1 star Came in recently to exchange a set of wiper blades that didn't fit my vehicle. One of the employees in a grey shirt was extremely helpful and professional--great customer service and really tried to assist us with the return, even though the packaging was slightly damaged. Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by another employee (whose photo I've attached). While she was helping another customer, she loudly made disrespectful and uncalled-for comments about us, saying things like, "They prolly tryna return the wrong parts," and, "That's some snake sh*t." Totally unprofessional and unnecessary. My wife proved her wrong by pulling the exact same part off the shelf and showing that it was indeed the right item--just missing a piece of the packaging. Even after being proven wrong, this employee didn't apologize or acknowledge her behavior. She continued yelling across the store and cursing behind the register while kids were around. Completely unacceptable. This location has lost my business. Unless that employee is disciplined and taught how to act professionally, I won't be back read more

Opened the store 6mins late and didn't acknowledge or even apologize.. we just needed a battery terminal so in and out process. You can get what you need usually in stock and staff is pretty helpful after they've had their coffee. read more

I gave my old pickup truck to my younger cousin before I ought my new car, and he was having issues with his brakes. Since I had done the brakes on the truck before, I knew exactly what we needed to do, and the parts to fix it. We ran over here early this morning, and thankfully they had the brake parts in stock. There was no need to special order anything and no wait. This was good news for both of us because I really only have time to help him this coming weekend. There was only one. Customer in the store ahead of us, and two employees who were working this morning, so we were helped immediately. This store is quite large, and they carry pretty much most partsin stock ffor domestic cars. I think that some parts for foreign vehicles need to be special ordered. If I could give zero stars I would. I have had other visits here which were fine but recently on Sunday I was left scratching my head on how this location even runs. My husband ordered some parts online and we thankfully didn't need them. We went to return them and both the associate (Jeffery ) and assistant store manager (Michael) had no idea how to do the return. They went back and forth about what buttons of F4, F5, F6, or F7 to return the item in the system . Unfortunately, they couldn't figure it out between them. After a few minutes back and forth just hitting buttons they said they could only refund me store credit because that's what the system said at them time ( I think I they tried to return it without a receipt). I ordered these items the 1st of June, there should be no reason why I could not get my original tender. I told them ill wait for their system to update and speak with customer service to see if they possibly have a solution. I called CS, they gave me the information to do the return and I went back and explained to them what CS told me and gave them the written instructions. The employee Jeffery went over to Michael (who was on his phone watching something) for about 5 minutes and he came back and told me that Michael, tho he is the assistant manager he does not have the credentials to do my return, no one in the store was able to return it but Ms.Tabitha and she was not there. I think they just wanted me out the store and not to deal with it. I do not have the time to go back and forth back and forth when all I need is to return and be on my way. I have worked retail since I was 16 and how an assistant store manager, does not have the credentials to do a return just boggles my mine. Pretty sure you guys need some secret shoppers sent in here and corporate to get this store to run better. Employees not being able to do basic returns makes no sense. read more

So my son purchased a brand new brake master Cylinder for his car (he only being 17 knows more then they're best 3 workers in the store, the big lady (person) was to busy showing pornography pictures of her daughters onlyfans account which made it easy to see 1) why she was living in a hotel 2) how she lost the kids in the first and 3) the husband was probably running the camera looking for pointers so let's brag to strangers about your whore daughter that lost her kids even ones who work the street can get happy meals. And she couldn't even sell naked pictures of herself to feed them. Took the master cylinder to the dealer to have it installed which they wouldn't do because it was used in the the box. Tried to returned it they said no, and refused to give me the next highest person within the company to take it back to and air my problems to. Now I have one that works the right way from advance auto parts and one that I've waiting to hear some name Joe stevesons. So when I don't hear from him he will hear from my lawyer and the Va employment office. Next time anyone that I know needs parts they'll go less than a mile I'm either direction. If they don't have it Rick auto it is. Atleast when I looked my parts up there they'll always been right. Amazing customer service! The best I've received for my car in a long time. Big shout out to Javon and Garod, two top-notch employees--friendly, helpful, efficient, courteous. I recently went to a service center at a gas station for an oil change and a maintenance check, all at a scheduled time. Was told it should take about an hour when I made the appointment. They started on my car 1//2 hour late and I waited a total of 2 1/2 hours for it to be done. A battery test indicated that it needed to be replaced soon. They didn't have one in the right size at the time and told me to check back to find out when one was available and then make another appointment to bring my car back in. A few days later I decided to go to Auto Zone for a free battery test that Javon conducted and that showed the same results. When I bought my battery there I was offered a 10% discount.Then Gavon installed the new battery for free in 10 minutes. This is what good customer service is all about! read more

