I've had their birria tacos before and they were good so, today after a long day I ordered their regular carne asada tacos and one chicken asada taco and they were TERRIBLE. Save your money and order something else from their menu, like their birria. I ended up getting birria tacos instead. The service was not the greatest, a little attitude and not customer friendly. I believe they have new management team and food is way better than before. The prices are pretty inexpensive, I got Asada Burrito with extra meat with tax and tip total up $19.19. Got this to go and it's about a 30 minutes walk back home and it was still warm. Yes, I can get a burrito from Chipotle but it's not close by me and ordering delivery would be double of what I paid here. The burrito was hefty, I could only finish half and saved the rest for next day for lunch. The meat were juicy, not dry and full of flavors. Comes with rice, beans and pico de gallo. I get a bag of cheese from Ralphs to do the modification of having a crispy cheese crust and that made the burrito into a 9.2 out of 10. (see pic) Overall, I'm glad this place isn't cash only anymore and the food is much better than before. Definately coming back when I'm craving a burrito or carne asada fries. The breakfast burrito changed my life!!! Spotted in on the way down from LA to San Diego and my boyfriend and I decided to split the breakfast burrito which ended up being the best decision because they are massive! The burrito is loaded with perfectly scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheese and bacon. The salsa are so fresh and tasty. Definitely definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

This will be the last time I come to this Adolphus Mexican Food restaurant because the new management don't know what they're doing when you asked for two chicken tacos you're supposed to ask do you want hard shell or soft shell? They just took my order and charge me $10 the previous management these chicken hardshell tacos were really good but look at this mess. You can't even tell it a taco and I hate our avocado didn't even ask if I wanted it.. I'm never coming back here again. I go to the one off Al Road and Lake Forest. I heard they changed new owners so I decided to come, and I tried their fillet and OMG it was a crispiest fillet i have tried. I'm so glad I came here with my family. Also, we met the owner. Waited over 30minutes for rolled tacos & a quesadilla takeout. I get it a large group was in before me but then as I watched others who ordered after me get their orders and all the friendliness of extras thrown in I had high hopes my meal would be worth it. I personally really liked the California burrito from here, I was skeptical to try since other reviews mentioned a recent change of ownership, but I'm happy to say it did not disappoint. The asada wasn't dry and everything was well distributed inside. I didn't like that a lot of the fries inside were cut into smaller pieces and the salsas weren't noteworthy but also not complaint worthy. The woman at the front was really nice, the store takes Apple Pay, and service (order taking and cook time) was quick. read more

I occasionally come to Adolfo's when I'm looking for some simple Mexican food. Today I was craving chicken taquitos. The options are either three or five taquitos. Three is never enough five is almost too many and fours probably just about enough. They were crispy and not greasy but they tasted very oily overall. And there was very little chicken inside. They were topped with guacamole and shredded cheddar.Overall, there wasn't really a lot of flavor to them. It just tasted like fried tortilla. I was able to call in the order which was helpful.
