But for the same price, we can get so much more at places like Oriental Market and just as delicious to satisfy our craving for Filipino food. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces out front, service was great and friendly. Seating space? Extremely limited, especially if you have a party of 5 or more. Best to order for takeout food which brings me to my main point - if I have to order Filipino takeout because of extremely limited seating, I'd rather simply get a la carte elsewhere and pay a lot less or hit up Rocklin area where there are restaurants that serve fantastic boba drinks with fantastic Filipino dishes for much more affordable prices! Is the food incredible? Yes! Will it satisfy your craving for Filipino food? Absolutely! Would I return? No, I wouldn't, to be perfectly honest. Regardless, I feel it's worth a try if you haven't yet but just be mindful of the highs and lows. It's not all great, but it's not all bad. Mediocre and average, at the very least, given all factors. Do I have high expectations of Filipino restaurants? You bet I do!

I personally like roaming through the sauces aisles and ice cream section. There is a hot foods area and a bubble tea shop that I didn't get to check out, but they looked good. My sister and I went here because she likes the sago't gulaman drink from the boba place inside the grocery store. She treated me to halo-halo and it was delicious! A perfect cold treat on a warm day. They are generous with the beans and toppings and the price is reasonable for the amount and quality. For both drinks, I believe she paid around $15 and we place our order using the convenient kiosk. I also found black sesame rice roll snacks there so I was happy about that too. They have a specific area for lining up for the cash registers so just look for the sign. Definitely will be coming back soon!

I had already looked over the menu and knew I wanted to try the Pork Belly Sisig. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I placed my order and added a spontaneous milk tea with boba, 'cause why not live a little. Food and drink came out quickly. The pork belly sisig was great, and consisted of shredded browned pork belly with a side of pickled veggies over a bed of rice, with a fried egg and two pieces of lumpia, garnished with a touch of diced white onion. Very tasty. I ordered the Jasmine Tea boba. Pro-tip: you can ask for less sweet on the teas. He customized my milk tea at 50% sweetness. I look forward to coming back to try the pork adobo, order more lumpia and try the spam musubi. It's been awhile since I've had good Filipino food! I grew up in a very culturally diverse area and missed these dishes, so I'm stoked to have this available right down the street from my work. The pancit tasted just like the ones my aunties made. Loved that it came with a lemon wedge instead of a lemon juice packet. There was a good amount of meat where most places put way too many vegetables. The lumpia was crispy and filling was fresh. The halo-halo was spot on with all the best stuff in it. Service was a little chaotic. The staff were all in the back busy working so there wasn't anyone in the front if you needed anything. But someone did come out if you needed help. Not fancy, not trying to be trendy... just home-style food prepared with care and ready when hunger hits. The teriyaki chicken bowl was delicious with a savory sauce that wasn't overly heavy or too sweet, but honestly the standout for me was the Filipino food menu. The lechon, chicken adobo, and pancit really make this place feel extra special and local. The food has that comforting homemade feeling that reminds you why smaller family style spots are usually the hidden gems. And of course... I couldn't leave without getting the halo-halo. I went with the avocado version because honestly... green dessert for the green T-Rex just made sense. Instant happiness. This is the kind of place that may not look fancy on the outside, but the food brings that comforting home-cooked feeling that keeps people loyal. I was hoping to try their kare kare, as it's one of my favorite Filipino dishes but sadly it's only offered on Fridays and Saturdays. We went ahead and ordered a pork adobo ricebowl, tapsilog, lumpia, sago't gulaman, and lechon kawali. Everything we ordered was tasty and came out hot and quick. We particularly liked the flavor and tenderness of the pork adobo and the lumpia was very crispy. I also love that they have a vinegar dispenser on the side for all your sawsawan needs which goes great with the meat dishes. Will definitely be back to try more dishes, especially their kare kare and dessert options.
