I like this location. The employees are courteous and friendly. It's nice to have this close to the gym, as am in the fitness lifestyle. Who knows maybe I'll buy my next car battery here? They definitely make you feel welcome here, whether a beginner or experienced car aficionado. I like them for basics like batteries, headlights, sparkplugs, and windshield wipers. Yet the cost of some items, isn't what I can get elsewhere. Am fairly into car service, so take that with salt, as most won't go the distance I do for finding car parts at a high value. Inflation is not a joke, and much like anywhere else, prices are up. With that in mind, you'll find everything from car washing materials to motor oil. They definitely are good folks. read more

I have used this store for 20 years, brakes, oil change, batteries, etc. Today, I called them today ( 6/30/26 - 3:00 PM) ask if they had a tool on the shelve so I could come purchase it. The person said he would put on his "personnel shopper hat" and look up the tool. He would not give me his name and said that Steve or Dave could help me when I arrive. I rest of the conversation was not professional. There is a recently new AutoZone in Burke. I am not making all of my car part purchases at this Auto Zone. They kindly looked up the part I needed, found it, and sold it to me. Unfortunately they got it wrong. I didn't save the receipt, so they wouldn't swap it out with the right one. If I want to spend too much on the wrong part for my car, I have a well-established track record of being able to do that without assistance. read more

Unlike the motto, Service is NOT the best part. I used to visit this store because of convenience...I will take my business elsewhere. When I arrived, I was not greeted nor acknowledged, even though there is a bell that rings when you walk through the door. I went about looking for my item by walking down the aisles until I found what I stopped by to get and walked towards the counter to pay for it...then I noticed a Team Member was in the other side of the far counter assisting someone. He ignored me and I waited and waited and waited...I was about to leave the item on the counter and leave when another Team Member appeared from behind. I wanted to pay for the $3.99 item with a $20 bill and he looked at it, stared, put it up against the light to see if I handed him a counterfeit bill! I stated that if he did not want my cash, I will pay with my credit card. He continued to stare at the bill, pulled another from the till and compared it. IF the TEAM MEMBER is to compare a counterfeit bill, an easier method would be for Advanced Auto Parts to issue counterfeit pens to their stores. I went in today needing an aux battery replacement and the two gentlemen working went above and beyond by installing this battery even though the car manufacturer made the process unnecessarily complicated. My 77-yr-old mom and I went to buy a new car battery from store #08980 around 9:15AM on 5/15/2022. I started to grab the dead battery from my vehicle, but my mom said, "Leave it there. They'll come get it." We went inside. I noticed 1 other associate and 1 other customer in the store. My mom told Brandon, the associate working with us, she needed a new car battery because her battery died. He asked, "Is the car here?" We said no. He then asked, "Do you have the battery?" We said yes. He then asked, "Can you go get it?" I deliberately laughed aloud as I went retrieve it in disbelief. Let me get this straight. Brandon had 2 ladies walk in requesting assistance with a dead battery. He asked them to bring in the dead car battery? Hmm. What if my mom was alone? Would he still have asked her to carry the battery in by herself? Inquiring minds want to know. I got the battery. I opened the exterior door on my own. I saw Brandon racing to open the interior door. Did he offer to take the battery from me? Nope. He told me to put it on the counter, which I did. My mom paid for the new car battery. He placed the new one on the counter. Brandon informed my mom about the warranty and asked for her phone number. When provided, he saw my father's name listed. I requested that he change the contact name and he said he didn't know how. I wanted to ask, "What do you mean you don't know how?" Instead, I just provided my contact information instead. I told him I should already be in the system. He responded, "This is for something else." What the cow patties are we coming to? It should not be this hard. I bought my car battery from Advance Auto Parts 2 years ago (not this location). As I grabbed the new car battery, Brandon asked, "Do you want me to carry that?" I quickly said no. Why? Because it was a matter of principle. He didn't want to get the battery though it's part of the service, so why ask if he could carry it for me now? I mean honestly. I worked in retail for many years. This was bottom bucket poor service. If I return to this shop, Brandon will not be allowed to help me/us again. read more

I went in today to get replacement wipers for my vehicle. Both of the staff members were friendly and extremely helpful and made sure I had exactly what I needed. I tried to go to the Advanced Auto Parts in Burke, VA. I arrived at the door at 759 in the evening. Their posted hours on the door and internet is 9 pm. They had already closed the registers and would not help me. Very poor customer service and unpredictable operating hours. I went home and spent the $350+ dollars on Amazon to get what I needed. He had no costumer and doing nothing , and would have it done in few minutes, but he was fucking lazy and didn't wanna do it. . Their costumer service sucks! Stopped to pick up a battery charger. While in the store I picked up a few more things totalling about $120. There were only two guys working at the store, one of whom was outside changing a battery. There was a customer returning a cart full of items, and the line inside the store got longer and longer. I gave up sfter standing in one spot for about 15 minutes. read more

I have never done a review before, but my experience today was one of a kind. I went into the cleaners and when I came out, my car wouldn't start. I walked down the strip mall to Advanced Auto Parts and Peter was behind the register. He walked all the way to my car, gave it a jump start, then had me pull up in front of the shop so he could test my battery. He diagnosed the issue as a loose connector, tightened it for me, and sent me on my way- refusing to take any money from me! I had my 5 year old with me and I was so grateful for the assistance. To top it all off, we weren't there for more than 15 minutes! read more

I was very disappointed with my visit to the Burke store today. I came in for some bulbs for my left rear tail light assembly for my For Transit Connect. As I was pulling out the bulbs from the old wire assembly they quickly got the appropriate bulb packs from the store. I paid for my two items and I walked back out front to pop them back in just to make sure it wasnt a fuse or wire assembly. The lights came back on so I unpacked the new taillight assembly and found it included both the wire harness and new bulbs. I put the new tail light assembly back un, put the new bulbs back in the packaging and went back in the store. The clerk now informed that once you by the bulbs and open them you can not return them. This would have been good information before spending the $17 for the new bulbs. Now I'm forced to keep bulbs that I don't need and have wasted $17. I find it they are going to have a no refund policy on certain parts they should tell their customers what parts fall under this category. I have bought parts before and found either I had the wrong one it didn't solve the issue and have returned them like the bulbs in the original packaging and have received my money back. I even list my receipt once and was given store credit. In this instance to get nothing I feel cheated. read more
