The gentleman I spoke with (Steve) was my POC and he took care of me and my car; answered every question (which was many) with almost a level of excitement to talk about the details of car mechanics. He taught me a lot and combed through the extensive mechanical analysis the shop did; guiding me on what are the "must fix now,""nice to have," "what can be postponed," and "what's completely unnecessary." They have a keen attention to detail. Amenities: 10/10 The free coffee is really, really good. There's a table with free bags of chips and books. The owner even has free copies of his book about being an entrepreneur which I was excited to take. The lounge is cozy. I was in there for a few hours doing work on my machine. The ambience and internet speeds were excellent. Service: I had the following work done on my Ford Fusion Hybrid: Fluid Change (Transmission, Coolant, Brake), Engine Mount replacement (they caught my engine rocking back and forth in the bay before a catastrophe occurred). So what was it? So this morning (Saturday) I took the car at 8am to see if Matt Curry's Craftsman Auto Care could fit me in. Initially, the service said I would have to leave it and they would shuttle me home. I understood and didn't expect preferential treatment cause I have been a loyal and repeat customer. What I didn't expect was that Ray told me he would have a tech look at the battery quickly and if it wasn't then I would have to leave it. It took 2 mins and they told me it was a loose terminal connection with the battery & they tightened it and sent me on my way. No charge. Again, I totally expected to pay for a diagnostic charge and was okay with it. But Ray chuckled and said all they did was tighten the loose connection. That is customer service. Other places would have have charged me and I would have been fine with it. But this act demonstated that they want me as a customer for life. And they got me for life. Quality, honesty and compassion/empathy. That's what you get with Matt Curry's Craftsman Auto Care. I am not the only one cause they are always busy! Got gas there after picking up and something was wrong with the nozzle of the pump on the southwest corner of the station (had some fuel in when picked up and didn't shut off immediately).

Due to a Honda recall, I dropped my car off across the street at the Honda dealership. I received a call saying my timing belt was rotted, I had multiple oils leaks, water pump problems, and more! All totaling about $2,900. I promptly called Schmitz's on the recommendation of a coworker and explained the situation. Al assured me that I could bring it by when Honda was done and he would review the quote and give me an honest answer on what my car actually needed. Later that afternoon, I dropped my car off and went over the list with Al. He went out with me to take a look under the hood, kindly showing me that my car doesn't even have a timing belt! The serpentine belt and timing chain were clearly fine. I went back to work and got a call about an hour later with a recommendation on two things to fix now and a couple to keep an eye out on over the next two years. It was fixed by the end of the day. He could have taken Honda's quote and said yep that is all true and charged me just a little less. But instead Al took the time to show and explain, thoroughly "diagnose" my car, and handle it all in a couple of hours. By the way, it cost me less than $500. I will 100% be back when my car needs it.

Backstory- called roughly 2 weeks ago because my car needed some items done. We agreed that because the parking lot is small, I'd swing the car over to have them look at it so they could order the parts Saturday- stopped in and someone I've never seen before essentially refused to look at my broken mirror. Saying "well I can tell you now you need a new mirror" ironic considering he hadn't step foot from behind the counter. As he was "too busy" LUCKILY A SHOP WASNT "TOO BUSY"- walked out of there vowing to never go back and called another shop in Falls Church. The gentleman said "bring it on by. Happy to look at it" went to that shop and the nice guy not only looked at it but showed me the parts online to order (spoiler I don't need a new mirror) so I could save money from buying through a dealer. He then went as far as to remove the hanging pieces so they wouldn't damage the paint In conclusion- Schmitz managed to lose out on a broken mirror (purchase and replacement) fixing the cable for the gas tank, oil change, emissions and state inspection, and a car wash all because the guy "was too busy" I suggest finding other places that value customers

I explained I was from out of state and asked if they could help me. Frank approached his mechanic Joe. Joe agreed to prioritize my car and took my car immediately And got my car in for a plug and patch within 5 minutes. The shop was clean and all staff was very professional. They worked with a sense of urgency to fix my tire and get me on my way. They were wonderful in my time of crisis. Would highly recommend!!!! They saved the day

I am lucky as the nail they took out was as long as my index finger and was 1/2" away from the sidewall meaning new tire. Glad of that. He carries the tire out to my car and I'm off. This is a little shop with a few employees. I'm glad to support this shop vs the big NTB/Mr Tire/ huge tire shops . Mom and pop will always work for me. These people are hard working and honest. The Service Department of the dealership I'd bought the car from sends you into voice mail hell, promising a return call that never occurs. After two consecutive days of requiring jump starts, the car was trucked to the nearest Subaru dealership - Stohlman on Route 7 in Vienna. Carlos and his techs worked diligently to determine and rectify the root cause. I was kept well informed throughout the process. They were at all times professional, courteous and communicative. I cannot recommend him/them highly enough. As for that other non communicative dealership from which I bought the car, that will be a Yelp review for another day.

When I found out the genuine dealer replacement parts (cat converter/resonator combo) were only $1000, Midas suddenly tried to negotiate. When I suggested Midas' $1000+ repair cost was high considering dealer-replacement cat converter/resonator combo was only $1000, Midas became sarcastic and said "you do you", said I should come pick up the car. Then I brought the car to this Meineke who found just a single leak and repaired it for $400, all with courteous service, excellent communication and no up-selling.
