Came in needing new wiper blades for my truck. Jamal immediately greeted me as I entered, asked what he could help me with, and proceeded to look up my make and model vehicle so he could better assist me. He walked me down the aisle and showed me the different types they carry and recommended me a product. After paying he even offered to come out and snap them on for me. We have been into this store a few times. Our most recent trip was for a car battery for my SUV. The main gentleman I spoke with by the name of Derek was so helpful. I called to check on the battery the next day and he said it would be delayed. Offered a refund right off the bat since it wasn't there the original day it was supposed to be, but since it wasn't an emergency I was fine with it. When I went to pick it up the next day (turned out I didn't need it after all) he was very helpful in setting everything up. Will definitely return here in the future. read more

Don't trust this Store. Came here to have battery checked and they told me they couldn't do it cause it was a 30 to 45 minute "Professional Install" and to take it to my Mechanic So I did and had a Certified Mechanic test the whole system and he confirmed it was Both my Alternator and Battery that was bad. So I returned with my warranty in hand even after talking to them before coming and they said they would replace the battery. So when I get here the "Manager" put it on the machine they refused to use the first time I came here. And then denied me and then under his breat to another coworker said something about me derogatory in his native language. Then when I said I'm contacting Corporate he now has me waiting 45 minutes while he charges it and then he'll replace it under warranty...If they would have said that in the beginning I'd saved myself $60 instead of going to a Mechanic...I asked him if he was a certified mechanic and he said YES. I was having problems with my headlights being so dim that I could hardly see while driving at night. Mario was so helpful!!! I had taken my car in to Jersey Village auto shop for the issue and they were not helpful at all. They, in fact, suggested that they could order some LED headlights for me which I later found out are illegal in Texas. Mario at Advanced Auto Parts suggested that the bulbs may be getting dim with age and I may need a new set. It was kind of difficult for me (a 61yr old gramma) to get to them under my hood with the other engine parts obscuring the area so I asked him for a recommendation on a "good" auto shop that could help me. Mario suggested that I go across the street to Pep Boys and see Rafael who promptly installed them at no charge. This has been the second time I have needed assistance and gone to this Advanced Auto Parts. They were very helpful in helping me identify a problem with my car battery a couple of years ago, as well. Last week I needed multiple things for my car and Cole was the man who helped me! He was super excellent! I came in looking to buy a new car battery and he slowed me down to see if my old one would still be good. He thankfully tested it and it said it was still good so he saved me like 150 dollars and just charged my old one. He was super helpful and did everything correct, he didn't cut corners! I would not go to the Jones Rd. location. Here is a series of events that happened to me: 1) I purchased an item online and never go an e-mail back stating that the product was ready for pick up. So, I went 1 hour before they closed to get my part. 2) When I got there, the staff told me that there is a problem with my order. He stated that my part that I needed is not in stock but he can get it tomorrow. So I agreed to that. 3) The next day, I did not receive any call back so I decided to go to the store to see if they had my part. 4) When I got there, the same staff member told me that the part did not come in. So, I ask him why didn't he call me. He stated that he lost my receipt and did not have my number. Then, he started to give me an excuse why my part did not come in. His last excuse was that it was discontinued so they don't have my part. He lied to me because another guy at the store called another location and they had the part in hand. So, he asked me if I want to wait for another day to get my part or a refund back. Of course I chose to have my refund back because who knows if I will get my part since they never called me back or give me a status update. So, if you don't have to go to this location, I advise you to stay away. They don't care about customer service and tell you things that are not true. (3/7/18). I will not shop here again.
