But for the same price, we can get so much more at places like Oriental Market and just as delicious to satisfy our craving for Filipino food. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces out front, service was great and friendly. Seating space? Extremely limited, especially if you have a party of 5 or more. Best to order for takeout food which brings me to my main point - if I have to order Filipino takeout because of extremely limited seating, I'd rather simply get a la carte elsewhere and pay a lot less or hit up Rocklin area where there are restaurants that serve fantastic boba drinks with fantastic Filipino dishes for much more affordable prices! Is the food incredible? Yes! Will it satisfy your craving for Filipino food? Absolutely! Would I return? No, I wouldn't, to be perfectly honest. I ordered their Veggie Pancit, while my beef-loving daughter got the Bulalo, my hubby got his usual Tapsilog fave. My son was debating on whether to get the Sisig bowl or the Sisig Bao. He settled for the bowl but asked to have a blended meat of pork and chicken. The food presentation was great. We've been wanting Filipino food and known about Adobink for a long time, so we finally gave it a try. We walked in and the place was smaller than I thought. They were couple of tables and some chairs for waiting. The interior was cutely decorated with so many Filipino items. The menu was a smaller selection of their catering menu. We got the sisig fries, pork lumpia, and lechon rice bowl with garlic rice. Food was great! Our kids loved the lumpia. The lechon was juicy and crispy. The sisig fries were good, but didn't taste like typical sisig to me. I like mine with a little more calamnsi flavor. We also got the halo halo and that was perfect. My return visit here was long overdue but so happy to update to 5 stars!! We came here for early impromptu lunch and luckily snagged a table inside before it got too busy! I wanted to try the longanisa burger again but it's unavailable now :( she said they may bring it back as a special in the future. I decided on a sisig chicken rice plate since I loved the pork sisig last time. It was even better than before with finely chopped aromatics and an egg! Now I just need a side of the vinegar sauce but luckily it came with my husband's longanisa plate so we shared. So delicious - I would buy that sauce by the jar! We had to finish off our meal with the ube crisp of course!! It came with ube ice cream this time and it was just as good as I remember! Wow na wow! Love this Filipino restaurant. The menu is not your typical one, it has a twist. Like their "bao" it's like siopao but the filing is adobo, sisig or beef tapa. Filipino food in Roseville! Had a wonderful meal at Adoboink this week. We both left feeling very stuffed and satisfied. While I'm not the most familiar with Filipino food (other than knowing chicken adobo, longanisa, tocino, lumpia and Jollibee), my husband loves it, so he was excited to try some dishes. Turns out the owners (husband and wife team) are from Daly City, where there's tons of great Filipino food. When they moved here, they realized there aren't any good Filipino restaurants around the area, which is how Adoboink came to existence. I asked how owner Maylani got the idea for the restaurant name and she said she wanted to merge Adobo with pork, since a lot of people only think of chicken adobo. So not only do they have chicken and pork, but they also have several vegan/vegetarian dishes, that aren't usually found in Filipino establishments. We ordered the Lechon (pork belly rice bowl) and the Sisig fries. Both were full of flavor and had just the right amount of seasoning and flavor. I did not like the basmati rice that the Lechon came with. Found it to be too dry. However, they give you this unique apple butter sauce on the side, so it probably wouldn't be so bad if you mixed that with the rice. Husband liked the rice though. Their roasted pork belly was amazing. They use pork tenderloin in the center of their roast and then have the fatty pieces surrounding the tenderloin, so you have a perfect balance (instead of the usual pork belly that is often too fatty). The sisig fries were interesting to try. When Maylani was first taking our orders, she asked if we wanted rice, garlic rice or fries and I was confused. Fries at a Filipino place? But it was definitely fun to try. Had the jalapeno and anything spicy on the side. The table next to us ordered the Pancit Special, which is rice noodles, chicken, pork belly, garlic sweet sausage and vegetables for only $15.99. It looked AMAZING. At that point, we were already stuffed, otherwise we would have ordered that to try. Next time. Also got to try the Turon, which is a Filipino banana fritter, and the Leche Flan. Husband loved both. The leche flan was a little too rich/dense for my liking---I guess I'm more used to the Mexican (?) flan that's more light and not as creamy. Had a wonderful meal and pleasant conversation with the owners. Nice little establishment near the Walmart on Lead Hill Blvd in Roseville. Not a lot of seating inside, so plan accordingly. Saw a lot of to-go orders while we were there. Even people who were going to Erik's Delicafe next door came in to grab a menu and commented about how good it smelled inside. They seem to sell out of the popular items early (like the longanisa, tocino and Insasal chicken leg quarters) so if you want those items, probably best to go early. They open at 7am! Delicious! Came here for the first time. It's located in a strip mall