This is the second time I've been here and both times I was quickly waited on . The service was excellent. I would highly recommend them.

Had recently had an oil change at a different business. Apparently they neglected to put the bolts back on my oil pan cover, which subsequently fell off on 90 in a snowstorm. I was able to get off the exit and brought to this location as it was the closest. They threw the car on the jack, replaced the bolts, and sent me on my way in less than 10 mins, for no cost. I will be going back when I need service/tires for sure! read more

This morning while driving in Guilderland in my 2018 Honda Accord a tire pressure indicator light came on. This had me very worried as I had tire issues in the past. We tried to add air at a station we passed but it seemed to be losing air instead of filling. I was taking my husband to an appointment and then was going to head to another tire place that I had recently used in Colonie. As I debated with myself the safest way to get home I looked up and there was Adirondack Tire Center at 1610 Western Ave in Guilderland. I immediately pulled in and hoped they would check on my tire. Eric was kind and friendly and helpful. He listened to my concerns, and said we can help you. They checked out all my tires. The one that was low was filled. They did not find anything wrong with the tire. They gave me the caps that were missing on some of the tires. They cleaned and sealed the rim. They mounted, balanced and reinstalled the tire back on the vehicle. For this they charged me ZERO! I am so grateful to Eric and the team at Adirondack Tire in Guilderland. read more

After sitting in the customer waiting room for 3 hours waiting for parts to arrive mind you the rate is $110.00 per hour breaks job has not begun! Two experiences - 4 tire install on a low slung sports car; did not have low profile lift, jacked each wheel to install. No alignment possible (no lift). Had to instruct manager on sequencing for TPM settings, got out with no damage, but as others have noted, do not bring a luxury/sports car here. Next time 4 tire install on SUV went cleanly, but one TPM did not work. Was told the battery is probably dead, and the 3 other TPMs were near death. Oh, we don't have them in stock, come back next week. Fortunately, the bum TPM came alive after driving awhile. Manager should keep the arrogant little punk in the back, not in front of customers. They told me they would fix my tire and would give me a call before the weekend (i use my vehicle for work) they didnt give me a call or return my call, then kept my wheel for the weekend forcing me to put about 150 miles on my spare. Come monday, no returned call. I had to call again. They answered and told me that the tire was not fixable in that "oh yea, it cant be fixed" way. Leaving me wondering, were these guys just not gonna call me back like they said? When did they find this out? Basically tldr: Staff is incredibly unproactive. You have to pry information from them and i recommend keeping children out of the shop in case you hear the conversations being had from the garage dont rely on this shop for tight deadlines or if time is of the essence. Probably does the same quality of work that other tire shops do though so cant complain about that. Just about how they screwed me over for the weekend, went against their word and bitched at my girlfriend who was sitting in my parked car in an area where we werent supossed to park but were just following what another person was doing who was parked right next to us, apparently also not in a place you should park. I visited location at 1717 Union St. Schenectady N.Y. I only wanted a NYS inspection. I called a week in advance and was told no appointments are necessary. I was told to come in noon or later on Monday Jan 3 2022 or the next Morning at 8am. I showed up at 1215 on 01/03 and was told they were booked. I wondered to myself how can you be booked if you don't take appointments I was now told the first opening would be Friday 01/07/22. This is a 30 min. drive to my residence . When you bring your car in with an issue, you never know the root of the problem. This team found the root quickly. They were accommodating and extremely helpful in resolving this surprisingly large problem in a hurry. The manager is quick to say "we noticed and fixed ___, but we aren't going to charge you for that." Genuine, honest, patient folks work here. They argued with their supplier to get me a fair price, lent me a donut for free, didn't charge labor, and gave me a free tire because mine was shredded. They also found me a matching AMG Mercedes wheel (and replaced it) in 3 days!!! read more

Had Adirondack Tire put 2 new tires on and asked for a wheel alignment. After 1000 miles inner tire treads on both tires totally worn down to the cords (see pics). Obviously they never did a wheel alignment. First they told me they would warranty the tires and do another alignment free of charge. Then they reneged and would not warranty the tires. They told me the problem was a bad control arm on the passenger side and that's why the tires wore. Ok, so why was the driver side tire worn out? They are clever and told me the alignment printer is broken and couldn't show me the results when they supposedly did the alignment. Since I brought in the car because the old tires were worn the same way, why didn't they find the control arm problem before putting on the tires? Finally had to buy 2 new tires, fixed the control arm issue at another shop, and had Pep Boys do a real alighnment. Surprize, the alignment was way, way off and I got a printout to show. Adirondack Tire falsifies their work, won't warranty their work, and scams you of your money. Stay away. read more

I called Adirondack Tire to ask about getting a new set of tires. The service rep who spoke with me was incredibly rude and condescending, from belittling me for not understanding the nuances of manufacturer warranties to the point of flat out telling me he wanted me to get off the phone because he had people standing in line. I had initially chosen to call because of other positive reviews I had seen, but after the way I was treated over the phone, I will opt to take my business elsewhere. read more

