because soon it'll become like every other bad restaurant!! read more

We eat at Adela's at least once a week because we LOVE it! Every day we pass by my little ones get excited because they want to go eat there...it's where they beg to eat when given options! We've recently been introduced to Adela's Dip which is a great upgraded version of queso...TRY IT if you haven't! It's AHH-MAZING! I'm pretty consistent with my ordering. I love that the waitresses know exactly what I want...Street Tacos with all of the toppings! Service is great and quick! Everyone is always happy and smiling! Tonight we waited an hour and 15 minutes after ordering our dinner before we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. As we were getting out cash to cover our drinks, the manager shows up and says he's checking on our food. He left the kitchen and didn't come back to the table, so we got up to leave. After multiple visits to this restaurant, me and my mother have had great experiences. My mom thinks the food is decent but not anything great, but I think the food is absolutely amazing. in my last visit, the waiters and staff were on it at all times, and didn't waste any time. There has only been 1 minor mixup we've noticed while there. read more

We ordered the Tres Generations with cheese and bacon on our steak to split and a margarita tonight. The description of the Tres Generations on the menu stated a whole chicken breast, a ribeye steak, and shrimp. The margarita was served 30 minutes after we ordered it and our food still wasn't served. We received our food and the food on our platter was a slim piece of chicken, a cut of skirt steak, and 6 shrimp. They forgot to put the bacon and cheese on our steak so they brought it out in small cups later after we finished our food and still charged us for them. The manager brought us another small piece of chicken but it still wasn't enough to piece together a whole chicken breast. Bad service from the bar and advertising on their menu has driven us to refuse to visit Adela's again in the future. read more

Adela's Mexican Kitchen - Mexican Near Me - Lancaster, South Carolina

We called in our order for pick up. Firstly, there's not an accurate online order with prices for their waxhaw location. So we ordered using the Lancaster menu and almost a $5 price increase on everything. Secondly, the person who took the order didn't take down the order correctly and I had to keep repeating my order back to her so knowledge of their menu and customer communication wasn't there it was confusing and frustrating. Our $30 or so order was now an over $50 order due to the price difference and her not understanding. Before we ended the call I asked her to repeat back my order and it wasn't in the order I told her 5+ times. So I was totally confused so I read her my order from top to bottom and she said yes that's what she had. Next we picked up our food they explained the price difference and gave us a to-go menu for future reference. Got home with the food we had a whole extra combo meal on the paid ticket but it was missing its rice and beans. And we ordered soft tacos with certain toppings that were all wrong. The food we did get though was really good. That's what my 3 stars are for. We'll be waiting to go back when they're a little more established hopefully time will help. read more

Service was terrible! We got a table & let the waiter know 2 more people would join us. He brought 3 sets of utensils. Should've taken that as a sign. Had to ask 4 times for water. We asked prices on beer & margaritas & ordered. The pitcher was FULL of ice & couldn't taste the tequila. For a $25 pitcher I expected to at least get a little buzz. We did at least get it quickly. About 10 more minutes passed & we had to ask the manager to get the beers. Found out the waiter didn't order them. When bill came the pitcher of margaritas was $3 more & the beer was $1.50 more. It was a Thursday & not busy. There was no excuse. The food was more Tex-Mex & fairly bland. We considered it pricey for the fare. Plates $11 - $25. It was clean though. The place is fairly new. Maybe they'll get better but they won't get our business again. read more

Never again! First my margarita had no alcohol in it. I said something to the waiter and he disagreed. Never tried to make it right. My Daughter tried it and agreed it was just pure Margarita mix and no alcohol! Second, they tell my daughter they're out of Diet Coke after she asked for a refill. Third, my daughter asked for fried ice cream and was told they were out of that too! No surprise there. Then they serve us the Tres Leches as a small end piece with no cherry on it. After we just saw a waitress serve 2 large slices with cherries to a table next to us! I explained that to the waiter and he was like "oh well!" Really? Like you can't go to the bar and throw a cherry on it? First and last time we go there. read more

At Myrtle Beech on vacation. We came across Adele's Mexican kitchen. We decided to eat here and we have found that this restaurant is amazing. The staff here, are very pleasant to talk to, and the food is absolutely delicious. Cant say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend it. Place is very clean and friendly. Fresh ingredients, very clean environment and outstanding service. I have no idea where the negative reviews came from. Adela's is incredible. The low prices and huge portions put it over the top and make it outstanding in my book. we had the carnitas (will get them shredded in the future), the chicken quesadilla and a smothered chicken dish. Everything was tender, juicy and fresh. We needed to add salt to almost everything - but I appreciate a low salt dish much more than something that's over seasoned. Very disappointed that none of the hostess or servers were wearing masks and did not feel there was any social distancing. I was very uncomfortable dining here. The food was nothing special. The beans and rice had no flavor. The server we had was very inexperienced. Did not know the ounce sizes of the beer. Also seemed confused when we asked for hot sauce! Again...she had no mask. Many Locals love this place and it is still new and exciting. Unfortunately for them, I cook Mexican food regularly. This was not up to par for me however they offer items other Mexican restaurants in the area do not offer and vice versa. Just depends what you are looking for. read more

Everytime I order there and get an email confirmation that my order will be ready for pick 20 mins later. I arrive at the scheduled pick up time and end up waiting an additional 25 minutes on our order. Food order is always wrong and I have to send something back or they forgot something, never fails. They forgot the taco sauce as i requested on the order and they hostess brings me salsa for the chips, i advised this was not the normal taco sauce that we get for the street tacos and she proceeded to argue with me. We will not be back. Food is medocar. Dont waste your money or time because none of the managers or staff give a crap. read more
