This incident happened 31st of January 2021 at around 5:30 PM at the franconia branch. I was there to exchange an item that I purchased online because they gave me the wrong item in the morning. The person who was at the cashier was Travis and the manager was John. Travis was very rude and spoke to me very unprofessionally and I felt threatened because I thought he was a gonna pounce on me because of his body actions. Please review the store videos. I also took a video that Im going to send to the corporate office. While I was there he was also having a verbal altercation with another customer. And John the manager did not do anything. If you're a DIY guy/gal, places like this are great. Dealerships, auto shops, and gas stations will charge you a PREMIUM for basic services that you can complete on your own, or with a little help from the staff at Advance Auto Parts. Got a blown fuse or burnt light? Need new wipers, or a new battery? Open your owner's manual, learn a little, and come here rather than the dealership. For example, if you've got a state inspection coming up, something like a burnt lightbulb will get flagged by the inspector and they'll offer to replace it right then and there; but for probably 3-4x what it would cost if you visited Advance Auto Parts beforehand. Keep in mind -- it's not an autoshop, so we're talking basic services. The only even semi-negative thing I can say about this place is that it sometimes gets really busy, and can be hard to get a staff member to help you out (especially if your question/situation is a little more involved). If you can, shop during non-peak hours for a quicker experience. (PS. I'm surprised about Watchdog B's review. If THIS particular store did great, why would you rate them poorly because AAP national messed up? Yelp is built for local reviews.) read more

I went into this store looking for a passenger side windshield wiper for my car. I gave the guy at the counter the year, make and model for my car and he pulled up a list of wipers that would fit. He asked me if there is any particular kind that I like and I told him that all I care about is that the car would pass the safety inspection. I found a wiper for me and the price was great. He wasn't even trying to sell me their most expensive one so that was very much appreciated. read more

Went here today to get coolant for my car after the dealership told me I was good to go only to realize my levels were below the minimum. The guy working Sunday morning was incredibly helpful. He told us which coolant I needed for my Nissan and even came out and looked at my coolant level/color before making the recommendation. He was super friendly, helpful and efficient. read more

Lacks customer service, one associate was on her phone talking and texting. The same woman that told me I couldn't park in this specific spot because it was only for their vehicles. I didn't see a sign or label that stated that. The parking lot is always crowded, apparently it is allowed for their vehicles to be parked along side yellow lanes/fire lanes. The Problem with a Horrible Franchise and A Friendly Store. I had a horrible time getting a part that every auto store carries... But AAP Inc had an online sale with a 15% discount where you can buy online and pick up at the store and wait, and i quote, up to 1 hour, unquote. The problem is, it could take up 48 fricken hours. BUT.... this store was willing to bend over backwards to help me out. but at that point, due to the Online Store fumbling and the blatant lies their customer service was giving me*, I missed an important event. The people at the store are really good sales people (i mean keep your wits about you when you go there) but kept on a short leash. They will look under hood and spot the problem. no BS. Yet they have their hands tied behind their back by AAP Inc. I wont give another penny to advance for the headache they caused me. I would only visit that store if I had a gift card only for AAP. I would give this place 5 stars. The AAP Inc. Online Store and Customer Service: -Million. So why 2 star, WatchDog? AAP Inc ruining it for this fine store. *I would question their policies to understand their logic and each rep would say something different. A lady was helping a guy buying battery she saw me there did not even acknowledged I was there . A guy by name of Gary who was there . He told me someone will be with you . He was not doing anything at all . He picked up the phone made a phone to customer who to let him know his part was in . I was still waiting no help . He got a phone call he was talking commercial account order . I realized he went to Start stocking some item come back stand behind the counter . Disappointed. While staff tried to help refill AC refrigerant either the bottle was faulty or the staff member used the wrong technique and my ac is blowing hotter than when I came in. The refused to refund or exchange the bottle. read more
