I ordered a chicken burrito bowl and birria tacos, tortilla chips and a soda for under $30 after applying the $5 discount. My husband had both of these meals and he enjoyed them. The portion sizes were good and the food was flavorful. The birria tacos, which came with a side of consomé, reheated well in the air fryer. Ordered the 3 tacos for $10 special for delivery (freakin phenomenal value and was the reason I chose to order from them today for the first time ever). I chose their Carnitas in a hard shell with a topping of cilantro and onion (added sour cream for an additional .75 cents). I was blown away. Other taco spots please take note from these guys for the following reasons: 1- They delivered my hard taco and the shells were not soggy at all! This is so important! The shells aren't gringo store bought Taco Bell like shells. They're homemade, like they just came out of the deep fryer. Almost like a puffy crispy crunchy! Absolute dynamite. 2- They gIve customers a choice in toppings. You rarely get this option when ordering online. I loved their offerings of either cilantro and onion OR cojita cheese, lettuce, tomato. I dig the fact that next time I can choose to switch it up while still getting the awesome carnitas. 3- Speaking of carnitas.... Wahooooo! Wasn't super watery; the perfect seasoning, texture and taste. Again, so pleasantly surprised for the price I'm paying. 4- It's the little things that matter to me... like not sending out a delivery of tacos with a sorry ass looking dried up lime wedge. First time ordering for delivery here. The name totally threw me off, this place isn't located in Times Square so don't be alarmed or anything. I was surprised to see my burrito was HUGE. I think it's definitely worth worth ordering from and definitely beats chains like Chipotle. The size of the burrito is really big super filling. While I have to say the name "Tacos Grand Central" is a little bit of a misnomer, I'm also willing to overlook that. I order from TGC pretty frequently at work - it's a great price point that never pushes our per diem, the delivery is decently fast and always reliable, there's no delivery minimum, and the food is actually really, really good. My go-to is either a chicken or steak burrito with the works - it comes in the good delivery packaging (if you order food a lot, you know EXACTLY what I mean) - which isn't a huge deal, but I've gotten some pretty banged up meals delivered before. It comes with some pico and lettuce on the side. The burrito is PHAT and absolutely delicious - the meat inside is always incredibly tender. It's a super filling and yummy lunch for $10 or so. I usually order a horchata too, which is aggressively reasonable at $2.66 (an oddly specific number but nonetheless, a deal) and it's some of my favorite horchata I've had. Creamy and decadent with just the right amount of cinnamon. All in all lunch today cost me just over $16, and that's including tax and tip for the delivery driver. The delivery drivers are always incredibly pleasant and never call me too early, which drives me a little crazier than it should. Usually my food will be quoted at 30-45 minutes or so and arrives very reliably in that time window. TL;DR - I probably should eat salads for lunch more often, but when I'm nursing a hangover or just feeling like I should put on some winter hibernation weight, TGC is a great option. read more

Despite the name, it's actually located in Kips Bay/Flatiron area and not Grand Central! I'm so glad I came across this place on Yelp because it's delicious! Had the steak burrito bowl via MealPal, portion on the smaller side but the the overall taste was fine. I'd love to see their take on a California wet burrito, though. I'm sure it'd be equally delicious! When ordering tacos, it's important to note: These baddies are double wrapped. The name can be a bit confusing, considering the store is located in Flatiron. Nonetheless, I am excited to have found another lunch spot by Baruch College! TIP: They offer a discount with Baruch ID! The presentation of my bowl wasn't the prettiest but it's always the taste that matters most right? Everything tasted pretty scrumptious except for the rice. I did not like how mushy it was. It wasn't until halfway into my bowl that I realized I forgot to dump my green sauce in. Which sucks, as the bowl tasted WAY better and definitely felt more enjoyable to eat afterwards. Like many others I was legitimately confused when I stumbled across Tacos Times Square while perusing Yelp for a late night snack. Apparently their original location is in Times Square and they just decided to keep the name. Totally checks out. Still confusing AF. This is my go to whenever I'm craving tacos. Which is apparently A LOT since my last three reviews are from different taco joints. Maybe this is a sign I should branch out more, but lets be honest there's nothing more satisfying than a well made taco. Taco Times Square is no exception. Their taco deal is the best bang for your buck since you get three double wrapped and overflowing in meat/toppings for a little over 9 bucks. They also offer 25% off on Tacos Tuesdays. If you're ambitious and patient enough to unwrap that second layer there's enough filling to turn 3 tacos into 6. If that isn't a life hack I dunno what is. If you're not as enthusiastic about tacos as I am their quesadillas and burritos are equally as satisfying. Although sometimes a little soggy when delivered. Oh, and if you're in the mood for guac and chips don't sleep on theirs. It's $5 which is the best deal I've found in Manhattan to date. read more
