I've been following A&T on IG for what feels like forever and finally visited their Logan Square boutique. The interior is gorgeous- like Wednesday Adams meets Selena Gomez. I was a bit surprised to not find more jewelers - most pieces that are in the store, you've already seen on their IG. There's not many pieces that you haven't seen. There were definite collections (some by the owner Viviana) but I was expecting more options for the large space. Their bridal case is gorgeous with several of options to get your creative mind going- both for engagement rings and wedding bands. Very cool alternatives to "mall jewelry stores"! Yes yes yes! I walked out with a teeny charm to add to my neck mess and a curb chain earring. The curb chain earring was 14k gold with a CZ at the end with a pricing just under $300. Pairing real with not real was a bit silly to me, I wanted either less (vermeil with the CZ) or more (14k with a diamond... I also still purchased because it was so damn cool. Cool pieces, cool staff, cool interior! You could just as easily shop their IG but going in to shop is fun! read more

Absolutely love this jewelry shop. First came for a Yelp event and purchased some Vanessa Chan earrings. I got some good news lately and want to treat myself to something nice. On this occasion, I came after brunch with a friend. We were helped out by Madison. She also helped me the last time and actually remembered my taste in jewelry. This time I didn't find what I was looking for my new jewelry piece. There was some lovely items but out the price range I wanted to spend on this occasion. Of course I would want the $1400 delicate diamond ring. Lol. However I will be back in May to see if they got some different items. My friend grabbed this gorgeous green (Tourmaline) ring. Girlfriend is lucky she saw it before me as I really did like it and it was in my price range for self-present. Oh well next time. Check this Latinx owned business. If you are lucky, the owner will be there. The owner is not only an artist but so knowledgeable about jewelry. Really enjoyed visiting with her last time. She also does custom pieces. Oh my...this store is FANTASTIC! Popped in after the infamous Logan square farmers market as my hubby and I were just walking by. The jewelry in here is FANTASTIC. They offer several artist's pieces and collections. I loved it! I could've bought almost the entire store! I bought two different earring sets that were the cutest studs! Worked with Madison and the team at Adornment & Theory to build out a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. They were fantastic from start to finish, with a great detailed and iterative approach, giving us sketches, a CAD design, and ultimately the completed ring. They were great allowing me to provide my own diamond, customizing the design, and even accommodating some awesome personal touches (embedded stones inside the band). I cannot gush enough about my love for Adornment + Theory. When my partner and I got engaged and married, I KNEW without a shadow of a doubt that I wanted to get custom diamond heirloom rings made by Viviana. She worked with me and my partner to use diamonds from both of our deceased mothers' rings and tweaked them in CAD til each of us was 10000000% satisfied with the engagement/wedding band designs. Adornment + Theory also engraved the insides of each of our rings with special symbols that mean something to both of us. You could tell the whole time they were entirely focused on what we wanted and not on making an upsell. My partner wanted to wear her mom's plain gold band, so they polished it up for us (instead of trying to sell us a new one). When the engravings came out different than we expected, they corrected the engravings quickly and at no additional charge to us. I saw my wedding band/crown for the first time on my wedding day and it absolutely took my breath away. I wish I could get married again just so I could work with the incredible team at Adornment + Theory. What a gem of a jewelry store!!! read more

I LOVE this jewelry store. They have such incredible pieces and the people who work there are friendly and helpful. I had a custom piece made by Viviana and the entire process went perfectly. Everyone was responsive and gave me great guidance. I was spending more than I ever have on jewelry and was a bit nervous about customizing (I had my eye on this design for over a year). I purchased a ring from here that they had apparently outsourced. I had the ring for a few months when I noticed that two stones were missing. I reached out to Adornment + Theory and they sent the ring out to get repaired. When I went to pick it up they said that there was going to be a $90 fee for the repair which they didn't tell me before handing it in. I was under the impression when I handed in the ring that there would be no additional fee. I paid $350 for the ring, a $90 fee on top of that would have made the ring very expensive for a ring I had less than a year and wasn't good quality. They ended up waiving the fee and reassured me that the jeweler had fixed the ring and it wouldn't happen again. Sure enough, 2 months later a stone was missing. At this point, the piece seemed faulty. I had asked if I could exchange it or pay more money for a different piece as I didn't want to continue to have this issue. They refused and said that I could come in and I would have to pay for the repair (keep in mind I still have not had the ring for a year). I would qualify a $350 piece of jewelry as a "fine" piece of jewelry so to have to deal with these issues with no sense of remorse about selling faulty jewelry is such bad customer service. I refused to work with the company and am now working directly with the jeweler who was nothing but apologetic. I understand that they aren't at fault for the jeweler's quality of work but as a business, if you choose to sell another artist's ring, and increase the price of the ring to make a profit you are accepting the burden of any problems that arise to ensure that your customers want to return and have a good experience. read more

My husband and I went through various Jewelers before finding Viviana and her team. No one could accomplish what our limited knowledge in jewelry making thought possible with his grandma's wedding ring set. Given it's age and sentimentality, Viviana offered a beautiful solution for a new ring stack, which included restructuring the original yellow and white gold wedding band to fit instead of melting it down as others painfully suggested. Both the new engagement ring and 3rd stack were designed in the same spirit of the original and we couldn't be happier with the communication throughout the process. She was respectful to budget, providing various options and in her ability to create CAD drawings/renderings put her on a level that exceeded my expectations. I'm gonna come out of Yelp retirement just to give this store some love- I stopped in here on a long weekend in Chicago and it was one of the highlights of my weekend. The store has so many lovely things and it's so well curated. I bought a great necklace and this amazing pair of earrings and I got so many unsolicited compliments from strangers about them just that day just walking around in them! They have since become one of my favorite statement earrings and they continue to garner compliments. Also: the girls at the shop were the sweetest and so helpful and Viviana talked with us about where to eat while we were visiting. Also: we saw her the next day randomly and she remembered us! I love customer service when it's that genuine. So go ahead and find your next favorite piece of jewelry. I'm a 35 year old dude and this is the first Yelp review I have ever done. I am doing so because the experience was that great! I was about to ring shop with my girlfriend a few months ago. We went down to Jewelers Row and had a very blah experience. A lot of the rings and diamonds were nice, but they all looked the same. Also, the gentleman who helped us out would only look at me when my now fiancé asked him questions. It was pretty weird. I could tell my lady didn't love the experience. Luckily, earlier in the week, I had a friend mention how A & T was a cool spot in the neighborhood and they had some cool jewelry. I mentioned this to my fiancé and then she researched Viviana and A & T and liked her and the store's vibe. From there, everything was a great experience. The consultation was neat getting to know Viviana and having her and my lady on the same page. They talked different ideas and my better half said she wanted to do a Trinity Knot to honor her Irish heritage and my name. After a week or two, Viviana then came up with 4 awesome sketches for us. We then talked about those, picked one and workshopped it. Viviana then was great with the whole diamond process. She worked with our budget and helped educate us on diamonds. The important thing was she gave us a lot of options. Then, she did a CAD model and explained how it would look at the final stage. I went on a little vacation and then the ring was there and it was beautiful! It was everything my fiancé wanted and then some. We are so happy with it and I catch her staring at it regularly! I would highly recommend Viviana since she is immensely talented, hard working and generous with her time! Also, even if you're not getting an engagement ring, there's a ton of cool and interesting jewelry in the store. read more
