I went in to see if I could get my battery charged. The employee (a man with a handle bar mustache) responded in the most rude, arrogant way: "do you have the battery out of your car?" No, I need to do that? "Yes." "How do I do that?" He shrugged his shoulders. "How do I get it out if I don't know how or have the tools?" "I don't know", he says. "Do you know where I can go where someone will help me?" "No". So I walked out. I wish I got his name. I then went to OReillys on Dale Mabry and asked the same thing. They were so pleasant,helpful, came and took my battery out and charged it and the mechanic came out to explain everything to me. I've been to this particular location a handful of times now and I have never had a bad experience. All the employees are friendly and knowledgable, and they don't make me feel like an idiot for NOT knowing something! I really like that they have always changed my brake lights for me since I don't know how and have given me about a million and one very helpful tips. I was in the store sometime last week and I have to say that unfortunately I will not be returning to this location. An employee of yours I think his name was Drew, anyway he had a styled mustache. I asked him a simple question and he got an attitude with me and was asking me questions about my part sort of aggressively. I didn't have much knowledge about the part and I was asking him questions because I figure well that's his job isn't it? He spoke to me very condescendingly as if I was a child and not a 64 year old man. It was obvious that I was bothering him. He had no patience with me at all. I felt very much like he was speaking down to me and it was not only embarrassing but it was also seemed as though he just wanted me to leave. Now to frustrate that boy that much I have no idea what happened I only asked a few questions and in return was spoke to as if I was a solicitor selling something. I will not be returning. From now on I will use Auto Zone. Much friendlier there. Sure. I feel like a welcome customer from the minute I arrive to the big smile and fantastic customer service when I leave. The employee found the part (which wasn't in stock in the front) installed it on my car and then DIDN'T CHARGE ME! Went there this am around 8:15 am .. was ready to buy a $200 BMW battery and was pretty much ignored as a customer.. lady just kept ordering her parts.. you could hear other workers in back not called up front to help the customers - another guy was attempting to exchange wipers.. after waiting for well over 10 minutes I walked out.. Customer service here is phenomenal. Literally turned an unexpectedly miserable Saturday where our Honda Ruckus left us stranded on Dale Mabry into an easy, quick-fix situation. Called into the store and Winston told us to bring the battery in so he could review it. When we arrived, he walked us through the whole process, offered alternatives just in case the battery wasn't the culprit and even gave us a sweet deal - all while the store was packed! Winston was obviously very experienced and knowledgeable on all types of products and services but I noticed the other employees were as well. Came here with my roommate today because she needed a new battery for her car. As soon as we walked in the guy at the counter, Atim, helped us. He accepted a picture of a coupon I had but forgot at home for $20 off $100 purchase. He came out and changed her battery immediately. The whole process took 10 minutes.
