Even after my husband called them to tell them we were not interested in using their service because of how i was treated by the person who came to our house, they have tried to call us twice to ask about it!!! Fraudulent practices are encouraged via the ADT GAME! Firstly, the itemized list of equipment outlined on our contract was INCORRECT! I have notes from my initial quote/sales call with Kenneth Leibold, FL outlining the final equipment / new service bundle will include the following devices with a 5 year contract and monthly payment of $77.00: * 3 Contact Sensors * 1 Motion Sensor * 2 Exterior Cams * 1 Google Nest Video Doorbell * 1 Quickset automated deadbolt lock in Nickel * Smoke / Carbon Monoxide Detectors * ADT 7" Touchscreen Thankfully, I wasn't able to sign that contract as my name was documented incorrectly. Upon installation (less than two days later), I explained to the technician, Chris Hutzell, the many discrepancies in the equipment selection along with the incorrect name listed on my account... In order to remedy this quickly and simply, Chris guaranteed ALL errors would be corrected within 48 hours and he would return with the proper equipment/provide assistance in making necessary account ownership/primary contact changes at that time. He was able to install video doorbell (defective), motion detector, three contact sensors on doors and touchscreen during installation on 1/20/2022. I've attempted to make direct contact with Mr. Hutzell via text to inquire about the status of this merry-go-round without any response or update. It's now Friday, January 28th and I'm still without the equipment I was promised not to mention paying for services/equipment I do not have (including the DEFECTIVE and INCORRECT video doorbell ((ADT device installed rather than Google Nest sold to me by Kenneth Leibold on Tuesday 01/18/22)). I've now spent hours on hold or being transferred between l different departments attempting to fix this, however I've been promised time and again that this WILL BE CORRECTED yet I've seen ZERO results. I was also informed on MONDAY by Account Support that my case was being escalated to the local ADT branch manager and someone would be in touch within 72 hours -- 9 MONTHS LATER AND I AM STILL WITHOUT HALF OF THE EQUIPMENT, CHRIS HUTZELL IS A LIAR. I made the mistake by calling adt for my business. They were not a good fit so I ended the phone call and went about my life. Now I'm getting up to7 calls every day from all over the country trying to get me to use adt. I've blocked more calls from them. It's insane! They keep calling. I call the number on their website and tell them to stop the calls and the people are rude and transfer me around and nothing stops. I thought adt was a reputable company. What a joke! I have used ADT for many years and generally it's been fine. But last week, the system malfunctioned and the alarm went off in the middle of the night. Long story short, they needed to make a service call. They have a 5 hour window that you have to wait for them, so I had to take a half day off from work. The guy came, worked on it, said it was fixed, but the issue returned within an hour. I called them right back, but they wouldn't send someone back, and wanted me to do the whole thing again tomorrow, which is impossible for me. So now I have to waste half of Saturday waiting for them, plus I have no functional security system. If you are going to make people wait 5 hours for you, you should be obligated to fix the problem in that time frame. At this point, I basically have no recourse, but this is horrible customer service and I would not recommend ADT to anyone from here on in. Edited after comment from ADT below: With all due respect, that comment is completely tone deaf. It's not "financially sound" for them to send the technician back?!?! 1. It's his job. It's part of the service that I, the customer, pay for. They are not doing me a favor by fixing the service I PAY them for. 2. I get that things break and need to be fixed. Which is why I rearranged my schedule and sat at home for half a day today. That was a big inconvenience, but ok. But at the point that the job is not done completely/correctly the first time, the onus is on the business to accommodate the customer. Why should I be inconvenienced a second time to make things easier for them? When I called them back this afternoon, they should have moved heaven and earth to get someone back here by 5 pm. THAT would have been customer service.
