We were looking for a nice restaurant that was having a costume contest and decided on Adele's. I've never been here before, and I'm always looking to give new places a try! The ambience in this restaurant is great! They have a big bar area, with comfy chairs and tables in their lounge. It's separated from the dining area. There's enough room for live music, which they had on Halloween. Low lighting throughout for an intimate feel. We were greeted and seated immediately, but we were a little disappointed in the lack of attendance at 8:30 PM. We had a couple of drinks and a couple of items off of the appetizer menu, and then ultimately decided to head to Johnson City to see what festivities were going on there. The appetizer pricing seemed a little high to me ($20 each plate) but the dishes tasted good. The croquettes are really rich and cheesy. I didn't get a lot of lamb flavor from the flautas, but they were good. They also had free chicken wings and chips & salsa for their Halloween event. The wings & salsa were excellent! If we had stayed another 20 minutes, we probably could've won the costume contest ($50 prize) because we were the only ones dressed up besides the staff, but we didn't want wait until 10PM. This is an amazing hidden gem. When you walk in, you can feel an upscale, relaxed vibe. There are many seating options: the bar, the lounge, the dining area, and the patio (patio does allow smoking.) We went in a Saturday when they had live music. They have local artists come in every week. The music was great and they had the volume low enough where you could still have a conversation if you wanted. The staff was so nice and attentive. They gave great recommendations of the menu. They have an good wine selection. Most of the bottles are from Flat Creek Winery. We had the 4 Horseman which was full-bodied. Definitely would recommend. The baked brie is delicious! It tastes so good with the bread. We had the lemon garlic penne with chicken. The sauce is so delicious and you can distinctly taste the lemon and garlic. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The chicken Marsala was good. Being a mushroom fan, I would have loved more mushrooms in the sauce, but overall was tasty. From the moment we walked in, I loved the vibe--warm, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. The staff were all genuinely friendly, which instantly made us feel at home. I started with a cocktail that was a touch strong for my taste, but the flavor was fantastic and well-balanced. For an appetizer, we ordered the wood-fired brie, which had to be substituted with burrata since they were out of brie that evening. It was still delicious, though I would've enjoyed a bit more balsamic glaze. Personally, I'd also prefer the appetizer to be roasted a little longer so the tomatoes and garlic could be more easily spread on the crostinis. For the main course, I had "The Lefty," which featured a perfectly crispy crust. We finished with the Hot Honey Cheesecake--creamy, flavorful, and with a crust that carried a nice, subtle spice. All in all, it was a lovely spot for a quick bite and the perfect start to an evening out. A special highlight: the owner, Adele, came out to greet us and make sure we were enjoying everything. We stopped in to have a little "mom & dad" drink before hitting the town. The hostess greeted us as soon as we opened the door and sat us at the bar quickly. The piano music was so much fun. The lights were low and the crowd was full of enjoyment. Our bar tender was attentive and accommodating. We don't drink alcohol but still love mocktails. Not only were they absolutely refreshing they were also really well priced. Max (I believe) was wonderful and provided great conversation. My only complaint was that I was too tired to come back later that night and enjoy more! They were closed on Monday and Tuesday sadly. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the place again. read more

THIS IS A NEGATIVE REVIEW...First visit was 4 for food and female bartender was pleasant, if new and under informed, so we thought we'd come back. Unfortunately, the male bartender would rather we walked away from 5 empty seats at his bar than request his 1 customer straighten her chair so there was enough room that we could sit down. We were invited to come back another time (by the female bartender who was serving that day), but if they didn't want our business that day, why would we come back another time. This was shockingly poor bar management. We have moved two upcoming couples dinners to another location even though we had planned to introduce them all to this restaurant; not happening now. FTR - food was good the first visit which is the reason for the rating, but not good enough to overcome this experience, which we have been sharing with anyone who will listen. Our second time to eat there. Yesterday, we went for lunch after church with our family. Was surprised at their ample brunch menu. I had the sweet green chili pulled pork on eggs Benedict. One of my yolks was like McDonald's. The other was more to my liking. The yolk ran. both tasted delicious. pat had lemon garlic Penny. I could tell she did not care for it as there was nothing left on her plate. Giles and the kids shared a pizza. Kolt had four slices! There was nothing left on the platter. Cheryl & Keaton had the lemon garlic penne with shrimp. As when we dined there before, the shrimp were huge. Food was good, but the service was disappointing. We had an 8:45 reservation with a $50 deposit, but were told the kitchen closed at 9, so we rushed over. The waiter questioned why the rest of our party wasn't there at 8:30, and when we said we had our order ready, she replied, "I hope so." The live music was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation our table. The warm Brie appetizer was good but didn't come with enough bread so we asked for more. They gladly brought it and charged us $4.00. The risotto was not risotto but undercooked regular rice. We had mentioned it was my birthday and after dinner I was asked which dessert I would like. I chose a lemon something that was so tough I had to use a knife to cut through it and it tasted like freezer burn. We were charged $12 for that disaster. I thought it was complimentary. I would have gladly shown my ID to prove it was my birthday. Overall our bill was $300 and it was the biggest waste of $300. I will never return read more

The ambience is relaxing and very unique. Our host was informative and was obviously very experienced--she gave us just the right amount of attention.