Great experience here! Franklin was so helpful. My check engine light came on again. Franklin diagnosed my car FOR FREE! I know it is standard but I paid a mobile service before learning about AutoZone $99 to do the same thing he did. He said my fuel cap needed to be replaced so I bought one. Gave me a military discount. And just like he said it would four days later my check engine light disappeared. Thanks AutoZone and Franklin! Way better than those other scam shops! Just stay away, the customer service is horrible. Not one person was willing to assist me with my purchase. It took at least 20 minutes just to get someone who wanted to cash me out, and then when he scanned my item, it didn't ring up right, he advised I must be lying about the price because there's no way it scanned $10 higher than advertised on the shelf. We walked over to the shelf and wow, the price really was exactly what I said it was. When he tried to change the transaction, it was another 5-10 minutes.. What really made my recent visit here so special was the Customer Service I received from Alison! It started when I called first on the phone before arriving. I usually go to the AutoZone on Mount Vernon Avenue near the DelRay section of Alexandria. Have always gotten 5 star service there, but was running errands on Route 1, so I headed to this location instead out of convenience. I needed to have a headlight bulb replaced and also wanted to check out the other one that seemed dim. The service tech said that I should take it to a shop to get the dim one checked out. While putting in the headlight bulb, the service team member made a comment, "for future reference, we don't do headlight bulb replacement, but since we're not busy, I'm helping you out." This has never been an issue at the Mount Vernon location, so I was surprised. When I mentioned the great service at the other location, the service team member said, "well, some do and some don't and we don't." He said that both lights (even the one that I had reported to be dim) looked alright. Later, when I had a chance to check it out by flicking my lights in the garage upon arriving home, I realized that the technician just didn't want to be helpful. Will definitely make the longer trip to the Mt. Vernon Avenue location in the future. The convenience of this Autozone being closer to home isn't worth the lack of customer service that they deliver. read more

What can I say? When your car needs a battery, you go to the nearest joint and pay whatever it takes to have it replaced. Enter AutoZone. Last weekend l couldn't get my car to start, so I got a jump and drove it around for a bit to get the thing nice and juiced up before heading straight for this place. It was a little bit of a wait and surprisingly busy for a Sunday morning, but soon enough a tech with a magic wand determined that in order for him to actually get a reading, there had to be some kind of charge...hmmmm. A new battery it is then!! Yeah, it could have been the alternator, but I was hedging my bets and it paid off. $150 later and my hybrid was purring like a dream. Obviously the replacement was NOT the hybrid battery (had that done a couple years ago). So, it wasn't my favorite experience and the service, while kind, was slow and a little all over the place with very little order to the show. You could tell folks were on the ragged edge of losing it. I was only lucky in that I got there with only one other person in line and the wait was still a little ridiculous. Maybe a third person on Sundays would help the situation? Anyway, I am back on the road and happy enough. read more

Boo! This Auto Zone doesn't even exist in real life! I was in a hurry to get to the nearest Auto Zone late in the evening on May 14, to get a few bits and pieces ahead of the MD state safety inspection the following morning, and when I asked Waze on my iPhone to get me to the nearest shop, it told me to head to this address and location. I of course didn't question it and drove towards it...but nowt. I obviously blinked because Waze nagged me and told me I had apparently arrived and drove past it. I had even got onto a small sidestreet and turned around back, looking round and round both sides of the road like a paranoid schitzophrenic and to my disappointment and frustration, I could not see the familiar marquee sign anywhere. I doubled-back a third time and then gave Waze and Siri both a piece of my mind, resigned to the fact that I was not going to complete my mission that night. I ended up driving back home, and going to the Advance Auto Parts local to me the following morning instead. He talked me through all my different options and recommended the brand he uses himself, which I opted for in the end.
