On Sunday, August 24, 2025, around 3:45-4:00 PM, we visited the Adidas store at Santa Anita Mall . While inside, my 3-year-old son was holding his father's hand and touched the shoe display rack. The sharp edge of the fixture cut off part of his thumb, causing severe bleeding and intense pain. He cried uncontrollably, and we rushed him to La Verne Medical Urgent Care for treatment. I have attached photos taken after the wound was cleaned. Before treatment, there was heavy bleeding, which was very distressing for him and for us as parents. I am deeply shocked and disappointed that a major brand like Adidas would allow such hazardous store fixtures in a family-friendly environment. This unsafe design not only harmed my child but also poses a danger to other customers. My son has now suffered both physical injury and emotional trauma because of this preventable incident. read more

I went into this location on a whim to buy the slides that I've been lusting after for a few years. I was greeted immediately and my first impression of the store was that it was super clean, and given Covid times it felt sterile somehow, which was very comforting and makes me think they are taking things very seriously. I didn't get a chance to see how they handle large crowds as there were not too many people, so I would be interested to see if they keep a cue outside to prevent too many people from being in the space. But I digress... I walked in and was looking at the slides which were very easy to locate, and everything is merchandised in such a way that it really encourages looking at other things. And I found myself roped into a couple of items. But at the same time it was still easy to find what I went in for. I was only looking for maybe 30 seconds when someone approached me and asked if I needed any help. Sarah helped me and she was very friendly! I'm really shocked by the good reviews on here. I came yesterday to exchange the sizes of some shoes that were gifted to my parents and sister. At first the order number / gift receipt wasn't loading and we were told we could only exchange once we found an item to exchange with. Otherwise our options were refund (to person who gifted to us and not present) or STORE CREDIT VALID FOR ONE DAY. The employee said we could have "better" options once we had the order number. When the order number loaded, we were given the same options. My sister ended up exchanging for another pair of shoes but had to pay a difference of $50 for getting ultraboost 22 instead of 21 she received. They couldn't even honor the same price value of the shoe we got originally as a rightful exchange with difference to pay of $10. We went to another adidas store and had zero problems and zero BS "one day store credit." There may be other employees that don't pull off this ridiculous behavior, but they were speaking with the manager on their mics. I'm upset my sister lost money, we should've just gone to another adidas store to begin with. read more

I hate to give a place such a low rating but it feel like its justifiable. I drop by to exchange a pair of shoes and return my brothers shoes. Drop by register and explained my situation and the cashier got the process going. There was another employee talking to the cashier while they were helping me. I gave them the receipt and the shoes and the cashier seem new cause she kept asking question to her coworker. No big deal I know how it is to be new. After fumbling with the computer for a bit she ask if her coworker could help out with my exchange she said nope and walked off. After about 10 minutes of pressing buttons on the screen she ask for the card it was used to purchase the shoes I gave it to her promptly and ask where is my brother. I told them that I was helping him return it. Then she tells me he has to be here to return. Ends up being a waste of 10 minutes. Great. Then the exchange process of my shoes occurs. Cashier goes off to get my correct size, about 5 minutes pass by and shows up with the shoes. Yay! I inspect the shoes and asked if they were the display shoes? She says no. I go hmm they look dirty and I look at the shoe box and it says Display. She offers that they can clean them up for me. I refused as who know how long its going to take. To exchange the shoes she needs the manager to override the computer. Turns out that employee from earlier that refuse to assist in the exchange was the manager! I get the shoes and they tell me that I owe additional tax on the exchange. At this point i'm already irritated and tell them I have to pay ADDITIONAL for a size exchange? Cashier hurries to tell me to sign and hit OK. I was done. I ask for a bag for the shoes and she gives me the small bag that fits one box and I kindly ask for a bigger bag that will fit both shoes. I don't know if it's just my luck, but every time I come to this store I feel like the workers are not very helpful at all. Don't get me wrong, there was one worker that was actually "working", I didn't get his name but I really appreciate his help! There was one time when I shop