    3 taco set
    Michael P.

I order quite frequently from Adobo, and have to give them two thumbs up for some great tasting Mexican food. Recently I've become obsessed with their 3 taco set. You can design it yourself to ensure that it has the taste profile that you like. On the last occasion (last night), I got steak as my protein, and it was absolutely delicious! The steak was tender and juicy and not overcooked like at some places. In the past I've had almost everything on the menu, but their burritos are also a standout. Great taste and a good value. I have to say that in general whatever I've ordered in the past has always been tasty. Added to that great prices and generous portions, and it's pretty much a no-brainer when you're in the mood for Mexican. Recommended!

This place has a very convenient location, next to the West 4 express station. I thought the food was okay, but not great. I tried one of their burrito bowls and wasn't too impressed. There are so many great options for mexican food in the area, so I didn't think this was the best.

Our first time here last November and it was awesome! Food was delicious, the portions were very generous. And the guys were great, very helpful and accommodating. The place was clean and welcoming, - we left with full tummies and to-go boxes! Definitely a must try and we will definitely be back!

Really delicious halal birria tacos in west village! I've come here twice and am never disappointed. The staff is really kind and the restaurant has a lot of space.

I ordered delivery from them a few weeks ago and the tacos were phenomenal . I went in to try them again today and I ordered a honey chicken quesadilla, steak birria tacos and crunchy beef tacos. I have never had better food in New York City and I'm born and raised here. I am shocked at the quality, better than any other Mexican inspired place I've eaten at. Chipotle could literally never. The key takeaways for me is the freshness, the piping hot food and the service. Nirav was so kind and nice. He made very good suggestions as to what we should try as I was curious about some items. He was so dedicated to make sure we enjoyed the food and service. Honestly such a memorable experience. Needless to say I will be a regular customer here moving forward. They are so generous with the portions too!

The hype was absolutely worth it. The adobada tacos were hands down the best tacos I've ever had. The homemade corn tortillas were fresh and flavorful, and the adobada was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. I also tried the carne asada tacos, which were good but definitely overshadowed by the adobada. Each taco came topped with onions, cilantro, guacamole, and salsa. Just a heads-up--the salsa packs some serious heat! Overall, this place completely lived up to the hype. If you're in the area and don't mind waiting in line, it's absolutely worth it.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

This location near Times Square is ALWAYS busy, so expect a line out the door and a battle to find standing room once you actually get your food. There's no time to be distracted here - look at the menu while you're in line so you can immediately know what to order once you reach the counter. Also keep an eye out for people trying to shortcut the line. Prices are steep per taco - is that really surprising in the heart of New York, no - but my favorite is the Adobada: so much flavor packed into the meat and balanced with the sweetness of the pineapple slivers. Second would be the carne asada (get this if you're a guac lover). Their agua de jamaica unfortunately is pretty bland so I'd stick to the classics next time and probably get a bottled Coke. They have a bar at the side for salsas and other toppings, but honestly the salsa is really spicy - yes even for me, the Mexican. I think the tacos are perfectly delicious without it but feel free to take the risk! And stock up on napkins because it can get messy :)

The birria tacos were really good (or so my son said) but sadly the taquitos were terrible. They literally just had unseasoned shredded chicken (but serves me right for ordering something so basic). I'm not sure if it's trying to be "different," but the taco options were unappealing just from reading the descriptions. I managed to choose the two best-sounding items I could find, and honestly, they were so bland I don't even remember what they were. The setup and decor were basic. This spot could be a fun hangout, but it would take a better menu and staff who actually seem to care. It feels like just another restaurant that's lost sight of creating an actual experience for guests. The lack of vibe is obvious--if you don't want customers, just say so. The steak was tender and had pretty good flavor. I just wish there was more. Especially considering the price. Certainly not a bad quesadilla but the value wasn't quite there. Still, a fine option if you want Mexican food and you are in the area. I'd say the 3.5 rating is pretty spot on.

I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.
