We got seated almost immediately when we arrived on a Saturday night. We had a huge party so their booth inside the restaurant was very convenient and comfy. The ambiance was relaxing. Not a lot going on that day. It was a bit confusing how 3 different people kept approaching our table to ask about our order and how we were doing. Regardless- super friendly staff. Besides that the food was okay---not horrible but not amazing either.

Wonderful place! We did a private event at their event. Foo was delicious. Chilaquiles were bomb! They also have cafe de olla.

Came 5pm, we were the first ones there. Can't speak about the parking situation as we walked here but it is right off h busy street if 6th, I think they have some spots in their own lot. Ordered queso as an app; it's a fair price for its size but it's such a large amount and frankly too much for two people. I wish they offered a smaller portion. Had some kick to it, slightly too watery for our preference and tasted fine enough. I got the enchiladas which were standard fare but I liked them. Partner got tacos which all tasted good as well. They have happy hour drinks, we both got modelo negras which were like 8 bucks each

this place is just what the neighborhood needed. mexican food on a sunday - what? really cute interior. solid drinks and dishes. we had red chile cheese enchiladas, highly recommend. their refried beans were fire, so much so, that we asked for some to go to eat with our leftovers. next time we will remember to try the tres leches!

Mila's is a welcome new addition to my neighborhood, which is regrettably a bit of a food desert where Mexican cuisine is concerned. The menu leans more towards gringo tastes than authentic Mexican. I visited during happy hour and opted for the very tasty house margarita. Over a decade ago this location was home to an excellent neighborhood humble Mexican spot called Los Troncos. Then it became Lime, good for drinking, not so much for eating. And then Uno Mas, a lackluster taco joint in a city rich with quality tacos. Mila's looks like it has to the potential to be the best offering here since Los Troncos. Things I liked... Service was excellent. The interior looks great. Lots of good outdoors seating. From my perch at the bar, I had a commanding view of all the action on the block, centered around Don's Club Tavern, but there's also lots of foot traffic from neighboring businesses. I ordered the pollo adovado, out of curiosity since I'd never seen chicken cooked in adovado before. It was not a typical adovado, my flattened chicken breast was cover with a thin sweet syrup rather than stewed in a paste. I have never contemplated adding sugar (common chef's cheat) to adovado, and I probably will not order this dish again. The accompanying pinto beans were delicious. The Mexican rice was so-so. The bartender asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas. I asked for corn but received both, and ended up paying extra for the corn. The corn tortillas were unusually paper thin and a bit oily, so likely made in-house. The flour tortillas were better, also a bit unusual, but had a good chew on them. Better than the corn. Next time I will try the carnitas, perhaps they will inspire me to upgrade my rating. But this is overall a nice new spot in the hood and I hope it has staying power. At the very least, I enjoyed the bar environment.

If you're in the mood for a good margarita, satisfying AND filling Mexican food then look no further. This place was empty on a weekend night for no reason. I ordered the Chicken Monterey and a couple skinny margaritas and they were delicious. Service was consistent but not over bearing. Give em a try if you're looking to scratch a Mexican itch.

No complaints. The food was excellent. The service was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. I definitely recommend it. Bonus. There is a parking lot. We will be back for sure.

    Ambience, food, and drink

The food here is so delicious. I've eaten near multiple times. It's not just like normal good it's extra good. Ambience is good. You can sit inside it outside when people that work here extra friendly smoky Rio delicious. Come on Denver eat here more.

It was easy to walk to without moving my car from the mall garage, which was nice since the parking near the bar itself is scarce and just street parking. They have the cutest little set up, nestled in between a larger building with some large murals on the walls of beautiful violet flowers. They also have a great patio set up, with live fires that you can sit around. The service was great, we were greeted almost instantly, and the waiter made recommendations on his favorite drinks, I got the coco coffee cocktail, which is very popular according to the staff. It was a little too creamy for me, so not my favorite, but was tasty and elegant nonetheless. I also got the Elote dip, it was also good, but nothing spectacular. Overall, the vibe was great, though, people at other tables were friendly, and it did not feel stuffy. Prices are Cherry Creek normal, a drink is $16-20. Will definitely come back and try something new

But then there was some shady stuff going on at the front of the line (I was right at the front), and the bouncer was basically just letting in whoever he wanted, and ignoring the line. Was kind of frustrating, but we waited patiently so we could see what this place was all about. The vibes were cool, and I'd like to go back on a weeknight when it's not so busy. So, I need the service to be a little better for me to increase my rating. And then maybe try some of the bites that they offer during food service times. Idk. This place has potential... and it is really cute. Hoping for more next time.

Beef tartare was close behind, finely diced and well-seasoned. The guacamole was fresh and chunky, the prawns had a nice char, and the Amarillo ceviche brought a bright, citrusy heat from the aji amarillo peppers that balanced beautifully against the cool, tender fish. But the real highlight of the night was the steaks. My skirt steak was cooked perfectly, well-charred outside and tender inside, paired with the potatoes three ways, crispy, creamy, and roasted, each with its own texture and seasoning. Even better was the tomahawk ribeye, flambéed tableside in mezcal, a great bit of theater with a smoky, slightly sweet flame that infused the meat. I got lucky enough to try a bite. Rich, buttery, and delicious with heavy rosemary. A real treat. Service was a bit spotty for our group. Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. All in all, so grateful I got to try what many call an institution and will certainly try more of chef Nobu's restaurants.

Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.
