Waited for 20 minutes breathing paint in the store just to learn that they don't have the burger I ordered and they can't give me my money back. After spending $24 and waiting for 30 minutes total, I got this shitty looking burger and four tiny chicken tenders. $24 dollars and 30 minutes wait for THAT!?!?!? And they refused to give a refund. Unbelievable.

CHOPPED CHEESE

Great late night eat spot. Nothing outstanding but will definitely do the job. Fries are really good and portions are generous. Decent chopped cheese. There was a homeless man who came in toward the end of our visit that kinda harassed us (wish staff had stepped in or something) but it wasn't anything too crazy and we left pretty shortly after it started.

Food: I've tried the Holy Burger, Holy Chicken Burger, and Lunch Special. (All at different times) $: The Items are affordable each time I placed an order it was around $20 or less Service: the employees are nice and friendly Ambiance: relax and chill Holy Cow is my go-to lunch spot

Had a chance to try Holy Cow and tried some options. I went for the beef burger and grilled chicken tenders. The burger itself was dry, even with cheese. The chicken tenders were well seasoned and I enjoyed them. I'd definitely get them again.

the sandwich was good, great portion for one person at a good price. The sandwich is smaller than i original thought but can't beat this price, 2 sandwich, fries and a soda. look forward to trying other things in the menu soon.

I order from here because I was craving a burger on my lunch break . Their exceptional burger truly hit the spot, featuring a juicy patty, fresh toppings, and a perfectly toasted bun. However, while their fries were decent, we found them slightly soggy, though still enjoyable.

Small fry, medium onion ring

I've heard good things about Holy Cow, so my partner and I decided to swing by when we were in the area. Prices were very reasonable, so we got more food than originally planned! The sliders were decent and at $16 for 6, it's a solid deal! Out of the 2, I preferred the chicken (was quite juicy and had a bit of spice). We got the small fry which ended up being a larger portion than we anticipated (never a bad thing when it comes to fries). They have an interesting seasoning on them where they were slightly sweet. Very different from other spots, a pleasant surprise for me but may not be for everyone. We also got the onion rings which had a bit too much breading. The sauce that came with it was good (ended up dipping my fries in there too). We didn't get a milkshake, but saw a few others inside with milkshakes and they looked really good. They use Van Leeuwen ice cream. Definitely seems a little more of a takeout place, with only a few tables for seating inside, but glad we dropped by!

Be sure to get onion rings large with lots of crunch.

I had to update this review since the service is friendly and quick. The burgers are some of my favorites and the fries are delicious

One of the best fast food veggie burgers I've had. Not gourmet (and not expected to be), but great bun, good sauce, and good flavor.

There is currently construction and scaffolding in front of the place, but you'll see signage where to go at the opening of the scaffolding. We walked in, past the bar and checked in. We were seated within 5 minutes. I ordered a bourbon old-fashioned and we ordered crab rangoon as a starter. There were a lot of them and the sweet chili sauce was great. For my entree, I ordered the vodka rigatoni and a side of buttered broccoli. The vodka rigatoni was really good - liked the flavor and a decent size of pasta. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing. Plus I kept finding myself checking out the mural on the wall. Try it for yourself - but worth the fight to get a table.

They were able to accommodate which was great. They gave us a table that was big enough to fit the group too. We were seated upstairs and there was a large private event happening. It was pretty loud for the first hour or two, but it quieted down after a few hours once the group left. One thing that kept frustrating me during the Knicks game was the sound. They had the sound on, but kept switching between game audio and music. Commit to a sound! We visited during happy hour so we got a few drinks. I ordered the summer sangria and I enjoyed it. Foodwise it was a bit of a hit or miss. I ordered the turkey burger that came with fries and didn't like it. The arugula and jam combo was a miss. I'd skip it next time. My friends ordered the fried risotto ball and avocado hummus both were interesting. The hummus had a bit of a kick. Combination wasnt anything that I ever had before. Overall a mixed experience. Good service and I liked where they sat us. The atmosphere and some of the food items could be improved upon.

Did an earlier dinner on a Saturday with a friend at the bar. We got some similar items, some different. The thing I kept the same was my martinis and all three (sour cream and onion, tomato, and espresso) were just as amazing as ever. Food-wise, I stuck mainly to the classics with one new dish: - Pizza rolls: Very good but 3 pizza rolls for $20 felt small to me. I feel like I remember seeing others served more when I've gone in the past, but not completely sure. They're nostalgic and fun, nothing to die for. - Fries: Great as ever, we opted for just one of the sauces (avocado dill). - French Dip: This used to be cut in 3 pieces and now it's 2. Works well with a duo but I do think it's actually a little smaller now than before when I compare photos. - Samoa sundae: Still amazing, still so so worth. It was fun going with a friend who hadn't been before and seeing the joy upon trying the dish! Bar service is friendly as always and they do a decent job moving you along to ensure the necessary turnover without feeling too rushed.

Disclosure: My rating is based on the walk-in experience. The Corner Store doesn't offer…read morereservations for solo diners, reservations are notoriously difficult to get, and I waited about three hours in line for a seat. The Corner Store delivers genuinely excellent food at prices that feel refreshingly reasonable for New York City. My biggest criticism is that the restaurant can be overly particular about things that don't meaningfully improve hospitality or the guest experience. For example, I wasn't allowed to order a salad to go because of presentation standards and instead had to order it for dine-in before having it boxed up. The same mentality seemed to apply to the matchbooks, which were treated like prized collectibles despite being fairly standard restaurant matchbooks. The service was attentive and professional throughout, but great hospitality should make things easier for guests, not ask guests to accommodate the restaurant's preferences. One thing prospective walk-ins should know is that there is a significant difference between the walk-in and reservation experiences. Walk-ins are seated in the front bar area, which was much brighter and less moody than the spaces that made the restaurant famous online. The main dining room looked considerably more atmospheric and visually impressive, while the bar felt more like a standard upscale restaurant bar. After waiting three hours, it was hard not to feel like I was getting a different version of the experience than the one most people see on social media. The food was very good, but not so unique that it justified all the fuss. I'd rate it an 8/10 with a reservation and closer to a 6/10 as a walk-in.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water.
