Had Admiral come out to help with switching furniture from one house to another. The people who showed up were the same team that moved me two and a half years ago. They did a phenomenal job then and this time didn't disappoint either. Not only did they move the furniture but the were also put to work rearranging the furniture in the second house. Hired admiral one month before our move from an apartment to our first home. Made this fun time a living hell. 3 guys showed up pissed off at each other. One quit 15 minutes into the job leaving two who couldn't do the job alone. They quit 45 minutes later. Two chairs were moved during this time anc we got no updates. We had to scramble to get uhauls, friends, and family to drop everything and help over an entire weekend of sweaty moving during a pandemic. Clearly the management didn't schedule them properly. One guy was in NYC the day before and wasn't feeling well. He wanted to quarantine and was told to show up. Admiral, why is it ok to send a potentially infected person into my home? Why wouldn't you allow them to quarantine? Why didn't you do your job? Why is it ok that I had to spend several hundred dollars to cover your mistake? Why no apology? I did not hire them the town did. They packed my stuff at my previous address and brought my stuff to get in storage then to my new address. I am missing stuff. My Jewlery,mymotherś jewlary,a camcorder and a few more personal items I never got. They didn´t even thinkI would miss them, but guess what I did. read more

Moved within the state. Everything from communication to the people doing the work, the care they took with the property was top notch. Very efficient and quick couldn't keep up with them and had the whole 10 room house moved within 6 hours. Second time we've used them and would use them again. read more

This was the worst possible experience I ever possibly could have imagined. The first thing they do is lie to your face and tell you their jobs are hourly (which they are not, there is a 3-hour minimum), and my rate was $156 PER HOUR. So no matter how much time it took, my bill was $468. The job took about 1 1/2 hours because I tried to make it as easy as possible for these guys. Feeling bad for the obviously underpaid workers, I gave one guy a $20 bill and asked him to please treat the guys to lunch or something. He didn't even thank me for it and almost certainly put the money right in his pocket. I called in a complaint and some manager said he would credit 1 hour back, and I would have been perfectly satisfied. Never happened. So this company got paid $468 for 1 1/2 hours of work while paying their employees as little as possible. This is a perfect example of a company who gouges its customers and pays its employees as little as possible. Absolutely disgusting. This business should be shut down immediately. read more

horrible experience, the owner mike milkie was very nice when I called... I told him we had a four bedroom 6,000 square foot home...and that we would move all boxes and clothing but had a lot of furniture....he never came to the home to assess...the movers arrived on time with a small truck and agreed that they would have to make two trips which was ok since we were moving down the road......after a long day and two trips the movers declared that they couldn't work in the dark and left us with more heavy furniture at the old house and damaging an antique hutch,,,,, I expected an apology from the owner and hoped he would send a repair person to fix the hutch....instead gave me lots of excuses and a sent a check for $40.......not very professional read more

This company made my life a living hell. Two weeks before we moved, we contacted them. The owner came out to assess what we had and give us a quote. They quoted us at $5,200. Then 2 days later for no reason whatsoever, they change that to $6,500. They had originally told us they could move us on the 14th. Then out of the blue on the 2nd, they said they could only move us on the 9th. That was way too soon for us. THEN on the 3rd, they cancelled all together. Left us high and dry. Now we're scrambling to try to find someone who can move us within the next 10 days. This was by far the worst experience I could have imagined. read more

Pretty easy review here. I called them, they were nice and set up a Saturday 9am appointment to come out for an estimate. They never showed. I called Monday and got dodged several times. First they said they would take a message, then the estimator was on another call and would call me right after. Finally when I called a 3rd time I was told he left and would get right back to me. Never did, and the guy answering the phones acted like I was bothering him. I will pass on this company as I don't like wasting my weekends waiting for them without the courtesy of a call back or any type of a response. read more

Horrible experience. The company clearly double booked my move. They asked a few days prior if they could move sooner, when I said I couldn't make that work, I asked if I needed to find another company. They assured me they would be there. 7 hours after they were scheduled to arrive I finally got in touch with them, at which point they told me they weren't coming. The told me the soonest they could come was 2 days later, and my lease expired that day. It was too late to find another moving company, and I had no one to move me. I ended up paying fees with my apartment complex for a late move (with another moving company). No explanation or apologies or attempts to make the situation right. I would encourage anyone to find an alternative company. read more

I recently moved from CT to Atlanta, GA and I would HIGHLY recommend them. Not only did they accommodate my tight timeline due to a quick closing they also worked with me regarding my mover unfriendly locations. Neither my townhouse in CT or my apartment in Atlanta could accommodate a large moving truck which required that they load me into a smaller truck and then into the large truck for the thousand mile trip. Then once in Atlanta due to construction they had to do it again to get down my single lane road. Not only did this get this done quickly, none of my stuff missing or damaged AND they were early. If you have to move down the east coast or just down the street these are your guys. read more

We moved in May. The owner was nice enough....way off on estimate, as most are just to get your business. The driver, however, was an ass. He went rooting through my dressers, my PERSONAL drawers, and bitched because they were full of clothes which we were never told we couldn't leave there. The excuse the owner gave us for this behavior was that they move a lot of military and they are not allowed to leave stuff in the drawers. HA! I don't believe that for one second. The driver broke stuff before even putting it on the truck and was like, "Oh well, glue it or file a claim." Then we are missing five boxes and a lot of stuff was damaged. The driver, although he said he'd been doing this for years, was rude and obnoxious, and we were told that he was going through some 'family stuff.' Aren't we all? No reason to be rude or obnoxious, and you shouldn't bring it to work. The first time we used this company was many years ago, and they were fabulous! This time, I would not recommend them at all. Seems the care for the customer has disappeared somewhere along the road, like my personal items. I highly recommend you TAKE THE INSURANCE. We didn't because we trusted this company. Guess what? Nothing is what it used to be. Look at your reviews, Dave. Seems a lot was going on in early 2018. Time to find new employees! read more

We used admiral recently for a move from one end of the state to the other. The owner came to give us an estimate and go over the services they offer. We had a four bedroom home with a basement and garage. We did all our own packing and wrapping of furniture. We were selling our home and buying another so getting the closing dates to line up was not easy. Admiral worked with us and made us feel at ease. We didn't have a firm date until a week before closing and it was no problem for them. On the day of the move out a crew showed up on time. The guys were very professional. The move out went smoothly and admiral was able to keep our stuff in the truck overnight and meet us at our new home the next day as arranged. We requested the same crew for the move in and they did a great job. All of our stuff was placed exactly as we wanted with no damage at all. The best part was that we paid exactly what we were quoted. read more
