Probably the most basic manicure I've had in awhile. Pros: -nice to show me a chrome style before applying to my nails, switched up last minute. -fairly decent job with the dip manicure. No bumps or imperfections. -clean place when I appreciate. Cons: -the manicurist left some red on my nails form my last dip job which was a bummer -left red from my last dip manicure all over my skin and under my nails, so I'm going to have to go home and clean it off myself -does a massage not come with a manicure anymore?! -edited: got home and realized all my nails are different lengths. Had a pedicure today that was nothing special but my nails look better. Been going here for 10 plus years staff is nice and owners great. They increased their prices by 20% I understand increases but now the price is more than nail salons in area who offer paraffin and Callus removal for less. They used to offer wine or champagne that was a nice perk. I will now be trying other salons since they offer more for the same price. read more

I always get gel and I'm not kidding when I say it lasted for an entire month. Yes, it grew out, but it just shows the attention to detail they have and quality of polish and process. I made an appointment 2 days ago for 1 pm. they were running very late and by the time the technician started 25 minutes later, I received the fastest pedicure ever. I was not asked which type of pedicure I wanted and 20 minutes later, with no exfoliation, no foot massage, and extremely rushed, it was done. So very disappointed and watched other customers also wait for at least 30 minutes. I have gone to this salon previously and was satisfied, but they have lost my business. I do not recommend. I should have walked out at 20 minutes late as the line got longer. read more

Highly recommend! Always feel like I'm treated special here. Very clean salon, which is great during COVID. All the technicians are great, but my go-to is Tee. She's a hard worker, professional, and does a mean pedicure. Be sure to get the massage add on, so worth it! I also appreciate the quirky and funny receptionist ... she always makes me smile. The staff makes you feel like you have invaded their private hang out and do everything possible to make sure they provide a service which guarantees that result. The service was great. The wait was unacceptable. We had pedicure appointments scheduled for 1:00 on Sunday. We waited 30 minutes. The gentleman scheduling the appointments needs to pay attention to timing. None of the customers in the salon before us were walk ins. Why did he give us appointments at 1:00? Just upped from 2 stars to 3 stars. A staff member was absent, but that still wouldn't have eliminated the 30 minute wait for one of us. read more

I have been coming to this place to get shellac manis ever since I moved to the Pearl, since it's just around the corner from where I live. However, I have noticed increasing amounts of trash talk about customers in their native language (I understand Vietnamese). At first, they were just off hand comments about what random customers wore that I tried to ignore due to the fact that this place is so convenient to me. But the more I thought about it, and the more I experienced it every time I got a shellac fill here, I decided I'm not about that life. My last straw with them was when they fat-shamed an older customer and on the same day when I told them I wanted a french mani, my nail gal cussed under her breath at me (not knowing I understood everything she said) - I guess shellac french manis are a little trickier to do, compared to normal manis but you know what? You are in the business of nails - customers are literally paying you to hone your craft because you are in this particular industry. Life tip: If you don't want to do a particular nail service, don't advertise it as an add-on service...and stop complaining in your native language thinking others won't understand. Not only is it disrespectful, it is down right sickening when customers who don't understand Vietnamese are being nice to you and you smile at their face while shit-talking about them. I have tried a few other nail places out and my favorite walking distance nail salon in the Pearl district is this place called Polish off NW Pettygrove. Just tasteful background music (they don't ever fill the air in their native language - which happens to be Chinese - another language that I understand) and the only time they chat with each other in Chinese is to inquire where things are (tools, nail polish, etc). Oh, and they actually have disposable tools that they throw away each time per use (free of charge), so you never have to be forced to purchase or bring your old nail kit. Bye Adore. read more

The only reason I'm giving this place 1 star is because the customer service was great, the girl that helped me was super nice. As soon as they sit you they offer you something to drink like wine, champagne, tea, coffee or water. But the service was horrible; the worst I've ever had tbh. I usually have a hard time finding a good nail place where they don't thin out my natural nails so this is always my main concern. This is exactly what happened here. She made my nails paper thin when removing the gel, left my nails super crooked after I told her to make them more even and the gel that she applied was clumpy at the tip of my nails. Now my nails are super fragile and I'll probably have to cut them short and grow them out again. read more

