I purchased my vehicle here and have been a customer with the service center for a number of years…read moreand was generally satisfied with the service until today when I dropped my vehicle off and received no phone call or any other communication to inform me that the service department was keeping my vehicle overnight. And when I tried to call before 6pm, the service department was not picking up the phone. Furthermore, the general customer service department couldn't get in contact with my service representative either, and this is before 6pm! Granted, I changed my number recently, but I gave my new phone number to the person that checked-in my car. So, I don't understand how I didn't receive any communication; even to tell me that my vehicle could not be completed today. And the excuse cannot be that my new phone number was mixed up with my old phone number because I was just there for service on 6/19/2025 and had no issues with communication! This is unacceptable. You cannot keep someone's vehicle overnight and not even make a single attempt to reach them. And you can't have employees not pickup the phone just because it's a half-hour before closing. I was scheduled to get on the road and drive this evening because I have a wedding and events to go to in North Carolina. I took time-off from my new job that is located in Harrisburg (a two-hour drive) just so I could be on-time for this appointment; and I just started this job 2 months ago, which is not a trivial matter to be granted time-off during the probationary period of a new job. I was counting on Sloane Honda to do the good work I've always known them to do, and to be efficient and communicative like they usually are. But at a critical moment when I needed someone to reach out, I get nothing from the service department; just a nondescript voicemail message and a lone customer service representative that can't to do anything but be the bearer of bad news. And now my arrangements to be where I needed to be, on-time, for this wedding is in jeopardy because lack-of-communication from the service department; and I'm supposed to eat the costs of bookings and arrangements that are now up ended because someone failed to communicate. Even if I show up at 7am in the morning, how much longer do I now need to wait? Is there still a line in front of me? I'd hate to see what happens when someone needs their vehicle to get to work and the service department keeps their car overnight and doesn't tell them this or make it easy to reach the right people. Again, I haven't had issues in the few years I've been patronizing this establishment, but in the moment that I really needed that same level of consistency during a high stress and transition period, the communication failed and significantly set me back. I'm sure the management and service center employees will see this, and when I walk in tomorrow morning, they'll know it was me who complained. I just hope everything stays professional and they're able to quickly complete service on my vehicle, or allow me to take my vehicle back in peace. Attached to this review is a screenshot of my appointment today, 7/10/25 and a screenshot of a paid invoice from 6/19/25 just so you know that this is real.

Jeffrey was at the front desk and decided that since trying to jump to my battery wouldn't work, it "must be the starter." Andrew M was the technician, and when I received his inspection report, none of the codes that showed up indicated anything about a starter issue. Unfortunately, it was not the starter, as my car shut off on me while I was driving just 5 days later. When I finally got the vehicle back to my house, I called Pep Boys and explained the situation. The woman on the phone told me she'd get Jeffrey; after 15 minutes on hold, I hung up and tried again - this time no greeting, they just picked up and put my call on hold again. I tried a 3rd time, and same thing. The next day I was leaving for vacation and had to rent a vehicle, on top of the $600+ I spent with PepBoys for a part I didn't even need, to safely get to my destination. I took my car to my Ford dealership when I returned from vacation, and they discovered the issue was actually a blown #9 fuse and bad purge valve. My car has not broken down since Ford serviced it. For the past month I've called Pep Boys regarding this issue and have been told a manager reviewed my case (#154026) and will call me - I've still have never heard back from anyone. I've also emailed them at least 2 times and those have gone unanswered as well. The same day, there was an older woman who came in just minutes after me with the same issue, her car wouldn't start. Jeffrey said that was a starter issue as well; also before her car was even inspected/put to a code reader. Coincidence, or were starters a sales push during that time? Considering no one has had the decency to return my calls or emails, I suspect either a guilty conscience or willful ignorance. I'm currently filing formal complaints with various entities.

I was told $80 dollars for the window-glass for the door, was a good price. When I checked an auto-parts place for new, they wanted $150 for the glass. I really didn't want to pay that much for new or used. On my 3rd day, I tried Venango's used auto-parts on State rd.. I talked to Jack, and I told him my story and asked if he had a driver-side door. He said that he would check and get back to me. I gave him my number and within 1/2 an hour he called me back. He said that they didn't have a door and that he couldn't locate one on his network, but he did have a window glass that would fit and that it was still in the existing door, which was not the right one for me. He said that he would take it out for me and have it for me by 4pm. And he said that I could have it for $50. I was ecstatic when I got there and Jack had it out and was holding the window-glass for me. I didn't even have to give him money before he would do the work. He went the extra-mile without even knowing me. He was a man of his word and even gave me tips of how to install the glass. I was completely satisfied by the professionalism and dedication to serving the customer's needs which was demonstrated at Venango's Auto Parts. I would highly recommend trying this business to meet your needs. Jack is a straight-shooter and he didn't take advantage of me. Maybe he can do you a solid, too?

They've ghosted my messages, made excuses, and now try to claim they want to "fix" the car even though I legally backed out before the loan processed. They also tried to charge me a "restocking fee" and continue to play games instead of honoring what they said. This place is full of shady tactics, false promises, and terrible business ethics. I wouldn't recommend Elite Auto House to my worst enemy. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind stay far away!!!