there with a stroller and a wanted to try on something and this Asian girl worker with long hair took me to a fitting room that didn't even fit my stroller! I've been to this Adidas location many times before but I've never bothered to leave a review. However, during my most recent visit, I was met with excellent customer service and had to put it out there. I ordered UB 2020s at around 2:00 PM that day and on the website, it stated that I would be able to pick it up the same day but it seemed highly unlikely because, by around 7:30 PM, the website said it was still being processed and the store closes at 9:00 PM. I had hoped to pick them up while at the mall with my cousin. I decided to go into the store anyway and I asked the two people working at the front. Instead of easily dismissing me by saying it wouldn't be available that day because I ordered it so late, they were willing to help me! She went into the back and then came out with the shoes and helped me sort everything out! I went in today to exchange some shoes that were bought online with a gift card. We asked a few times if they wanted to see the receipt and the answer was no. When we were ready to finish our exchange we were asked for the receipt after I let them know it had been an online order. After they finished doing the exchange and gave us our receipt. I noticed that there was money due to us, if I had known that I would have purchased something else. Instead they said because it was bought with a gift card we would get an e-card so we would have to wait to get that before using it. If they had told us prior to completing the transaction instead of us having to ask them about it, it would have been a much better outcome. One of your employees stole a pair of shoes that we brought in to return. He claimed they don't have the item in store so he'd have to create a label and return it to Adidas and they will exchange it for another pair. He provided a fraudulent FedEx label. There was no movement on the package so I followed up with corporate and they told me to call the store directly. I called the store and your manager Abby denied ever receiving the shoe despite me walking into your store and surrendering the pair in exchange for a return label. The return label expired because they NEVER sent the shoe back to their warehouse so they can send me a new pair. I'm out $84 and your store is denying it up and down. I've now opened a case with DCA and BBB for further investigation and for the camera footage. I will also be filing a police report against your employee. Store Manager Vivi is the rudest person I have ever seen. U can't return $120.00 shoes, which are display shoes they sold to you! They accuse you wore them instead! The story is: I am a BIG lover of Adidas, and I spent hundreds of dollars there. On Memorial Day weekend, I went shopping for running shoes, Rienna helped me with the pure boost x training shoes, I tried on several pairs, and finally I decided to take black color, but I'm not sure about size 6.5 or 7. She told me they only have size 6.5 in store, so I tried on 6.5 and walk around in the store to see if it fits. I feel a little bit tight but not too tight. Rienna suggest me that maybe I should order size 7 online. I was like it sounds reasonable. Then Rienna told me that the size 6.5 is the last pair(display shoes)in store, I was like for $120.00 shoes, who wants display ones, I'd rather order both sizes online instead. But she insists that if if size 7 fits better, I can return this one. I thought maybe she really wants to get the credit on this sale, and she helped me with several pairs, then I decided to take her advice. After I returned home and received my size 7 shoes, I found out the size 7 fits better, so I decided to return size 6.5. However, UNBELIEVABLE things happened! Store Manager Vivi refused to refund, and she accused me of wearing them already, I told her it's display shoes, and people tried them on in store and walked around like I did, of course there's dust on soles. And come on, everyone can tell the difference if there's wear and tear! And I was really upset and I promise and swear to God, I only tried them on at home on carpet, that's it! And she was really unreasonable and rude and careless about a loyal customer of Adidas! The second day, I cleaned up the sole and went to store for refund again. This time Rienna was in the store too! I was so happy to see her bc she is the only person who can prove the shoes are in their original condition when they were sold. BUT in front of both me and the store manager, RIENNA said she can barely remember! I was furious and I felt really pity for her to sell her souls for sales credit Of course I ended up no refund again! I spent 2 hours writing this review, because I feel Adidas is my favorite brand, I really don't want these unqualified employees to ruin its brand image! Upon hearing my complications I had with the store manager Viv (Vivian), the Adidas general manager Raymond reached out to us and gave us his entire attention on the matter. He