towards the back of the Walmart shopping lot. I didn't realize that there were a small collection of shops in that area. Went for dinner around 6:30 pm. They close at 7 pm and had run out of a variety of foods by then. They had different foods available on their online menu versus what is on the board and the menu seemed disorganized. Tried the pancit special which has lechon and chicken on top of pancit. The lechon had perfectly crispy skin and good flavor. The pancit had a different flavor but it was good. It was a decent sized portion for the price. Finally, there's an awesome Filipino restaurant in the Roseville area. I also found out that the owners are transplants from the Bay Area just like me! Need more awesome restaurant owners to bring their skills and yummy food over to this side of California. This is a nice and clean little place in Roseville near the Wal-Mart with plenty of parking. Once I walked in the door, the owner and staff immediately greeted me. That goes a long way in making one feel welcome. For my first time here, I ordered the Lechon rice bowl and the Chicken Sisig for my wife and I to share. We were able to find a nice comfy table right in front of the preparation area and could watch the magic being made. Let's start with the Lechon rice plate. I ordered it with the garlic rice and it came with the all-important Lechon which is roast pork, garlic rice, and a garnish of zucchini, squash, and carrots. Most of the time, Filipino plates don't come with veggies.... so way to go in making this healthier. :-) It also comes with an apple butter sauce on the side and also a vinegar-based dipping sauce with chopped onions and a kick. The Lechon was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and had a lot of lean meat which I like. The skin was crackling with a perfect amount of fat that wasn't overwhelming. The rice and veggies were a perfect accompaniment to this wonderful dish. For the price, this was a large portion and will be much appreciated by big appetites. For the Sisig, it is available with pork or chicken. We opted for the chicken as we also had the Lechon and also opted for the fries. The Sisig was masterfully presented on top of the fries that were drizzled with apple butter. The meat was perfectly prepared, seasoned well and juicy. I would definitely order this again. We also had a chance to try the Leche flan and the Turon. The flan was decadent, rich, sweet, and tasty--all that you would expect from a perfectly prepared flan dessert. I've never had Turon before, which is basically a lumpia with banana and caramel drizzle. This was also very tasty. If you are looking for spectacular Filipino fare, look no further than Adoboink. I am always in the hunt for some good sisig ever since I had it in NY. The sisig here was not really what I'm used to. The food was good, but, I feel like it's not as authentic. One thing that I really didn't care for was the basmati rice. It changed the texture of the dish. Nice and central location with excellent customer service. I met with my mom (a.k.a. Lola) there and she had no trouble finding it (she will be 83 this year). We dined in and the tables were clean and the restaurant itself was nice and cozy. Lola ordered the Lechon and garlic rice bowl and I ordered the Inasal and garlic rice bowl, then for dessert she got Turon and I got Flan. Each dish was a hearty portion, we could have easily shared and been full off of one but it is nice to have left overs as well. It was a cute little spot they were in, and I was really really hoping that they would be good. I love supporting Filipino businesses. It is a tight spot in terms of space, so I'd advise large groups may have a tough time trying to fit. The positives include: large portions and free water. However, the food was just OK. Yelp lists that as 3 stars, so I'll give them that rating. I wasn't sure what exactly to order, since there are a number of tantalizing options on the menu. I went with the sisig plate, and that was ok. I felt that because of the fusion aspect of the resto, the flavors weren't as hard punching as other places in the area when it comes to sisig. The vegetables were ok. But were a good reminder that they were fusion, since they were just...there. The garlic rice wasn't very garlicky, and I'm a guy that loves sinangag, so the more garlicky it is, the better. There was also sisig fries, and they were ok. I may have enjoyed those more than the rice plate. The lumpia were just longer versions of lumpiang shanghai, so not sure why there are people that were disappointed in the reviews about "filling". I guess Roseville isn't a hotspot of Filipino cuisine, and the demographics of the area force some of the decisions, but if you're willing to drive, there are numerous places in Sac for better Filipino--including fusion. read more

