From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed and taken care of. I had a takeout order, but I was still treated as a dine-in customer. This location has been in operation since 2008, and I encourage you to check it out if you're in the area and enjoy authentic Thai food.

Friendly and fast service every time. Great prices and delicious noodle dishes. Highly recommend

This is our initial experience ordering from this restaurant. Unfortunately, it has been quite disappointing. All the dishes lacked flavor and were rather bland. The portion of the curry certainly does not justify the $17 price tag. It's the worst Thai food I've ever encountered. The only positive aspect I can mention is the service; the gentleman at the register was very courteous and welcoming.

Ordered the lunch special #1 which was a minced chicken dish with onions, bell peppers, and basil drenched in garlic sauce. It was delicious and comforting! We also had the gift egg roll. It was just the right taste and the sweet and sour sauce complemented it well. The service was top notch for a quiet weekday afternoon. We also love how they give out Kit Kat bars instead of fortune cookies! Ambiance felt like we were in a different world too! Loved everything about this place!

i was craving some thai food, this place came up on recommended near me. when we came in we were greeted automatically and the guy was accommodating to our stroller which was so nice! we ordered pad thai with chicken and coconut chicken soup. ohhh boy this was so good! the portions are big and the food is hot! the soup came out in such a unique metal bowl that kept the soup hot the whole time. the employee was constantly checking in on us, refilling our water and always making sure we are happy. the food was so flavorful, perfectly balanced and served beautifully. thank you so much for a great experience khobkoon thai!

Came on Saturday lunch. Not super busy but definitely has few people doing pick up and dining. At first we are the only people around 12pm which surprises us. This place look small from outside but definitely has lots of tables. The guy seems like the owner very polite friendly guy. Their utensils look clean and they provided a lot of set of plates and utensils based on the dishes. But the plates and utensils definitely look very clean compared to a lot of other places. We ordered chicken pas sew ew, som tum, coconut soup and rice. The rice definitely doesn't smell fresh from same day, it has slightly smell from a steamer reheat So probably from previous day. The only cons about ordering the steam rice. The others dishes taste very good, fresh, hot and flavor is good. Definitely will be back and recommend this to my friends and family. The only thing is probably won't recommend the white rice lol. Service is great, food is good and definitely look like a small business run by the owner so quality of the food seems pretty good. Definitely will be back.

Pad kee mao - not good!
    Kevina T.

Maybe it's just the noodle dishes, but I have ordered the pad see ew and pad kee mao, and both dishes are so watery. Since the restaurant is close by, I have ordered these dishes more than once (out of pure convenience), and unfortunately they were consistently watered down. So disappointing since I love Thai food so much.

I would recommend they check the hours and change on Yelp. We tried to go Sunday at 6:00 and they were already closed? It's very disappointing arriving to a dark restaurant with a big closed sign during open hours.

    Are they closed?

    Looks like it 😒

I've gone over twice this week and they have a "closed" sign during normal business hours. What is happening? I'm concerned !!!!

I'm happy to report, they're still in business and the food is still delicious! 😋

Their interior design and artwork is probably the best I've seen in Roseville. Bountiful crayons and coloring for kids - convenient for parents! Every item we ordered was absolutely muy fantastico! Love that you can specify spice levels 1-4 for many of their food selections. Personally, I feel level 2 spice is our sweet spot (we tried 3 and it was a bit too much). My take? 1 Mild spicy, 2 Moderate spicy, 3 Very spicy, 4 Killer hot spicy. Our mix this visit - MTK money bags, pad thai with shrimp (no spice), pineapple fried rice with shrimp (no spice), panang curry with chicken (spice level 3 - bit much for us), thai iced tea (1 dine in free refill! Not for takeout though), sticky rice, and beef salad (least favorite, not worth the price tag IMO). Excellent Thai food and absolutely worth a visit for foodie lovers locally! Probably not worth going far out of your way but great spot to satisfy your Thai cravings if you're in the area.

I ordered the Pad Mee Kow or Drunken Noodles with Beef just based off Yelp photos. I don't normally order this dish, but it's the best I've had. Noodles intact and not stuck together. Lots of beef. Not the most tender meat, so maybe pork would be better. On my next lunch visit, I ordered Pad Ka Prow with Ground Pork & Brown Rice and a small Crystal Noodles Soup. You can choose a spice level from 1 (mild) to 5 (most spicy). I chose level 3, but I probably would be happier with level 1 or 2. Choice of jasmine rice or brown rice. I enjoyed the chewy texture and appearance of the brown rice. Pad Ka Prow is tasty. I loved the Crystal Noodles Soup. It's seasoned well with lots of ingredients, like chicken, wood ear mushrooms, and Napa cabbage. There are 5 different soups that you can order as a Small portion, including Tom Yum, Tom Kha, and Wonton Soup. I look forward to trying more soups. I liked the ambiance, pretty Thai decor, muted green dining room, and easy listening music, often love songs. Thai Basil would be a good restaurant for a date. I had placed an order to go. I had no idea how expensive Thai food was. I think I got three different meals. I got an appetizer platter to try multiple things pad Thai and then something else that I don't remember the name of. I believe it's a family owned business and the daughter was the one who helped me. She was very sweet and I asked her for a suggestion on the appetizers. I believe she suggested green curry empanadas but I'm not 100% sure. I walked in and it definitely gave hole in the wall vibes. They had my food ready and were very kind. Everything came out to about $70 or $80. I did a food review. You can always check it out on my TikTok (wehave_hotwater) the food was good. I gave away a good amount of it because there was so much!! On Sundays, she's in the kitchen cooking and turning out amazing dishes as well! Last Sunday I brought vegetarian family over for lunch and we ordered my goto safe and tasty silver noodles. It is made of mung bean which gives this clear noodle look and quite chewy. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and savory but not spicy at all unless you tell them to. Wife had their spring rolls and kids had drunken noodles no spicy. They are very accommodating with all sorts of requests like no eggs no onion no garlic etc and wanting soft tofu rather than fried tofu. I saw how many new specials they have plastered on the window and inside entrance, I knew I had to bring my parents over this Sunday! We came in today and order the crying tiger. We do wish it to be rarer for more soft texture but the flavor was great. My parents liked the ocean in love with the lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops over spiced veggies. The BBQ pork ribs was another safe choice of mild and savory Sweet flavor while the meat was tender. I didn't try the tom yum shrimp fried rice but my parents liked it as it has coconut flavor and it was literally a mountain of fried rice! Spicy though and I had to refrain while letting my GI heal from recent injury. Upon placing the orders, the owner quickly came out to see if it was really us! That's how we found out she cooks in the kitchen as well when she is needed in there. Always a pleasure and loving the innovation of new dishes. We also love their curry puffs!