took care of our situation, made sure we were taken care of and went above and beyond to make things right. Big thanks to him! Also big thanks to Erick, Antonio and Sandra for their great service that they provided! They were able to help us out with all the questions and getting the items we wanted. Antonio was very helpful with processing my transactions and even spent his own time to make sure we were taken care of before leaving for the day. If you are looking to make some purchases on this store, ask for them to take care of you! If you have to work with their store manager Vivian, beware with returns in general, she may give you a hard time for brand new items as soon as you leave the door. Went out of my way to come here and return a pair of $220 shoes that my bf ordered online only to be told "it's ILLEGAL" to return if im not owner of the credit card used to purchase the shoes. Which makes NO sense because just the week before i was able to return my online purchase without showing id or credit card-- at the citadel adidas location. Its not like my bf paid in cash and Im asking for a cash refund..literally they just need to scan the barcode and the money reverts back to his credit card, so WHAT AM I GAINING FROM THIS. Anyways, I asked if there's anything at all i can do (have my bf send me a photo of his id, cc, get him on the phone etc.), and the guys like, "no unfortunately its illegal." UGH. So i left. The next day, im thinking about what happened and it still makes no sense to me, and so I call the store and asked again if there's any way they could make an exception and let me return the shoes. They said sure we'll even hold the shoes for you but you need to come down within an hour. It's a 40 min drive for me without traffic When I get there the size they held for me they was sold to someone else and told me to try .5 bigger because it fits snug anyways.... well good thing is that it did fit me well. However that's some bs thing to pull if someone knew their size. Hands down, my favorite adidas store! I've visited plenty adidas locations and this store by far has the best customer service. I've never gone in and have someone not greet me! I visited this store this past weekend just to browse and it just so happened that the alpha edge 4D was released that day! I was a little iffy about them at first but decided to try them on since my bf was trying on a pair. Antonio was the one helping us out and he's always so helpful whenever we visit the store. ok back to the 4D, this shoe is super comfy and looks so good on feet. My bf and i couldn't pass them up so we both got a pair. Also copped a pair of white Pharrell's that someone returned. I could not find adidas headquarters so I chose a local store.... here's my concern/ complaint: At Christmas time I ordered one $100.00 gift certificate to give to my granddaughter for Christmas. They asked for her email and then they would send it to her on the day and time of my choice. Instead, I gave them my email so that I could wrap it up and she'd have a gift to open. When I received it I saw that they had sent me one $50.00 gift certificate. I received it on Christmas eve so I let my granddaughter know that I had purchased a $100 g.c. and that I would take care of it right after the holidays. When I called adidas the girl researched it and saw that what I was saying was correct but said she had to forward it to another department to take care of it and it would take 7-10 days. A couple weeks later I received an email stating they had sent two $50 g.c. (Why.... when I asked for one ???). I went back through all of my emails....spam.... trash... everything. There was only one. I called them back and and went over everything.... again. They had to forward it to another department too and it would take 7-10 days AGAIN. I sent a complaint to their "contact us" on their websight....i filled out their customer opinion survey... I've done everything I possibly could but still missing $50 !!! Is this a scam??? If I had them send the g.c. directly to my granddaughter would I have even known about the discrepancy? At the very least they have very low standards on how they treat their customers!! Be careful when purchasing gift certificates with their on line stores! Today is February 2, 2018 and I still have not received my 2nd $50 g.c. Came in here about two weeks ago with a pair of Women's ultra boosts to exchange them for a different size, and one of the managers told me that he couldn't do the exchange. I did not have a receipt, but the shoes were brand new, in a box, and he still refused to exchange them for me. He claimed that they were bought else where. So, I called Adidas directly and they refunded me the price of the shoes through a digital gift card. I went today (9/24/16) to use the digital gift card, and this time they couldn't process my gift card because their "system was down." Employees, and especially the managers, will do nothing to make their customers happy. Customer service and their "system" are in need of major improvements.