Disappointed. I took a 14 year old here for her birthday. Made an appointment specifically for her to have a nail art manicure. I made sure she asked out loud for nail art when she sat down (she is very shy!) the lady doing her nails said the ONE woman who does art was busy and would she be ok just doing two colors instead. She said ok. What else was she supposed to say?! She's 14! I went to check on her and she said she still wanted nail art but they couldn't do it. If you make an appointment for something, I guess you have to fight to get what you want because they are just going to say they can't do it. If you can't accommodate one kid on their birthday... that's bummer service (especially if we made an appointment for exactly that!). Very disappointing. After reading millions of yelp reviews I decided to visit Adore. I am so extremely picky when it comes to my nails (like beyond picky) probably why it's taken so long to find a good place to call home for my mani and pedi time. First impressions are everything. First thing when you walk in, all the ladies greet you. My appointment was at 3 and I was seated at 3:05. Which is rare anywhere I have been to. Normally I wait 10-15 minutes or longer. Kim offered a beverage. Water, tea or wine. I had my little one with me and so I picked water lol. She let my daughter hang out next to me while I had my pedi, my daughter also had her tablet so she was good to go! Besides the phenomenal pedi. My time was just about to expire on my parking and I asked if I could skip my massage. Instead of saying yes! Kim said no! And her sister literally ran to my car and paid my meter so Icould have the whole experience. That was probably the nicest thing they could have done. I've had to skip massages at previous places because I usually have my daughter and some times kids get tired of waiting. I will definitely be a long time customer! read more

Kim H. penned the sincerest of apologies, confirmed that the manicure did not meet the salon's top quality standards, and was genuine in offering to make the situation right. What I most appreciated about Kim's message was that it did not insist I come back in the next day to rectify the manicure gone wrong. It asked that I give the salon another chance to provide the best quality manicure, at their expense, when I am ready. After receiving Kim's message, I will give them another shot . Previous Review: My friend gets amazing gel manicures and pedicures here all the time! I excitedly joined her today. She got a fantastic gel manicure and great spa pedi, while I got what could possibly be the worst gel manicure in the history of gel manis and an ok spa pedi. Full disclaimer, my cuticles were in rough shape upon entering, but my nails were all long and even in length. I asked for an oval shape for my fingernails, but got a mix of inconsistent round, pointy, sharp, and off center nails of varying lengths. I even asked her to fix them, but it didn't help. I honestly think the tech didn't have experience with the shape. She used a very gritty file on my natural nails, which left some ragged edges, broke one of my nails, even ripped up some cuticles. The polish was applied unevenly, so after curing they looked bumpy and thick, instead of smooth and glossy. The pedicure experience itself was nice, the spa was clean, the massaging chair worked, and was overall pretty relaxing. I didn't inspect my finished toenails too finely after painting because the salon was closing and rushing to clean everything around us, the last 2 people. I felt uncomfortable and just wanted to pay and leave. When I got home, I tried to reshape my fingernails but had to file them ALL down just to get a consistent shape on all 10 nails. Honestly, they just look stupid now. I also ended up filing and reshaping my toenails, as a few had super sharp corners and all were different shapes and lengths. The filing ended up ruining the paint job. But, I'm too aggravated to remove the paint and re-do them. I wanted to love this place. Maybe I got an inexperienced technician or maybe the tech was rushing because they were closing. I don't know, but I don't think I'll be back. read more

Adore Day Spa is hands down the best nail salon in Portland, and may even be the best manicure I've ever gotten. The ladies always give each nail a lot of special attention, and the shaping is flawless. They have a ton of color choices, including fun stuff like chrome and glitters. The ambiance is lovely, bright and open, and I'm always offered a drink. I also like that they play music videos, it's how I get my dose of pop culture. I love the ladies that work here, and am always greeted with a smile, and often they recognize me and my friend, since we usually come in together. I recommend this salon to all my friends. I even taken my mom, my friends mom, my ex's mom, take your mom! Its a great looking salon to impress, at reasonable prices. read more

I came to this place because I saw amazing reviews. I'm not from the area, so it is definitely out of the way, but I'll try anything if I'm expecting great service. I want to preface this review by saying that everyone there is super nice. It was my first time there, and I'm a shy person in general, so while I did feel anxious, they made me feel welcomed! My only issue is with the actual service I received. I had gone to get a pedicure and all the photos on here look great. Now look... I know I have tiny toes and tiny toenails, but the pedicure I received just seemed... off. I know you aren't supposed to apply polish all the way to the cuticle, but, damn, this felt like too much. Maybe I just feel this way since I always take a long time when I do my own nails to make sure they're perfect. But I'm not a professional and I'm not licensed. I guess I just expected more.
