    Sisig (pork and chicken)

We try to make it a point to try Filipino cuisine when there's one in a city or town that we visit. We were fortunate to have Adoboink in Roseville. I ordered their Veggie Pancit, while my beef-loving daughter got the Bulalo, my hubby got his usual Tapsilog fave. My son was debating on whether to get the Sisig bowl or the Sisig Bao. He settled for the bowl but asked to have a blended meat of pork and chicken. The food presentation was great. It was tasty, although more of a fusion flavor than Athena more familiar Filipino seasoning. Service was good and the location was conducive for small groups.

We've been wanting Filipino food and known about Adobink for a long time, so we finally gave it a try. We walked in and the place was smaller than I thought. They were couple of tables and some chairs for waiting. The interior was cutely decorated with so many Filipino items. The menu was a smaller selection of their catering menu. It was mostly rice bowls/place with a protein, their baos, lumpia and other other appetizers. Definitely felt like the menu had a modern twist. We got the sisig fries, pork lumpia, and lechon rice bowl with garlic rice. Food was great! Our kids loved the lumpia. The lechon was juicy and crispy. The sisig fries were good, but didn't taste like typical sisig to me. I like mine with a little more calamnsi flavor. We also got the halo halo and that was perfect. Price tag was a little higher but worth it seeing my kids devour it. It had ube ice cream, leche flan, sweet beans, and other yumminess. The staff were amazing! They were kind and attentive and just so pleasant. Things got busy but the wait wasn't too long. The owner was there working and made each interaction with customers personable. So excited to have a Filipino restaurant in the area. It's not your typical Filipino food but it hit the spot. Hoping we'll be back to try some of their silog items or maybe order some catering!

My return visit here was long overdue but so happy to update to 5 stars!! We came here for early impromptu lunch and luckily snagged a table inside before it got too busy! I wanted to try the longanisa burger again but it's unavailable now :( she said they may bring it back as a special in the future. I decided on a sisig chicken rice plate since I loved the pork sisig last time. It was even better than before with finely chopped aromatics and an egg! Now I just need a side of the vinegar sauce but luckily it came with my husband's longanisa plate so we shared. So delicious - I would buy that sauce by the jar! We had to finish off our meal with the ube crisp of course!! It came with ube ice cream this time and it was just as good as I remember! I was worried it would take long to come out since we didn't order until we finished eating our food but it wasn't too bad! I would recommend placing that order ahead of time though if you can! Service was amazing, the lady was so generous and accommodating, and so sweet to our kids. My only complaint here is that this place isn't in Elk Grove so I can come more often!

Wow na wow! Love this Filipino restaurant. The menu is not your typical one, it has a twist. Like their "bao" it's like siopao but the filing is adobo, sisig or beef tapa. My favorite is the rice bowl- they have 3 choices as well. Lechon, Sisig and Inasal. Oh and don't skip desert! Service is excellent too. Always feel welcome whenever we come here.

This was amazing!!!! Definitely come here if you want an authentic tasty Filipino food with a modernize touch to it. The restaurant gives street food vibes and the staff were so kind too!

Food was amazing. So flavorful! The lumpia was skinny but held so much flavor. We loved everything we got. Service was great. They were having issues with the pos but accommodated to us. Inside is smaller but has a long table for a bigger party. We love this place.

Was trying to find a new place to eat near work and stumbled across this women owned business. Walked in and was greeted with smiling faces and wonderful recommendations. Placed my order with ease and was very happy with the recommendation staff gave! The pancit special had such a good variety of their most popular items. I'll certainly be back.

What a find in Roseville. This place opens up early on the weekends. We needed breakfast after an all night casino binger. We ordered both longsilogs and the pork rib silog with a side of lumpia. You walk in and are welcomed with a warm greeting which feels a little like home. Both silogs were nicely presented and eggs were perfectly cooked. Giving this 5+ stars for the friendly service and amazing food. I'm a big fan of Adoboink.

Visiting from SoCal we did a search on Yelp on surrounding restaurants and Adoboink poped up and saw they had halo halo and viewed the menu and decided to check it out. We were welcomed by the staff behind the counter and instructed to view the menu on the board and place our order at the register. The service was amazing and ambiance was welcoming. We ordered the Pork Lumpia, Lecheon rice bowl, Inisal rice bowl and Halo Halo, the food was good and well seasoned. Until next time Enjoy!

