However, the customer service here is so up and down, I resort to just buying things online. When the Asian employees are working, the environment is so nice and you can actually receive help. When the Caucasian employees are working, they ignore you and act like you are intruding their store. I passed by this store a couple of times & there seemed to be lots of potential, but I didn't have time to properly take a look. One day I finally had time and went out of my way just to come back to peruse this store. Upon entering, no one greeted me, which is not a great start. A simple greeting can go a long way to acknowledge your customers and to make them feel welcomed. I slowly scanned each section, and I noticed at one point one of the employees came to the section I was ogling, but still did not acknowledge my presence. At that time a couple of ladies entered the store and were immediately greeted with "welcome in! Let us know if we can help you with anything!" I made my way around the store finally browsing the area near the register. The 2 sales people at the register never said a word to me. Other customers were coming in, some getting greeted, depending on their nationality is what it seemed like. In the end I spent about 20 minutes in the store and might as well have been invisible. Hopefully they learn to be better and greet customers of all colors. Three salespeople and not even one "hi" is not acceptable. My first time in Chicago and as I'm exploring, I stumbled upon this place and figured it was worth checking out especially for gifts for my sister. They had a lot of cool pieces and there were two saleswomen that were very helpful. One offered me a tray so I could put all the pieces that I liked and shop freely. I purchased a necklace and 2 of the same earrings. The other sales girl was super nice enough to check stock in the back and kindly found more. The pieces are really beautiful. I did knock down a star bc both earrings were supposed to be cheaper than what I was going to be charged. I did mention it to the sales girl and she told me that the price on the screen was correct until the saleswoman next to her corrected her. I understand it wasn't updated in the computer. However, I'd say it's important to be knowledgeable of the prices of the pieces in store. Even if the price I said was incorrect, protocol would be To ensure nonetheless the price on the screen is correct instead of dismissing it. If I didn't say anything, I would've been overcharged. The second reason is pricing. Although earrings are reasonably priced, I paid about $50 on a necklace. It's cute but definitely overpriced bc the quality of the piece will most likely tarnish in a short period of time. I feel like the only way to justify the price would be to use higher quality materials that will not tarnish. Other than that, I highly recommend you visit just to check it out even if you don't walk out with anything. This jam-packed bling store is a lot of fun to browse through, but it would be more fun if it weren't so crammed full of stuff and if it had less pushy salespeople. We were lured in by the shop window full of sparkly, colorful necklaces, and that is just the beginning. The smallish shop is PACKED with shelves, wall displays, racks, and cabinets that are all full to bursting with jewelry. It's overwhelming at first, especially when you realize that the large tables in the center are full of drawers that also contain more pieces. Much of the jewelry is handmade, and you can see the quality in the semiprecious stones and pearls used as well as the settings and elaborate designs. There are some cheaper items that look like mass-produced junk jewelry in the back, but you can easily see the difference when you compare the items (and their prices). The prices seemed fair given that it's handmade, but more than I would pay on a whim. I saw a super-long pearl necklace that I really liked, but wasn't going to drop $80 on it. A lot of it was frankly too big and gaudy for my taste, but if you like BIG statement necklaces and one-of-a-kind pieces, their stuff is quite impressive! it seems like they do a lot of business with formal and bridal jewelry. They do have simpler pieces and basics, though, even small post earrings. What really took away from our enjoyment was the very pushy saleswoman who greeted us when we walked in and then followed us around the store with a very aggressive manner. If we looked at something, she would swoop in, tell us at length about why it was such a great deal, and attempt to put it behind the counter for us! This made me not want to pick up anything for fear of the hard sell. Eventually we waited until she was talking to another shopper and fled, but for a while we thought we weren't going to get out of there without being forced to buy something! My friend and I visited this store last month when we took a trip to Chicago. We spent at least an hour in the store trying on all the jewelry, which is beautiful, unique and clearly handmade. We had a very nice experience in the store. The issue occurred when I wore one of the necklaces I bought for the first time. I put it on in the morning and when I got to work, the pendant that was hanging from the chain was gone. It must have fallen off when I was walking. I spent over $30 on this necklace, so I was upset that it broke the first time I wore it. I live in NYC, so I'm not able to go back to the store in person. I wrote an in-depth email to the company explaining the situation and sent pictures of the jewelry purchased and my receipts. I asked if I could get a store credit for the necklace, since I was now just left with a thin, gold chain, but I never received a response from them. The other two pieces of jewelry I bought, another necklace and a bracelet, have held up well so far and I've gotten compliments on both of them. I don't think there are frequent quality issues with the jewelry sold here, I just think my other necklace wasn't secured strongly enough. The reason for the 2 star review is because they didn't even respond to or acknowledge my email, therefore I'm not sure how likely I would be to repurchase from this boutique. I have a bracelet that was a very special gift from a very special group of women. I wore it for special occasions at first, and then everyday. I loved my bracelet. Eventually, some of the threads gave in and it started to lose some beads. I emailed Rosa in Customer Service and sent her photos. When I was ready to purchase a necklace that I selected, I was told that the $16.00 price on the tag was for wholesale and that if I wanted to buy it it would be $48.00. I happened to stumble upon this boutique store one hot July day as my sister and I were walking down Michigan Ave. There was an amazingly beautiful necklace on display at the window and my sister and I came to a complete stop (pedestrians behind us be damned) so I could gaze at the bauble that completely mesmerized me. I pointed to the necklace and could only managed an excited squeal. I've found my necklace for my wedding even though I had no dress picked out yet. We went inside and was just blown away by the gorgeous jewelry! We had someplace to go, so I snapped a picture of the necklace before I left and attempted to memorize the name of the store so I could come back for the necklace. 3 months later, I completely forgot the name of the store but I entertained the idea of visiting the city again to see if the necklace was still there.I never made it because the holidays rolled around, but I still couldn't stop thinking about that necklace! I asked my sister what the name of the store was or if she can look in her email archive because I emailed the name to her. No luck. Today, 7 months after that first encounter, my sister finally emailed me the name of the store and I immediately went to their website to get their email address so I could email them the picture of my dream necklace. I got a reply within 15 (FIFTEEN) minutes from the most helpful and nicest person ever who kindly told me that necklace sold a few days ago! Fortunately, the person emailed me a few photos of similar necklaces and even tried looking for more that would go with my wedding dress (I had emailed a pic of the dress). Within 2 hours of our first correspondence, I purchased a beautiful necklace (for half off!!) with matching earrings over the phone and before I could even share my incredible luck with my sister, a tracking number was emailed to me.
