Aaron waited on me. Refused discount because we had "ordered the part yesterday". The parts came in $80 more than estimated and to add insult to injury, was missing an integral piece that I had to run to another store to pick up. I was quoted $19 MORE dollars for small plastic guide pin boots. I found them on the website for $2.99 but when I got to the other store, for some reason it became $8.99. Little things matter in a public facing company. I realize these aren't huge numbers but the adding on and adding on was frustrating. I would not recommend this particular auto parts store. read more

Had to get several items. They were all in stock, one item was on the shelves and easy to find as the aisles are marked. The cabin and air filters are behind the counter and both in stock. The employee was very nice and helpful. read more

I had to fix my tail light. I asked for a bulb and a screwdriver - they lent me their screwdriver instead of charging me for a new one. Since I wanted to return the screwdriver when I was done, I figured I'd change the light in their lot. Then I couldn't get the bulb out - it broke in my hand, and I cut myself. They let me clean up in their washroom, and I went back out. A bit later, one of them came out, helped me pull out the broken bulb with some pliers, and recommended some lubricant to help get the new one in. They even offered to try and find a bandaid for my cut. I paid about seven bucks for the light bulb and the lube, and everything else was out of the kindness of their hearts. BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE; THEY ARE AWESOME. read more

I mean, it's a chain, so it's not particularly exciting to write about. But I was in need of a new battery, and they showed me my options and were honest about what was a good deal. Then, they installed it quickly and disposed of the old one. It was quick and hassle-free which I appreciated. Also, the cashier and the guy who put in the battery were very friendly. read more

I ordered a battery on line and called to see if it could be installed. Joe was friendly and courteous and said come on in. Upon arriving I was greeted by Britton, who moaned about me buying it on line and him having to install it. At first I thought he was joking and didn't let it bother me. The insults and rudeness kept coming. Told me a better battery would have been $10 more but that I probably didn't want to break the bank. I had already unlatched the hood but he asked me to open it for him. I did. I drive away fuming but bit my tongue the entire time. I get to my destination, turn off the car then try to restart....nothing. I open the hood and the negative cable is 6 inches away from the terminal, completely off. I call the store and guess who answers? I ask for the manager and he tells me he is the manager. I tell him about the terminal and his response was " I tightened it as best I could." I have had great experiences with Advance at all other stores, This one needs to drain the swamp before I ever go back. read more

I have a sad commentary to make on how business is done in communities today. I've been a customer, nearly exclusively, of Advanced Auto Parts for all my auto parts purchases for over 20 years! If I ever had a problem with a part under warranty, NO PROBLEM! They looked my name up in their computer data base, found me and ALL my purchases for the last ions of time, and replaced my item, under warranty. In the past 7 months, I've had 2, yes 2 batteries, under warranty go bad! First of all, what's happening to the quality of their product line? Secondly, suddenly, they can no longer find my purchases in their computer data base! I no longer exist as a longstanding customer and am told I must keep receipts on all purchases because they no longer know me!??? This is a sad day because I valued the relationship aspect of doing business with a company with a community feel to it. I will try and find that in a new auto parts dealer. Privately owned is probably the way to go in this new faceless economy. read more