My son and I wanted to try Filipino food in the Sacramento area and discovered Adoboink. It was a little bit hard to find but GPS pointed us in the right spot. It's a small place with a few tables inside. Love the decor. We were the only customers as it was late in the day on Sunday. Our order taker was friendly and we received our food in no time. I took one star off because the pancit wasn't as tasty, but the lechon was definitely chef's kiss. It was soooo soft and delicious I would definitely come back and try their other menu items. Please patronize this small business!!

It was our first time to try this place. The service was good. Unfortunately, the food was kind of bland and lacked flavor. I ordered the pancit special while my husband got the sisig bowl. Their portions are huge and good for sharing. The only downside was the flavor.

I finally got to try this filipino restaurant for lunch on Sunday. The ordering place is at the back of the restaurant. The place is quite small but it has some tables for dine in customers. - Lechon rice bowl with garlic rice: the skin was super crispy, the pork was very flavorful and tender. The rice was fluffy but the garlic flavor was very subtle. The vegetables were perfectly cooked - not mushy & well seasoned. - Chicken sisig bowl with garlic rice: just ok. The chicken pieces were tender but lack of flavor. - Pork oompa lumpia: the lumpia pieces were scrumptious!!! Instead of traditional rolled lumpia, they were shaped like fried wonton with the pork filing in the center. The wrap was super crispy and not oily. The pork filling was super flavorful and the meat was tender. - Sparkling calamansi drink: it was refreshing with a hint of sour lime and had perfect sweetness. - Chicken inasal with garlic rice: good. The chicken was perfectly cooked: tender and flavorful. The rice was fluffy.

FOOD - Oompia Lumpia: 3 open-faced lumpia. I tried both the pork and chicken. Both were good. 4/5 - Adobo Bao: pork adobo topped with slaw, in a steamed bun. Love a good bao. Side of fries. Pretty good fries. 4/5 - Pancit Special: clear noodles with chicken, lechon, sweet sausages, and vegetables. This plate is huge. Very filling. The meats were good but the flavor was okay. 3.75/5 - Chicken Sisig: chicken adobo with roasted veggies, onions, and jalapeños with rice. Good flavor. Big portion. 4/5 - Calamansi juice: Filipino lemonade. Very refreshing. My kiddos loved it. 4/5 SERVICE: Fast and very friendly. 5/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would come back. The food was good overall. I would like to try other items on the menu.

You can't really compare this to the bigger establishments like Seafood City or 99 Ranch or whatever - but from my vantage point they had a wide variety of food. The line threw me off a bit because it starts way in the corner near the produce section. I honestly didn't know if I was in line for the cashiers or the section where they serve cooked food haha. But overall, my experience was fine - I found what I needed, and now know of a store within a short drive when I move to this area and need ingredients that aren't normally found in regular supermarkets.

I didn't get to explore it much today, but the hot food counter is right when you walk in. I was instantly greeted and felt very welcome; the lady at the counter was extremely helpful. I wanted a plate with pancit, adobo, and lechon, and she said they had all of it. I also wanted to grab some lumpia and longanisa, but I decided to save that for my second trip. This massive plate, easily enough for two meals, came out to just under $13, which is insane. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes with hot food in hand. In terms of value, time, and service, this place is already killing it. But is the food good? It was perfect and exactly what I wanted today. Filipino cuisine isn't the healthiest, admittedly, just like one of my own cuisines, Mexican food. Probably best in moderation, but I digress. Sometimes you just want to indulge, and that's okay. From my limited knowledge, Filipino food is very meat-heavy, so come prepared for really flavorful, fatty, and meaty dishes. Now, onto the plate. The lechon, one of my all-time favorites, was perfectly crispy, juicy, and succulent. It was amazing dipped in what I believe is a liver-based sauce called "sarsa." It isn't really liver-y or gravy-like in flavor. Only the texture is gravy-like. The taste is sweet, tangy, and slightly acidic. Honestly, one of the most balanced sauce-to-meat combos ever. Perfect. The pork adobo was really good, too. I usually prefer chicken adobo, but pork is customary. It was definitely richer than the lechon, still delicious, but a lot to finish in one sitting. I always love the stewed texture and aromatic flavors of adobo. The pancit was a little different from what I'm used to. It seemed like it was cooked with a sauce and had a thicker noodle mixed in with the more familiar glass noodles, but it was still delicious. I loved that there were lots of veggies and even pieces of pork in it. This is a great place to stop by and indulge. They are serving excellent food and portions at a very commendable price point. I will definitely be back to try more, especially some of their baked goods like señorita bread. Awesome experience. I've said in other reviews how much I love traditional grocery stores that also serve hot food. Very fortunate to have so many to explore in the North Highlands area.