What's up with the rice? is that basmati rice because that isn't fried rice like what it said from the online menu. Maybe garlic fried rice would have been more appropriate with the Silog orders or even a plain white steamed rice would do. I did like the tapa on the Tapsilog as the beef was tender, flavorful and tasty. I was driving past Adoboink and had to stop. It's not often you see Filipino restaurants in this area.... I walked in to a very small storefront, pinoy decorations adorning the walls, with about a half dozen tables of various sizes situated around the counter and food prep area. I ordered the Adobao and a buko pandan dessert. The little baos with pork adobo, their signature slaw with mango, and their signature sauce was awesome! The dessert was good... it was comprised of pandan flavoured gelatine squares and buko (coconut) strips in a condensed milk sauce. It was refreshing after the meal. They must also be focusing on their catering services for special events and occasions which we are willing to try as there are not a lot of places catering delicious Filipino foods around the area. Their staff were there to help you out, they were nice, friendly and and highly focused on providing good customer- service. The place looked clean but not too big. Their prices are moderately high but good enough for the quality and taste of the Filipino foods we ordered and tasted. BE JELLY OF MY LECHON BELLY Finally got to stop in and try Adoboink in Roseville, happy to support a local area API-owned business, especially as a Fil-Am myself. I tagged along with two friends who were already planning to go anyway for a concurrent event and I gladly paid out-of-pocket to check out their menu myself and give Adoboink some extra love. Overall, 4 stars. Arrived after 6 PM on a Thursday, and they close at 7 PM. Located between Great Clips and Erik's Deli/Panda Express near the back end of the Walmart complex on Lead Hill. Fairly small interior, with the line to order single-file near the tables along that green wall. Philippine decor such as the wood engraving of the Philippines, giant wooden fork and spoon, imagery of Mount Mayon volcano, woven fans, etc. Some smaller 2-stool high tables, a long table, and regular/medium-sized tables and chairs. If full/occupied, standing room while waiting. Their menu boasts several silogs (pork ribs, tapa [cured beef], sisig [pork or chicken], longanisa [sausage]) which is traditionally garlic rice, fried egg, and protein. For appetizers, their "oompa lumpia" comes in either pork, chicken, or avocado and is open-faced rather than rolled in the wrappers. You can also order rolled pork or vegetable lumpia, sisig nachos, or sisig fries. From their Bao section of the menu, you can do adobao which is adobo on a steamed bun, sisig, or beef tapa baos. Rice bowl choices are lechon (roast pork belly), sisig (minced pork or chicken), inasal (grilled chicken leg quarter), adobo (chicken or pork), or pancit special (noodles, lechon, chicken, garlic sweet sausage). Vegetarian options were eggplant bao, roasted eggplant, or veggie pancit noodles. Sides include fries, steamed rice, fried garlic rice, chicken pancit, egg, or avocado. Desserts are turon (like a banana lumpia), leche flan, buko pandan (cold coconut jelly fruit salad), coffee jelly, ube crisp, ice cream (ube or coconut), or halo-halo. On Fridays and weekends, they also carry bulalo beef bone marrow broth/soup. I get that they're fusion, but I was not adventurous enough to go for the baos format. Maybe if they had a trio where you could mix/match bao flavors? Or if only the lechon or longanisa were included as a bao filling...Names called and pick up food, utensils, condiments (soy sauce, banana ketchup, sriracha, vinegar), and self-serve ice water at the front counter near the entrance. To share, we split one order of the pork oompa lumpia, which had a little spice. Very crispy and good flavor, a little awkward to eat. I didn't try the chicken or avocado oompa lumpia this time. Again, if they had a trio/flight to try all the flavors? I also snuck a bite of the sisig fries which were alright (served with a lemon wedge), but could use actual calamansi for more punch/kick, chili, and liver to be a little more authentic. Also tasted the pork adobo meat/sauce and this was also alright, with intact garlic cloves! I originally wanted to get the pancit special but they sold out of all pansit right before I got up to the counter. I did manage to get the last order of lechon rice bowl for the day/night, though, which turned out to be good. The pork meat was moist and flavorful, skin could be a bit more crispy/golden brown. There were some fatty pieces but not overly so. Not sure what other reviews meant about basmati rice, maybe that's just the garlic rice? Because the rice in my bowl was definitely short-grain white rice. Lechon bowl came with a side of garlic/onion vinegar, I don't believe it was spiced, not sure if it was cane or coconut vinegar either. I added a little soy sauce. As another reviewer wrote, I'm partial to the Mang Tomas brand "all-purpose sauce" especially for lechon. The roasted vegetables (carrot, cauliflower, zucchini and squash) did throw me off a bit. I would have taken avocado, pickled cucumber/papaya, green beans, squash, potato, eggplant, or something leafy as a more appropriate side veg for this dish. The pork adobo rice bowl also came with the same roasted vegetables. For dessert, I shared the leche flan and the buko pandan. The flan had a nice not-too-firm, not-too-soft texture, decent but more caramel sauce please! The buko pandan came with the macapuno coconut strings and green-colored gelatin cubes and was not bad. I would love if it also had tapioca pearls, nata de coco, or kaong (sugar palm fruit), but that's just me! There was a little wait to get the food as there were a lot of customers all at once, and some to-go orders too for pickup, but we were able to start on apps before mains came out, and still had room for dessert. I'm not in Roseville too often, but I think this is a valiant effort to introduce Filipino food to the area. I understand the attempt at fusion, and their menu is broad enough to get a good sampling of the cuisine, albeit in a modern style. read more
