    Chicken Frances's
    Anthony V.

Everyone, from the hostess to our waiter, was very professional and courteous. Our waiter was also a bit of a jokester. It made the dinner that much more enjoyable. Our calamari was fried to perfection. No tough, rubbery pieces, and breaded just right. Our Greek salads were light and fresh. Enough to wake up our taste buds for the entrees. Did I mention how good the rolls were: soft, warm, and doughy. Almost like a bagel, but better. The chicken Frances's was so good. The chicken was cooked just right, not overdone. It was tender and moist. The lemon-butter sauce brightened the dish up. And they did not skimp on the sauce. We had a medley of brownies for dessert and they were delicious: deep chocolatey and fishy chewy!! We had wonderful dinner experience and look forward to returning.

Best Service & Best Bargain in Town Adelphia's is one of the few places left that still remembers what great service is supposed to be. The servers here don't just drop your food and disappear -- they know the menu. They describe every dish like it matters, give real recommendations, and make you feel taken care of from the minute you sit down. Top-notch doesn't even begin to cover it. The food? Fantastic. Big flavors, generous portions, and plates that actually look like someone cared when they made them. And here's the part that surprised me: the prices are no higher than anywhere else these days. With the quality you get here, it honestly makes Adelphia's the best bargain around. You walk out full, happy, and wondering why every other place can't get it this right. If you want great food, real service, and a check that doesn't knock the wind out of you, Adelphia's is the place.

Im honestly stupefied with Adelphia's poor rating?! I know I can pick well from any menu, but I cant be this lucky every time I dine here. We attended a very nice small birthday party and we all ordered off of the menu (props to our generous host!) I went with a cup of their absolutely delicious Greek chicken soup (that I cant pronounce!) and the chicken parm. Im super picky about parm. Theirs was really darn good - not greasy, not salty, the perfect texture and so yummy! I subbed the linguine for penne. Nicely cooked - the sauce was a bit bland though. No problem - enter grated cheese! Others had prime rib, filet, chicken stir fry, and a turkey club. There were kudos for all - especially the steak dishes. We're actually having another birthday dinner next month for my Sir :) Take it from an Elite - very good!

I really didn't want to go because I thought it would be diner like. Well I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely has a restaurant feeling. A large menu. I had the chicken Parm and it was delicious!!! We were a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed their meal. I definitely recommend.

Out of all of my visits, my favorite is the weekend brunch menu. There are so many yummy things to choose from like the breakfast burrito, the banana Forester French toast, the various of Benedict's including crab, and there were a bunch of various breakfast sandwiches, but the most menu appealing one that I liked is the pork roll. On my last trip I wound getting a chicken brie apples bacon on brioche bread. It was a special of the day. From the moment I bid into it, I knew I would love it for the savoriness, the crisp and sweet tasting bread. There was a side of potatoes... Very nicely seasoned and the perfect crunch to them. On my last visit, it was a total of 10 people in our group and the customer service was great. We were all able to pay with separate checks... Always a perk. The waiter was super super friendly and kept our coffee refills going. Inside it is busy which could lead away from the quiet ambience, but I didn't mind it at all.

Former home vibe, i was one of the earliest weekday diners. Since it a solo dinner, I opted for a few sides: Kimchi rice Cucumber salad Brussel sprouts (no meat or butter) The cucumber salad was so good, I ordered a second portion!! The tofu burnt ends and bbq jack fruit sounded so intriguing that I almost begged the kind server to ask the chef if they could serve a side portion. Otherwise the bbq is served in pound increments. For my lucky tummy, they obliged and wow those are both delicious vegan options! Maybe next time, i will visit here earlier during my trip to be able to take home leftovers. Booth was cozy and love that water bottle to refill my glass is on my table which sounds weird but I drink alot of water! Small place , would recommend reservations for weekend dining. Parking lot was limited too. Enjoy!

We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! My Pink Jaguar cocktail was beautiful and caused quite a buzz among the bar patrons! We opted to sit outside, and we are glad we did. The space is open and breezy but fully covered. No need to worry if a passing shower makes its way overhead. Steamed clams in white wine and Truffle fries for the table to start. Yum! All entrees are accompanied by a house salad or Ceasar salad. Our group ordered the Limone Chicken, Chicken Sfiziosa, Steak Frite, and the Eggplant Meatballs/Risotto. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We loved everything. I know their linguine is house made, but not certain of the other pasta varietals. Cheesecake and Cannoli for dessert, because why not? Really nice experience! Our server was sweet and super-efficient. My only question for Filomena's Lakeview is "Where is the lake?" :)

We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????

The atmosphere is just as warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for families, friends, or anyone craving a nostalgic meal. The prices are very reasonable, and they always have great specials. I got the lunch special today and, of course, had to order the Honey BBQ Super Melt--a classic staple that never disappoints. I also added a half portion of the crispy chicken salad, which was fresh and flavorful. My niece enjoyed her chicken tenders, and my brother went with the All-American Burger. Let's just say, we practically licked our plates clean! It's unfortunate that so many Friendly's locations have closed over the years because this place still delivers great food and a comforting atmosphere. If you're in the area and looking for a satisfying meal at a great price, I highly recommend stopping by. It's a little slice of nostalgia that never goes out of style!

Weird. There was a sign in the door about $4 copper lager, one of my favorite beers. No dates or times listed. I asked our server about it and she mentioned it was on Tuesdays for club members. Nothing about that in the sign... Speaking of which, we've seen this server a bunch of times, but this was our first time with her. She was rude and inattentive. Dropped plates with no words. Barely checked on us. I don't know if she was in a bad mood or not bc I don't feel like we did anything to deserve the attitude. For almost $70 with tip, I expected more. I mentioned to my wife I don't want to go back anytime soon, especially with the kids. Too expensive for meh food with bad service. I'll just cook at home next time. So disappointed.
