Overall this location is nice. There's plenty of parking outside and the store is nicely organized. I passed by a couple different staff and no one said anything to me. No greeting and I wasn't offered assistance despite the fact I was aimlessly walking around. The store isn't huge but does have a big selection. To me the prices seemed higher than the liquor stores near me. I will say I saw several promotions throughout the store, several that had a free mini bottle attached. (Which I never see in DC / MOCO) I was impressed with the mini bottle section and the prices were spot on in that department. I didn't end up buying anything since I could get most of it cheaper where I live- but that doesn't mean this isn't a good stop if you're in a jam.

Staff is attentive and looking to help if you need it…read more I added a few bottles of hooch to my bar stock from here last week: large bottle of Absolut Vodka for Bloody Mary's, Jack Daniels for mixed drinks calling for whisky, and Maker's Mark for sipping Bourbon, plus a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream. Clerk asked me if I wanted the booze in a box - instead of a bag. I said yes! Easier to carry!

This is the newest of the three Virginia ABC Stores is the Greater Gainesville-Haymarket megaplex - it opened less than a year ago in the Madison Crescent retail complex - located at the intersection of U.S. 29 and U.S. 15. Decent selection of booze, particularly vodkas and bourbons, for some reason it seems considerably smaller than the Virginia ABC Store over in Dominion Square in Haymarket - but that is a hardly a scientific observation on my part! I've stocked up a few items here over the course of time this place has been open: Ketel 1 and Grey Goose vodkas, Single Malt Scotch, Knob Creek Bourbon, and other assorted hooch. Picked up a bottle of Galliano this evening for a friend. Good place to stock your bar!

So I stopped in for a bottle of La Diablada Pisco - a brandy from South America used to make the Pisco Sour cocktail. For some reason - Pisco Brandy is not readily available at all Virginia ABC Stores - so I had to travel to Manassas to find a bottle. This location is located in the Bull Run Plaza retail complex.