My tires kept going flat, so I stopped by to get a flat fix. They were able to sneak me in even tho they were super busy. Turned out my tires were just mounted wrong by the dealer, they fixed it and refused to charge me. That is how you earn a loyal customer for life. Unprecedented service and honesty. At the Western Avenue location I got exactly what I paid for, as promised. Great customer service. I don't buy tires very often and I want someone to walk me through the process. I came in due to a flat on an old set of tires and they had me fixed up that day. They keep a centralized inventory, so if you want to wait for installation it's best to make an appointment so your tires can be there in advance. This is my go-to tire store, so I could believe I might have been able to find a better "deal", but I don't believe I could have found better service. Thank you! read more

Came in yesterday to get my car inspected. Saw on Google they had good reviews and even my boyfriend recommended them. My car passed inspection and Josh noted I had no A/C. I asked if it was possible for them to take a look at it and he said sure and to come in early the next day. I did that and he took a look at the car. Unfortunately he found it had to do with my compressor and it would've cost me almost a grand to fix it so I passed on having my A/C repaired. He gave me a copy of the work order and didn't charge me for looking at my car. I felt overall I had a really good experience, regardless of how much it would've cost me to get my A/C fixed. I felt Josh was a genuine person and I didn't feel like I was getting conned. Would highly recommend. read more

Good guys. I stopped by when I heard a noise coming from one of my tires, I thought I had a nail stuck in it. The gentleman behind the counter immediately test drove my car with me in it. He took it around the block, asked me if this was the noise I was hearing, and then put it up on the lift. It was immediately inspected, and he told me there was nothing to worry about. He explained the issue was just with the feathering of the tire, and it was likely making noise since I just had the tires rotated. In and out in 20 minutes, with peace of mind. No charge, I'll be buying my next set of tires from here. read more

I'm not a car guy, but I was told later on that BMW tires should never be rotated... it seems like these guys should know this but they did it anyway and caused $3,500 worth of damage by destroying my transfer case on their "test drives" after rotating my tires... read more

i started coming here few months ago bought a set of front tires then. then i returned with 2 cars for inspection stickers both passed ... just this week i return for a flat rear tire and i'm told i need new rear tires plus brakes & rotors .. you didnt see this when you inspected my car less then 30 day's ago !!!! i try and support local shops but i'm done here & will let my friends know about this ... so you get 1 star only . read more

Let me just start off by saying how happy i am with their service!! Rick and Ray are two of the most amazing mechanics around. My Jeep patriot 2016 only has 22,000 miles on it! When taking it to my dealership for a grinding sound in the front. They charged me $700 plus dollars to "fix" the issue. However the sound persisted, so clearly the money spent was not to fix this issue. When i went back they said i needed to drive my car more and the sound would go away. Well i drove the jeep for 2-3 weeks and the sound still clearly wasn't going away. Then i returned and spent another 2 hours while they now looked at the "rear" end on the car and found i needed to replace my " brake shoe kits and rusted line".... Another estimate for $700 plus dollars to get this done..... HELL NO.... not on a jeep that has 22,000.... How could it be costing me 1400 in 2 months time..... Something was off- So my sister pointed me in the right direction! Rick and Ray looked at my jeep gave me a $300 bill and fixed this issue! I wish i went to them in the first place! Would've saved me $700. I am so grateful for their advice and help! Now my jeep runs like a 2020. LOL. I highly RECOMMEND that you go there for your next service!!!!! read more

Places like this are why women (who don't know much about cars) should never go to one of these places alone! I had a 2011 ford fusion with a flat. I told them i wanted the cheapest tire they could get. The guy told me the only tire they had in stock was $165 plus tax so $185 total. I didn't know any better, so I paid him and went to work, planning on picking it up after my shift. I called my boyfriend to tell him I was all set and it would be ready by 2. When I told him the price he was dumbfounded. He called the shop and spoke with the manager who knew they were wrong. They saw a young women and took total advantage of her. They offered to give us a few oil changes to even out the outrageous price. Within minutes we received a call that they locked my keys in the car! They were not willing to call a locksmith and did not have a kit that could get into a locked car. By boyfriend had to leave his job and bring them a spare key so they could finish the job. Needless to say this was a disaster and I will never return again. read more

i Needed an oil change and decided to stop in here. I have to say that everything went well. Everything was still in the car when i got back to it and the whole process (Oil change and tire rotation) took about 25 or so minutes. No extra charges and not attempting to sell me things i would not need. I will be coming back here again if I need anything done on my car. read more

I have been there a few times over the past two years. The first time I was there the guy at the desk was somewhat rude, but everyone has a bad day so I brushed it off. The next couple times I dropped my car off before work and it was done by the time I got out of work. This last time made me decide not to go there again. The service provided was fine but when I got into my luxury car the grey carpet was covered in grease from there shoes. I have worked as a service tech and this should have been noticed and corrected before I even picked up my car. I waited while they half-assed cleaned the carpet. Took my vehicle to Adirondack Tire on Western for an oil change. This was an occasion where I did not have time to perform the maintenance myself. However, the next oil change I did perform myself, only to find Adirondack Tire installed the wrong oil filter. I have a 5.4 liter V8, the filter they installed was suited for a 3.5 liter V6. As one would guess, at 3000mi the oil came out pitch black as the filter could not handle the oil capacity. Either this garage has an incompetent crew or they purposefully cut corners because they didn't have the filter my vehicle required in stock. Either way, it's enough reason to take a vehicle elsewhere. read more
