Since they open, I have never been here because of the bad reviews. I reviews. I heard they changed new owners so I decided to come, and I tried their fillet and OMG it was a crispiest fillet i have tried. I'm so glad I came here with my family. Also, we met the owner. He is super nice and great customer service. My husband order tacos de Asada and Pastor and both were super juicy and yummy. Also, the atmosphere is super nice and calm. Very clean too. Agua fresca de jamica is my favorite. We for sure will be coming often.

They were extremely friendly here. The breakfast burrito is huge, delicious, and very filling! Their salsa is tasty, the prices are fair for the portions that you get. Food was made to order quickly, the crispy tacos were good, the regular tacos are stuffed with meat. Clean and will run store, open early and late. Great option for an affordable meal in the area!

A messy chicken drowned in avocado I think!!

This will be the last time I come to this Adolphus Mexican Food restaurant because the new management don't know what they're doing when you asked for two chicken tacos you're supposed to ask do you want hard shell or soft shell? They just took my order and charge me $10 the previous management these chicken hardshell tacos were really good but look at this mess. You can't even tell it a taco and I hate our avocado didn't even ask if I wanted it.. I'm never coming back here again. I go to the one off Al Road and Lake Forest. That's where the original crew went. That's where the good food is and that's the place that I highly recommend. You guys try out. .

Omg soooo good , my Dad always told me if you see a restaurant with clean windows , they run a good ship , guess what clean windows and the best , carnitas , chicken taco hard shell , and a small grilled Serrano pepper , my nephew had never tried one so he asked me to try , he took a 1/8 inch slice and boom the back of his head was gone !! Love this place been here 7 years the best

Fresh and delicious! The fajitas were amazing and the bean and cheese burrito was pretty good as well. The salsas were on point, the red(habanero) being a favorite. The staff was very friendly.

    Excellent menu and very reasonable!

Haven't been here in years, but heard an old friend of ours is the new owner and had to try it out! Boy, were we glad we did! The new owner Tommy has some excellent cooks and the food is so authentic! Best birria tacos and chili rellano I have ever had!! And very reasonable prices! We will definitely return!

One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

Great little town to explore. This was our lunch spot. We had already walked for a couple hours. Avila's is a beautiful restaurant and fairly spacious. There is parking on both sides of the street among the shops on Avenida del mar. We were really thirsty and the busboy, Christian, got us 3 iced teas and chips like within 2 minutes. Super nice. Rafael was our waiter, and we ordered quickly. 1. Two taco combo platter, chicken and shredded beef. 2. Tacos and Caldo, my friend ordered with tacos. 3. Mama Avila's soup which came with chicken and lots of other things, and a tortilla. All 3 were delicious and filling. I always get a two taco combo plate since I love this meal, and to compare to other restaurants. This was great. The tacos perfect and flavorful. We will come back. Next time I will order the fajitas. I believe this is a chain with like 10 stores or so, so check to see if any are in your area. A very nice lunch with two fine lady friends as well. Thx Rafael for always checking on us and the iced teas to go.

Great amount of flavor. Didn't require any salsa or anything to help enhance it. Juicy and just well-made. Their chips were fresh out of the oven or at least tasted like it still warm. The braised pork was cooked perfectly, flavorful, juicy, and incredibly tender. We also ordered the Tacos De Hongo ($39), which were excellent as well. The prime outside skirt steak was perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the portobello mushrooms and grilled onions. Thanks to our server for recommending these two dishes, I might have ordered something completely different otherwise! For dessert, we had the Butter Cake ($16), and it was outstanding. So far, it's the best butter cake I've ever had. The service was excellent! Our server was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He confidently told me it was the best around if you're looking for a breakfast burrito, so naturally, I put him to the test. I grew up and worked in Los Angeles for over 40 years and have had my fair share of great burritos. The burrito came out quickly (I was the third customer), and the presentation was very nice, cut in half and served with chips and salsa. It was hot and clearly made fresh to order. The shredded beef had a slight crisp to it without being dry or overcooked, and there was a generous amount inside. The bell peppers were cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, and still had a nice crunch. The Colby Jack cheese paired with the refried beans, eggs and really rounded everything out and took the flavor to another level. This was easily one of the best machaca burritos I've had. Jose was absolutely right, and I appreciate the recommendation. Afterward, I had the chance to chat with Jose and learned that this is a family-owned restaurant. He truly exemplifies great customer service, and I enjoyed the conversation just as much as the meal. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to others.
